2 Gelt Gladiator FACTS The event takes place at our new venue at Walton, near Brampton, Cumbria, CA8 2JR. An amazing 9000 people have taken part in GG since Be part of 2019 and create memories. Sat 8th June is the kids 3k event day with a minimum 20 plus fun obstacles around the course. Sun 9th is a 10 mile, 10k and 6k run in the mud with up to 60 obstacles on the course. GG is set up for all abilities to enjoy, not just the super fit! Approaching 1000 teams have taken part in GG; hundreds of sports teams, youth clubs, business teams and similar appoint a team captain and build a team that way. A description of how to sign up is on the back page of the brochure. Runners set off in 20 minute waves and adults all receive a BEER and a tech t shirt at the end. 100,000s have been raised for local charities and groups by taking part in Gelt Gladiator. 4 GG Great for teams! Gelt Gladiator is great for sports teams, work mates, youth clubs and schools. Putting a team together is fabulous for morale and strengthening bonds! Nearly 1000 teams have enjoyed GG since It s been fantastic taking part in Gelt Gladiator for the past 3 years! Not only is it an amazing adrenaline rush but it s also great to know we are raising awareness for our charity whilst running! Allowing our children to take part too builds their own self esteem! 5 We had over 120 parents, players and managers all take part in GG in From the moment we arrived at the venue they made us feel very welcome, the staff were so helpful and happy. We ran the course which was amazing and great fun and very, very muddy. Everyone had a fab time and we will be doing it bigger and better next year aiming for 200. We tweak the course every year to ensure more excitement and enjoyment for our regular runners who come back each year.

6 COURSE AND OBSTACLES Gelt Gladiator is set in the beautiful countryside within 100 metres of Hadrian s Wall at Walton, near Brampton. For five years now we have created the very best mud run course for runners of all ages and abilities. We tweak the course every year to ensure more excitement and enjoyment for our regular runners who come back each year. Our highlight obstacles are Scafell Pike that has recently moved from the finish to the start of the event, Ice Plunge will be back in 2019 as will Shocker and our amazing 100 metres slide that you can see on the opposite page. A course map will be available around one month prior to the event. Gladiators Over the years at GG our Gladiators have included Rugby League legends Paul Sculthorpe and Ewan Dowes to name a few. Our Gladiators add an additional element to the course so watch out for them at the least expected times. (Don t worry our Gladiators will play with you and will not hurt you!)

7 The famous 100m slide! Known for its famous water slide AKA Avalanche that is made up of water cannons and 100s of litres of foam to ensure the fastest possible descent for everyone. 100 metres of pure thrill! Finished off with a whole lotta mud!

8 gladiators vs OBSTACLES! Getting to grips with our purpose built obstacles is all part of the fun and attraction of GG - perhaps that s why so many people return year after year for the GG challenge!

11 CARLISLE HALF 2019 SUNDAY 1ST SEPT HALF 10K FUN RUN Sunday 1st September will see the 2nd Carlisle Half Marathon and 10k take place in our great City. The event starts and finishes at Brunton Park (home of Carlisle United) and with over 1100 runners taking part in 2018 we are expecting to build on that success. If you are wanting to create a TEAM and be the team captain please think of a team name and add that when you get asked to Create a team. If you are joining a team that is already set up please simply search for the team name rather than click create a team and you can join that team yourself at any time. Try and get signed up before the price rises at the end of January then you can start your training for this amazing event. There are also options to pre pay for your team if you know how many you are going to get in your team and you can add your team mates details later on but by doing this before Jan 31st you can sign everyone up at the lower price.
