1 XV EUROPEAN CUP 2015 Patín a Vela & Patín a Vela Junior NOTICE OF RACE The XV European Cup 2015 for the classes Patín a Vela and Patín a Vela Junior will be held from 30 th of April to the 3 rd of Mai of 2015 in Tamariu coastal waters (Girona, Spain), organized by the Federació Catalana de Vela, the Club Nàutic Tamariu and the Real Federación Española de Vela in association with the International Patín Sailing Association (ADIPAV) 1. RULES 1.1 The race will be governed by the Rules as defined in the ISAF Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS). 1.2 The Reglamento de la Disciplina Patín a Vela If there is a conflict between languages the Spanish text will prevail. 1.4 Advertising - The organizing authority may require competing boats to carry event sponsor advertising on the hull. 2. PARTICIPANT CLASSES 2.1 The European Cup is intended for Patín a Vela and Patín a Vela Júnior. 3. ENTRY REGULATIONS 3.1 Only current fully paid members of the International Class Association and of an ISAF National Authority may enter the Championship. 3.2 Spanish competitors shall be in possession of the Spanish License card of The Championship will be held separately for the Patín a Vela and Patín a Vela Junior.

ENTRIES 4.1 Entries shall be made through the web site Entry fee is 50 per Senior competitor and must be carried out according to point 4.5 of this Notice of Race. 4.3 Entry fee for Junior competitors will be free, thanks to the contribution of Mr. Mario Calcagno Civil, past president of ADIPAV, ideologist and promoter of the junior discipline. 4.4 Entries shall be made before 20 th of April of The Organizing Committee has the right to accept entries received after this date with a surcharge of Method of payment: Bank transfer to: Bank: La Caixa IBAN: ES Subject: EURO CUP SAIL Nº (Please notify your sail number as a reference of the transfer and keep the receipt with you to avoid any misunderstanding). 5. REGISTRATION OF COMPETITORS 5.1 Each competitor shall personally register and sign the registration form at the Race Office before 12:00 on 1 st of Mai. 5.2 During registration, participants with no Spanish nationality will be required to show evidence of current membership of their ISAF National Authority, and the minimum third part liability insurance cover of , Spanish competitors will be required to show their 2015 National Sailing License card. 5.4 Sailing Instructions will be published in the official website before the event and handed over at the Race Office during the registration, if they are requested. 6. 3 6.1 The Race Office will be located in the Hotel Hostalillo. 7. MEASUREMENT COMMITTEE 7.1 All competitors could be checked by the Regatta Measurer from 17:00 on the 30 th of April, before, during or after the races. Measurement Committee will require boats to inspection, as described in the Sailing Instructions. 8. BOATS AND EQUIPMENT 8.1 In the event of damage, boats and equipment may only be substituted with the written permission of the Jury or Race Committee. 9. SCHEDULE 9.1 Schedule: Date Time Description Thursday, 30 th of April From 17:00h Registration Friday, 1 st of Mai From 09:00h to 11:30h Registration 13:00h 1st Warning Signal Senior & Junior Saturday, 2 nd of Mai 12:30h Races Sunday, 3rd of Mai 12:30h Races 9.2. Any race on 3 rd of Mai, for which a warning signal is not given by 15:30 hours, will be abandoned and not realized. 10. RACING FORMAT 10.1 Up to 6 races will be sailed for the Patín a Vela and Patín a Vela Junior classes A minimum of 2 completed races are required to constitute the championship There will be a solo ranking for Patín a Vela Class, with 1 st and 2 nd categories.

4 10.4 There will be a solo ranking for Patín a Vela Junior Class with 3 categories: Junior (<= 14 years), Youth (15 to 18 years) and Open (>= 19 years) There will be separate courses for Patín a Vela and Patín a Vela Júnior. 11. SCORING 11.1 The Low-Point Scoring System (RRS Appendix A) will apply When 4 races are completed, 1 race score will be excluded. 12. PRIZES Prizes will be awarded on 3 rd of May of DISCLAIMER All those taking part in the event do so at their own risk and responsibility. The Organizing Committee or any part involved with the organization of the event disclaim any and every responsibility whatsoever for loss, damage, injury or inconvenience that might occur to persons and goods, both ashore and at sea as a consequence of participation in the races covered by this notice of race and the sailing instructions. Attention is drawn to the RRS Fundamental Rule 4 Decision to Race, which states: The responsibility for a boat s decision to participate in a race or to continue racing is hers alone. 14.
