NZL68 Commissioned in Germany in 2003, Team New Zealand used her as a trial boat prior to their 2007 America s Cup campaign.

SPECTATOR VESSELS AND TENDERS We have a number of alternative vessel options that can be chartered individually or as support/spectator vessels for a variety of water based experiences.

14 EVENT CASE STUDIES AMERICA S CUP SAILING EXPERIENCE - AUCKLAND DURATION 2 hours MULTI YACHT SAILING - AUCKLAND DURATION 5 hours GROUP SIZE: 24 people OBJECTIVES: Client Hosting, Unique VIP Experience GROUP SIZE: 640 people OBJECTIVES: Conference activity, Destination showcase BRIEF: An Auckland based company wanted to host some of their top clients with a unique activity that made their clients feel like VIPs. EXPERIENCE: Clients arrived at the Viaduct where we issued them with host company branded jackets and caps created by Explore for the clients to keep They boarded an America s Cup yacht which featured the host company s logo on a flag Host company employees were able to interact with VIP clients whilst heading out to Waitemata Harbour Once out of the Viaduct, hosts and clients got involved together as crew raising and trimming the sails, winch grinding and helming Upon completion of the America s Cup Sailing Experience, clients were extremely grateful to be invited by hosts who finished the event by taking them for drinks at a Viaduct bar BRIEF: A large group were in Auckland for a conference and wanted to have a day where all delegates could take part in a series of activities that weren t work related. EXPERIENCE: The main group was split into four groups of 160 people across 7 sailing yachts Each group was given a different departure time so that all 640 people could experience sailing over the course of the day and still take part in other activities Groups were sailing for one hour where they sailed out past the city and under the Harbour Bridge where they could get great photos of the Auckland city skyline Each yacht had a branded flag flying with their company logo AMERICA S CUP MATCH RACING - AUCKLAND DURATION 5 hours DISCOVER THE BAY & OTEHEI BAY - BAY OF ISLANDS DURATION Half Day GROUP SIZE: 110 people OBJECTIVES: Incentive Reward, Destination showcase, Competition BRIEF: An international client wanted to see what Auckland could offer with a competitive, fun and unique experience to reward staff. EXPERIENCE: Using both America s Cup yachts NZL41 and NZL68, the group was split into four teams of 28 people Two teams Match Raced at a time, whilst the other two teams were on board our power catamaran D1 which acted as the spectator vessel for the day On board D1, guests could also help themselves to soft drinks and a delicious BBQ buffet, cooked on board. Professional race commentary was provided on board by New Zealand sailing legend Peter Lester After each race, teams were transferred between the yachts and the spectator vessel so that all could take part in racing and enjoy some of the delicious food Following a series of races, the top two teams went head to head to take the glory resulting in the winning team being presented with a magnum of champagne 26 GROUP SIZE: 60 people OBJECTIVES: Conference activity, Destination showcase, Offsite Dinner BRIEF: A corporate client wanted an offsite experience to incorporate a team building activity, marine wildlife viewing, lunch and dinner at a venue with a difference. EXPERIENCE: Delegates boarded our privately chartered power vessel from Waitangi Wharf at the Copthorne Hotel and transferred to Otehei Bay. Informative and entertaining commentary was provided on route On arrival at the stunning Otehei Bay, delegates were hosted to a gourmet BBQ lunch in the Tiki Hut area After lunch, the group was split into teams to take part in a survivor style team building experience on the island Following the activities, delegates had free time to enjoy the island paradise. Options included a tour to Hole in the Rock, Dolphin discovery or relaxing at their own leisure island walks, kayaking, SUP tours A delicious three course dinner was served inside the Otehei Bay Venue where guests could enjoy the stunning view After dinner and drinks, guests were privately transferred by boat back to the Copthorne Hotel
