Will wrk clsely with the Aquatics Directr in the hiring and n-barding prcess, staff scheduling, ensuring the hurs guideline are upheld and semi-mnthly payrll verificatin alng with prgram scheduling. Will need t serve as an emergency substitute fr lifeguards and swim lessns instructr when needed. This psitin has flexible AM and PM hurs during the week plus Saturday mrnings up t 28 hurs per week. Must be at least 21 years f age with tw years experience wrking in the aquatics field. Current certificatin in American Red Crss r ASHI CPR/AED-Pr, First Aid and Oxygen Administratin (AHSI cnversin within 30 days f hire). Current YMCA r American Red Crss Lifeguard training and certificatin Current YMCA Swim Lessns Instructr r American Red Crss Water Safety Instructr Training and certificatin. Able t hear nises and distress signals. Perfrm r assist in rescues and survival skills. Must have exceptinal rganizatinal skills, effective written and verbal cmmunicatin skills. Gd cmputer skills and able t wrk at a cmputer terminal fr extended perids. Must have an interest in wrking with all types f peple. Must be able t wrk frequent lng perids f mderate t heavy wrk. Including: Standing, walking, bending, stping, lifting, sitting and cleaning. Must be dependable and prfessinal. Must be able t pass backgrund and drug screening. Must cmplete Redwds Risk Management nline training and attend New Hire Orientatin within 30 days f hire. Lifeguards Certified part-time lifeguards needed fr mrning and afternn shifts, Mnday-Saturday. Must be reliable & fcused t ensure the safety f all participants in the aquatics envirnment at all times. When nt actively invlved with surveillance, must perfrm pl cleaning duties. Maintain a prfessinal appearance, fllw dress cde, arrive n time fr yur shift & fllw Y plicies & prcedures. Must attend all required in-service trainings & meetings requested by the aquatics directr & trainings required t ensure certificatins stay current. Must be a least 17 years f age with either YMCA, American Red Crss r ASHI Lifeguard certificatin plus CPR/AED-Pr & First Aid. Must be able t perfrm strenuus physical tasks necessary fr a water rescue. Knws/reviews all emergency prcedures & respnds t emergency situatins immediately in accrdance with YMCA plicies & prcedures & cmpletes related reprts as required. 2 Swim Lessns Instructr Certified part-time swim instructrs needed 5-8pm Mn-Thurs and 9-11:30am Saturday. Teach grup swimming lessns t participants frm six mnths ld t adults at varying skill abilities by fllwing the YMCA teaching standards & prcedures. Instructrs must wrk & cmmunicate effectively with children & adults, maintain rder & ensure the safety f all participants. Maintain recrds f skills, attendance & student prgress n rsters & skill sheets. Cmplete all student prgress reprts & certificates as required & aid in cmmunicating this infrmatin effectively with parents. Ensure all aquatics equipment is maintained prperly & reprt brken r damaged equipment t the aquatics directr timely. Maintain a prfessinal appearance, fllw dress cde, arrive n time fr yur shift & fllw Y plicies & prcedures. As a cach yu will engage new members and fllw them thrugh their initial 6 Weeks t Fitness Success. Yu ll set gals, design individualized exercise prgram based n each member s age and fitness level, educate the member n general fitness principles fr healthy living and mnitr prgress. Yu are respnsible fr the member s safety, track their appintments, dcument prgress and meet weekly with the fitness directr n member s prgress. Must be prfessinal, dependable and able t enfrce and adhere t all rules and regulatins f the fitness center and training plicies. s Knwledge f basic fitness principles, anatmy and physilgy. 3 Persnal Trainers Experienced Persnal Trainer needed fr evenings and weekends. Respnsible fr designing and implementing safe and effective fitness prgrams t help clients achieve and exceed their gals. Prvide guidance, encuragement and mtivatin t a variety f clients, frm athletes t special ppulatins. Must arrive n time fr client sessins, is dressed prfessinally including Y staff shirt. Cmmunicates directly with the client regarding scheduling, fllwing-up as needed, and tracks payments and sessins with client. Must prvide each client with yur undivided attentin, enfrcing all rules and regulatins f the fitness center t ensure the safety f yur client and prvides guidance and mtivatin. Assist clients with designing their prgram and instruct n prper exercise technique t help them achieve their fitness gals. Must have current persnal training certificatin frm a natinally recgnized rganizatin such as NSCA-CSCS, NSCA-CPT, NASM, AFAA, ACE, plus 1-3 years f experience training clients in a fitness setting. Must attend cntinuing educatin prgrams as required t keep yur certificatin current. Experience wrking with individual clients and/r a bachelr s degree r higher in a health/fitness related majr preferred. We re lking fr talented & caring cunselrs t lead & guide campers s they ll have a meaningful experience & make a psitive impact in their lives thrugh ur day-t-day prgrams. Assrted activities include swimming, grup games, sprts, arts & crafts, clubs and mre. Camp participants age range frm K-8 th grade. Must be 18 years f age. Energetic, patient & creative. Must be able t lead campers in games, swim, sing sngs, lead a variety f sprts, assist campers with their arts & craft prjects plus fcus n values & character building. Be respnsible fr the safety & supervisin f yur assigned grup f campers. Must be able t wrk with yuth & families frm a variety f backgrunds. Must be able t wrk independently & as part f a team. Must be able t pass a Level II screening (fingerprint) & drug screening. Must cmplete CPR/AED-Pr & First Aid certificatin, required Redwds nline training, required camp training and attend New Hire Orientatin prir t the first day f camp. Dance Instructr Experienced Dance Instructrs (Ballet, Tap, Jazz & Hip-Hp) are needed fr evening and pssibly Saturday classes. Must be able t lead and instruct prper techniques in a safe and effective manner t children ranging frm 2-16 years ld. Will chregraph class dances t shwcase yur students at Healthy Kids Day, Annual Dance Recital and ther special events. Must have a strng dance backgrund with direct experience teaching a variety f dance classes t children. Cmplete class training with prgram directr. Be cheerful, friendly and gd with children. Prvide music that is age and Y apprpriate. Able t relate t members and class participants in a custmer service team riented envirnment. Will teach, shw and lead by example the Y cre values f Caring, Hnesty, Respect and Respnsibility. Will greet students with a smile, take attendance, start and stp class n time and maintain a clean and neat envirnment. Must have at least 1 year f direct experience teaching tumbling and/r gymnastics with children. Must g thrugh class training with prgram directr. Must be cheerful, friendly and gd with children. Must be able t relate t members and class participants in a custmer service, team riented envirnment. Must be able t mtivate and express genuine cncern and interest fr members.
