8 PREVIOUS SKATE PARK DESIG A clear distinction between transitional elements where 2/3 of the new skate park was dedicated to plaza style (unattended) and 1/3 of the new skate park was dedicated to transition style (fenced) Skill levels, from beginner to intermediate, were accounted for in both distinct zones of the park Seating provided throughout the skate park with integration of planted zones intended not to affect active skate park zones, but to allow for rest and viewing directed towards skate park features Transitional element consisted of two beginner to intermediate bowls, with deepest portion of the bowl at 2.5 with a 4.5 extension wall (total of 7 ) UPDATED SKATE PARK DESIG Two large transitional elements in the transitional style zone were reduced to one feature element Large bowl positively impacts cost estimate and allows integrated seating elements, ADA accessibility, contiguous planted zones, less fencing, and more overall park integration in a smaller footprint. Integrated seating elements provide space for greater social interaction and elevated and unobstructed views to the Hudson River Large bowl reaches depths of 6 on one end and 11 on the other, although civil and structural details are pending and may impact fi nal height of bowl. Multi-depths allow a spectrum of skilled riders to enjoy Plaza style area has transitional elements infused into the design, and remains under the mandatory 3 to maintain unattended zone Updated park maintains all skill levels in both zones while adding one advanced element in large bowl, and one more beginner element in the plaza zone Planting areas are fewer but larger, allowing for more contiguous and healthy planting areas RIVERSIDE SKATE PARK SUMMARY OF OTABLE CHAGES SHEET 8 / 8
