4 Social Media A bit exotic for North Devon! HARTLAND ABBEY CHARITY EVENT Hartland Abbey Event Sunday 24th June and as part of a large event put on by the Abbey in aid of the North Devon Hospice. 10 per car based on 2 people in a car (work out how to share etc), payable on entry and will include 2 vouchers for the BBQ lunch with catering being provided by a large Hotel chain! Aceess to the Gardens and Grounds with lots of planned events on the day. We will have our own dedicated parking area adjacent to the tennis courts! You must book in with all your car details to timhatcher@talktalk.net as entry will be by registration number. Looking for 50 cars covering the whole spectrum of super cars, sports cars and classic cars! All cars to be on site by 1130 with meeting points at Homebase and Atlantic village to leave off promptly at 1030 and 1050 respectively.

6 Chairman's Ramblings Well the season is now underway, whilst a fair few of you would have attended Merton and enjoyed the good weather, I ended up in Tiverton at Kars and Klassics open day with Kevin Burridge. We have just been invited to a new event at Hartland on the 24 th June and so far have around 20 entries, including early Corvettes, Bentleys Heralds and Minors a true mix of motoring further details in the magazine! Another new event is Cruwys Morchard (about halfway between Tiverton and South Molton) on Saturday 14 th July from 1200) again further details in the magazine! A big vote of thanks goes out to Heather Ward for organising the closed season winter warmers the last one being the one held in April at Fremington Quay cafe, Heather has thankfully agreed to organise the same for the end of this year, they will be promulgated in the magazine but will be effectively on the last Sunday of the month (unless it clashes with the Pannier Market Show in which case it will be the Sunday before!). We also seem to be drawing in a few members from the mid Devon area now as well so it is likely that we will organise a few events in that neck of the woods. For those of you that do Facebook keep an eye on our Club page for last minute meet up points etc. Two other things to mention. For those that have not paid their annual subscription yet, please do so or you will be taken off the mailing list on the assumption that you would no longer wish to be a member. Secondly please book in with event organisers ASAP, space is limited and we wouldn't want members to miss out! It also helps the event organisers as well. CRUWS MORCHARD (EX16 8LD) PARISH FETE Hardstanding parking in front of the Village Hall for this traditional village fete starting at midday on Saturday 14 July. Free entry but we are all encouraged to partake of the village hall fayre. Cars to be in position by 1130, there will be a meeting point at the picnic area (log cabin) adjacent to the Rose Ash turn off on the A361 (next to the turbines and on the Rose Ash side i.e on the RHS coming from Barnstaple and leaving promptly at 1100) for those who want a guide. 7 Club Logo Mugs and Pin Badges We have had some mugs and coasters printed, they are available from the Chairman via . They are 5 pet set and can be collected from a show or posted for extra cost. NEW MERCH!! We also have our new pin badges. Made out of metal with an enamelled face displaying our logo. A nice high quality item, priced at 5 plus postage or collection from a show. 8 Kars and Klassics Open Day Father and son workshop Kars and Klassics have opened up in Tiverton catering for all you motoring needs. From MOT's on your modern daily to engine overhauls on your pride and joys. Kevin and Elliott held an open day to celebrate their new business and invited friends and customers to bring their classic and sports cars along. There was also BBQ's and refreshments, along with slot car racing. Their was a great variety of cars spanning from the 1930's right up to present day sports saloons. We couldn't have asked for better weather and the money raised was given to the Devon Air Ambulance.

11 CLUB T SHIRTS AND FLEECES ETC A local company has agreed to produce, pack and post T shirts, Fleeces and caps etc with the Club logo on. This saves Committee members having to organise it and paying up front out of their own pockets.
