2 Chairman s Welcome Delegates, Spouses, and Special Guests: On behalf of the IFI, Kerri and I would like to invite you to join us at the 2018 Fall Meeting at Half Moon Bay. We hope you will enjoy the location, Phil Johnson amenities and the program. The Ritz-Carlton at Half Moon Bay is just 20 miles from San Francisco International and sits on a beautiful cliff looking out over the Pacific. It is just minutes away from the charming little town of Half Moon Bay that has a wide variety of shops and restaurants. The facility offers a long list of amenities including golf, tennis, an indoor pool and a spa for relaxation. There are several local vineyards nearby for those of you wanting to venture out to try the local wines and tour the redwoods. The Ritz-Carlton is just a 30-minute cab ride from the airport, or the hotel will be happy to arrange transportation for you. Valet parking is also available at the facility but please check the charges as you decide on your local transportation. Our business agenda will begin with P&I and the Board on Sunday morning and a Membership reception that evening. Monday and Tuesday will be the Divisional meetings and the optional events (golf, of course, along with wine tours or many other options) ending with our Membership dinner on Tuesday evening. Our speakers include Jennifer Baker Reid, Peter Hasenkamp and Jodie Stewart. In addition, Salim and Laurence will give us an update on the status of the new standards launch and training and development. Kerri and I look forward to spending time with all of you! 2

Its intriguing history dates back nearly 200 years, to the Spanish land grants of the 1840s; the town also played a prominent role in the foundation of the Ocean Shore Railroad and the colorful exploits of 1930s-era rumrunners. Today, Half Moon Bay is one of the area s most vibrant seaside communities, with picturesque beaches and an abundance of thrilling outdoor activities. Horseback riding, surfing and hiking are among the more popular pastimes. Incorporated in 1959, modern Half Moon Bay offers visitors an endless variety of activities. It consists of five distinct regions that combine to make it a diverse and unique destination experience. The Coastal Region, where the resort resides, offers world class beaches, surfing, horseback riding and oceanfront dining. Historic Main Street offers dining, art and shopping. The Pumpkin Region (Half Moon Bay is home to one of the largest pumpkin festivals in the world occurring every October) offers organic fruit stands, wine tasting, farms and glass blowing. The Redwood Region allows guests to hike, bike or horseback ride amongst the awe-inspiring Northern California scenery. Finally, the Santa Cruz Mountain Region features more than 70 wineries offering wine tasting. 4 Experiences/Tours Monday, September 24 Beauregard Vineyards Tasting Experience Location: Bonny Doon, CA Approximately 40 miles from the hotel (a 55 minute drive) The Beauregard family has been working the land in Bonny Doon, CA growing premium wine grapes since Four generations later, the estate s vines now span 63 acres of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel. As winemakers, it is their mission to produce wines that display the flavor of the land and make wines that are true to their variety. The wines are simplistic in the sense that they reflect what they truly are. This is accomplished through old world winemaking techniques. Water and snacks are provided. A warm jacket is recommended. (NOTE: 35 maximum for this tour first come, first served.) $160/person (10 min/35 max) 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm Half Moon Bay Coastal Bike Tour majority of the ride takes place on flat, paved terrain and is down and back, without a loop. The bike ride includes a bike, helmet, a guide, water and snacks. Long pants, athletic shoes and a warm jacket are recommended. Take a leisurely scenic ride along Half Moon Bay s coastal trail, led by experienced guides who provide insightful information about the area and history of Half Moon Bay. Relax as you coast along, taking in views of the vast Pacific Ocean, native wildflowers and unique coastal wildlife. The ride departs from the property after each guest is equipped with a mountain bike and optional helmet. A comfortable pace is maintained traveling north to the destination of the quaint fishing harbor of Pillar Point and returning along the same route. 5 Golf & Experiences/Tours The IFI Golf Outing will take place Tuesday at 12:30 pm. (Course is on property, so no transportation required. Shotgun start is at 1:00 pm). Please indicate when registering if you wish IFI to arrange club rental. Rental clubs* $70.69 inclusive. Tuesday, September 25 Designed by renowned golf architect Arthur Hills, the Ocean Course offers a challenging and enjoyable test for golfers with Pacific Ocean views from every hole. $295/person (includes box lunch) *May be billed to individual guest rooms. Ocean Course Purisima Creek Redwood Preserve Hike Approximately seven miles from the hotel (a 15 minute drive) this preserve is located on the western slopes of the Santa Cruz Mountains overlooking Half Moon Bay. The centerpiece of this 4,711-acre preserve is Purisima Creek Canyon, home to towering redwoods. The preserve includes 24 miles of developed trails and historic logging roads, which provide opportunities for easy walks, long strenuous hikes or anything in between. Water and snacks are provided. Athletic shoes and a warm jacket are recommended. $125/person (10 min/50 max) 1:30 pm - 4:00 pm Segway Tour You are invited to enjoy the coastside from the comfort of an exciting Segway. The Segway is a self-balancing, personal transportation device, usable on any pedestrian walkway. These remarkable machines allow guests to effortlessly stop and go as they please without the worry of missing a single sight. Don t miss the opportunity to ride one of these stylish and fun Segways. The resort s guides ensure guests become acclimated to the Segways in a thorough individual training session to prepare them for the coastal trail and highlight safety while riding. All equipment is provided including helmets, snacks and water. Riders must be a minimum of 16 years of age and weigh over 100 lbs. Maximum weight on Segways is 250 lbs. Includes hot poultice massage, scalp massage. 80 minutes Speakers Peter Hasenkamp Peter Hasenkamp is Lucid s Director of Supply Chain, responsible for sourcing, selecting and ensuring the quality of Lucid s key suppliers and managing the global logistics strategy between supply chain and manufacturing. Prior to joining Lucid, Peter was Director of Vehicle Systems Purchasing at Tesla, where he established and executed the initial ground-up strategic sourcing plan for Tesla s award winning Model S, helped recruit the team responsible for all procurement and supply chain management operations and launch Tesla s first product and supply base in a record three-year timeframe. Peter previously spent ten years in product development at Ford Motor Company, working in Engineering and Program Management leadership roles on various car programs in both Detroit and overseas in Europe. Peter holds A.B. and Masters degrees in Engineering and Business Management from Dartmouth College. 6 Jodie Stewart Jodie Stewart joined Exec Comm in 2013 with over 20 years of experience in Learning & Professional Development. Her extensive background in training and client relations in technology and healthcare give her the capacity to understand business from many perspectives. Jodie brings real-world experience, and a strong understanding of competitive business markets to her clients and the classroom. She manages relationships for a diverse portfolio of clients. Throughout her career, Jodie has been well-known for her positive energy and premier client service. Prior to joining Exec Comm, Jodie managed service and sales for First Choice Medical, a New Jersey based medical equipment distributor. She provided comprehensive product in-service equipment training and practice support for medical professionals as well as exemplary patient care. Jodi is a native New Yorker and a graduate of the University of Southern California.
