1 Glam approved list of things to do in Guam with kids. Beaches Talfofo Beach - Waves crash all the way in, can surf or boogie board. Black sand beach there, very soft. Old Wives Beach good place to hunt sea glass. Beach is all crushed coral, wear good shoes. Not a good swimming beach. Can Kayak out to rope swing. Tide pools at Tarague Take the trail head through the woods right as you enter the parking area for Tarague. Leads to tide pools, lots of large exposed rocks, star shaped sand there. Tide pools full of critters and marine life. Gab Gab beach shade, bathrooms, very protected beach area with shallow water good for littles to splash. Deep pool area for big kids to jump/dive. Incredible snorkeling and diving right off the beach. Wear shoes! Inarajan pools Pretty area, protected from waves, tide pools with marine life. Matapang Beach Turn by California Pizza Kitchen Parking area and head back towards beach. Parking is close to the beach area for easy access with kids in tow, nice quiet beach that isn t crowded. Ritidian Beach Take fork off Rt 3 towards NW Field area, follow terrible road to the end. Nice empty beach with beautiful views. Hikes Marbo Cave Very short walk to fresh water caves, parking is close to walking path. Natural light in the cave, not total darkness without flashlight. Spanish Steps Semi steep hike down to a small beach area with incredible snorkeling. Some ladders and ropes to assist with terrain. Moms agreed can be done wearing a baby if you are sure footed and age 3 and up can walk it with assistance. Well worth the hike, must see while on Guam. Bug spray suggested for hike. Mt Lam Lam best time to go is right after Easter because they mow down the path to haul crosses up. Beware of sword grass rest of the year. Very hot and little shade, go early morning or evening (bring flashlight for hike back). Will be very muddy if it has been raining. Bug spray suggested. Haputo On NCTS base. Check in at the NCTS visitor center and head to the beach. Mushroom shaped rocks, gorgeous beach, very secluded. Hike is steep but has been done with kids. Ropes to assist with terrain. Short going down, serious workout coming back up. Can hike into jungle from beach to see latte stone village. Bug spray for hike down and back up. Tarzan Falls/Tarzan swimming hole Moderate hike, little shade and lots of mud. Stay to the left to get to the falls, trail to the right takes you to the swimming hole. Bug spray and sunscreen, plenty of water. Pagat Caves Medium length hike of moderate difficulty. Can be done wearing a baby and 3 and up can probably hike it with assistance and breaks. Ropes to assist with terrain at points. Trail leads to caves to swim in, caves are very dark and a dive flashlight or headlamp is necessary. Bug spray necessary. Bring plenty of water. DO NOT leave valuables or anything in your vehicle at the trail head, some prefer to leave it unlocked with a sign saying nothing of value in the car. Indoor Activities Underwater World - Annual pass is best deal if going a few times a year, ITT offers discount. Chuck E Cheese - Monday is military discount day, 10% off. Playport - Upstairs in Agana Shopping Center (best for kids 5/6 and under).

3 Go Play Upstairs is best for kids 1.5 and under, 2 and up can handle downstairs play area. Get on their list for latest info and offerings. Potential for yoga downstairs for moms and kids can play upstairs while class is going on, watch list for updates on the yoga. LeaLea kid's lounge - Across from the Underwater World gift shop. $10 for 2 hours (minimum 2 hours) and is perfect for infants - toddlers age 5. Especially helpful for hotel living during PCS in and out. Barrigada Library Wed and Sat are toddler story and craft time, free. Mommy & Me workout Andersen Fitness Center Mon & Wed at 10. Kids play together while moms enjoy a body sculpting type class led by an instructor. Lollipop Indoor play area upstairs in the Micronesia Mall. $8/hr, small but fun. Funtastic Park - Micronesia Mall food court area. In the very back is an inflatable area for older kids and also another climbing play area for little kids. Can purchase entry to one specific side or both of the play area. Keepsakes by K Large instructional area in the back of the store where crafting classes are held for older children. Nice quality crafts made in the classes. Contact them by phone or facebook for info and pricing on craft events. The Little Jungle Gym Tumbling and gymnastics area for toddlers. Various time slots for different age groups. Call before going. Search Little Jungle Gym Guam for schedule and contact info. Water Parks/Pools Leo Palace Pool has large splash area entry is $1-$2 Tarza good for little kids up to preteens. Smaller slides for little kids and larger ones for older. Nice lazy river. ITT discount tickets include fiesta plate lunch for the same price as the military rate tickets only at the door.

4 Onward More adventurous slides, small splash play area, big wave pool. Seek out fundraiser tickets for cheaper admission. PIC Large waterpark with several pools and slides. Little kid splash pad only open and 2-5. Adventure Dolphin watching free for 5 and under $40 for adults. Well worth the money, stops to let you swim and snorkel. Bring your own lunch/snacks, ITT sells tickets. Fisheye dinner show is great (fire dancers, cultural dancing and storytelling). Can walk out to underwater observation area before your dinner reservation. Feeder stations draw fish to the area, small reef sharks often seen. Zoo small and unique Cocos Island - can see sea turtles and dolphins. Don t pay to go on their boat, if able rent kayak from Navy ($15/day) and stay on the beach end. USDA snake pit on Andersen FREE! Across from control tower just past commissary is USDA building. Several brown tree snakes and a couple monitor lizards caged. Just walk up and look around. If call ahead and have a small group they may do a quick demo with the snake sniffing dogs. Ritidian Nature Preserve Free of charge, can schedule a nature tour in advance, well worth it. Guide will show tree snakes, rhino beetles and coconut crabs and tell about them. Walk to ancient civilization camp to learn about ancient villagers and vegetation. Gadao Cave easy walk to see some ancient pictographs in the caves.

5 River Cruise Mil discount is $30 adult/$20 ages 5-12/4 and under free Culture/history T Stell Newman Visitor Center/Musuem little museum right outside Navy gate. Short 10 minute historical film and interactive self-guided museum that kids will enjoy. Nice children s book selection in the gift shop. Piti Guns WWII site short and easy walking trail to see 3 old WWII guns. Kids love it. Dogs welcome. Chamorro Village night market Wed nights, go early for easier parking and navigating with a stroller. Latte Stone of Freedom for $1-$2 can enter the tower inside the latte stone to look out. Small little historical display inside where browse and purchase tickets. Carabao hunting find all the painted carabao around the island. There are lists floating around of all their locations. Fort Soledad in Umatac old Spanish fort/lookout. Beautiful views, an old stone shelter and some large gun remains are there. Sometimes there is a man offering carabao rides for a few dollars. Gef Pa go Cultural Center in Inarajan Small area where cultural presentations are done. Elder Chamorro people demonstrate arts, crafts and cooking. Very nice for a small group and they are very interactive and engaging with the littles ones. Really hands on. Misc Mt Lam Lam Shave Ice- in Dededo behind skate park area near big church.
