All of our surf lessons are delivered in a relaxed yet structured atmosphere by dedicated, qualified and experienced surf coaches. EXPLORE THE COASTLINE LIKE NEVER BEFORE Safety equipment included Coasteering is a fantastic outdoor adventure activity suited to all walks of life, young or old. Discover hidden smugglers caves, seek out sluices & whirlpools and challenge yourself to deep water cliff jumps. Traversing the tide line where the ocean meets the land, Coasteering allows you to explore secluded areas otherwise inaccessible by any other means. You re free to do as much or as little as you like. You won t have to do anything you don t want. You choose your challenges! 6 WILD CAMPING Wild camping like you ve never seen before... Canvas Bell tents IT S CAMPING, BUT WITHOUT THE FUSS Our camp is a purpose built wild campsite nestled in our very own Cornish woodland. Set on the grounds of a live working dairy farm, we ve carved out a fully working wild camp complete with a marquee, kitchen & bar, games area and of course fabulous tiered camping pitches for our super comfortable Bell tents. 7 OUR CAMPSITE A unique space in the heart of Cornwall HAND CRAFTED IN OUR PRIVATE WOODLAND Wild camping without all the fuss 15 MINUTES FROM NEWQUAY CAMPING GALLERY CAMP UNDER THE STARS... Our campsite is tucked away on a working dairy farm surrounded by the beautiful Cornish countryside. A lovingly crafted woodland hideaway which houses two separate camps, shared games area and woodland bar. You ll be free to relax in the comfort of your bell tent, unwind next to the campfire or get involved with some activities such as axe throwing and friction firelighting. Our hand built camp is a blend of glamping, woodland activities with a shire like feel to it, all rolled into a private wooded campsite setting. It s camping, but not as you know it... Our Wild Camp Site FOOD AND DRINK Make sure you bring along your BBQ ing essentials as you reflect on the day s activities and refuel for even more adventures in the sea. Our open group adventure weekends are perfect for solo travelers, couples and small groups of friends seeking new adventures. With no experience necessary, all walks of life are welcome, whether you re into the outdoors or not, we pride ourselves on accommodating everyone no matter your ambitions. 10 What to expect... Join our activity weekends as an individual, couple or as a small group of friends. We have regular weekend dates suitable for anyone who wants to join in or you can send us an with details of your group using hello@cornishwave.com. EXAMPLE ITINERARY... Saturday Sunday 9am Surf lesson 8am Breakfast 12pm Lunch 9.30am Surf lesson 2pm Coasteering 1pm Home time 5pm Wild Camping SATURDAY We kick the weekends off early with a warm welcome and an introduction & overview of how the weekend will run. Saturday is the big day with two water activities & wild camping. Each of the activities is two hours long and includes all the kit, you ll need a few personal items for the weekend, so make sure you see our packing list before you arrive. Once everyone is happy and ready, its time to grab a wetsuit and surfboard for the first of the weekend s surf lessons. Whether you are experienced or it s your first time, our surf coaches are on hand to offer advice and guide you throughout your surfing lesson. Newquay has a great vibe during the summer with plenty to look at just ask us for some recommendations on where to go and what to see. After lunch its time for the afternoon s activity, Coasteering. Once your group is kitted out you ll take a short walk over to our coasteering location, commonly known as the Gazzle. Don t worry if you aren t confident in the sea or have never tried coasteering before, your group will have two knowledgeable guides who will explain and demonstrate all the skills you need to have a fantastic time. You won t have to do anything you don t like! SATURDAY NIGHT CAMPING Once the day s water activities are finished you ll have time to grab your belongings for the evening and visit the supermarket across the road from our base before we leave in convoy to our wild campsite. We recommend some bbq food and one or two of your favourite drinks, we ll provide the rest. For those without transport, we ll help you arrange a lift share with other members of the group. The wild camp is a lovingly crafted space in our own private woodlands set on a working dairy farm in the heart of Cornwall. After a quick introduction to the camp, you ll want to settle into your shared Bell tent before the evening activities begin. With axe throwing, balance games and firelighting skills there s plenty going on throughout the evening to keep you entertained. SUNDAY Sunday morning starts with bacon & egg rolls with tea and coffee (on us) before we wave goodbye to the wild camp and head back to Newquay, jump into a wetsuit and hit the Cornish waves one last time. Lunch - You ll have plenty of time to grab some lunch and take a stroll around Newquay s many surf shops in between the activities. 9

12 What to expect... Join our activity weekends as a private group of friends celebrating a mile stone birthday or stag or hen celebration. Booking a private weekend with us means you get one of our camps all to yourselves. Challenging each other to some woodland games or simply relax around your own private fire pit with a drink it s up to you. OUR MOST POPULAR ITINERARY Friday Night Saturday 5pm Wild Camping 8am Breakfast 9.30am Surf lesson 12pm Lunch Do as much or as little as you want. We have plenty of woodland activities to your group entertained. Compete in axe throwing, slack lining, shelter building or simply kick back with a game of cards around our king sized table. You can either tailor the evening to suit your taste or leave it up to us to curate an evening for you the choice is yours! SATURDAY/SUNDAY Saturdays were made for adventure activities, choose from an action packed Surf Lesson in Newquay or an adventure filled Coasteering experience. Failing that why not go all out and do both activities? By late afternoon you ll be ready to check into one the many surf lodges and freshen up before heading out to sample Newquay s nightlife 2pm 5pm Coasteering Lodge Check In + Night On The Town A perfect weekend of wilderness and adventure. FRIDAY NIGHT Arrive at our private set of Cornish woodlands and relax in our purpose built wild camp. Unwind with a drink and end the night in our luxury Bell tent accommodation. Time for activities After you ve settled in and taken a tour of our private woodland, it s time for some light hearted activities. From axe throwing to balance games or go back to basics and learn some beginner bushcraft skills and friction fire lighting in preparation for the evening BBQ ahead. 11

Time for activities We have plenty of bushcraft activities to suit kids and adults of all ages. Build a shelter, prepare a fire, test your balance on a slack line, or simply kick back after an adventure filled day. Enjoy an evening BBQ cooked over an open fire before getting tucked up in your luxurious bell tent for the night. Mums and Dads can look forward to unwinding by the fireside with an alcoholic beverage at the end of the night. MONDAY Monday morning starts with bacon & egg rolls with tea and coffee (on us) before we wave goodbye to the wild camp and say fond farewells. 13

17 PACKING LIST A list of all the kit you ll need for a great weekend MAKE SURE YOU HAVE IT ALL KIT PACK FOR ADVENTURE CHECKLIST LIST APHILOSOPHY SURFING Something to wear under a wetsuit (swimming costume, bikini or trunks) shoes for the beach and a towel. OUR RECOMMENDATIONS FOR YOU Prior to your weekend you ll be sent a itinerary of activity timings so you know what to bring for each activity. You ll have time between activities to grab kit you need for each session. Top tip! Warm socks & suitable footwear for an evening in the woodlands is a must! Rent wellingtons for 3 per pair WE PROVIDE BACON & EGG ROLLS FOR BREAKFAST COASTEERING WILD CAMPING *For our regular adventure weekends you ll get time to grab shopping essentials before camping. Something to wear under a wetsuit (swimming costume, bikini or trunks) lace up trainers you don t mind getting wet (these are available to rent - 3 per pair) and a towel. WE RECOMMEND THAT YOU PACK AND BRING THE BELOW ITEMS. You are provided with cozy shared Bell tent, comfy air bed & pillow. 18 FIND US Located in the heart of the UK s surf capitol WHERE TO FIND US... Arriving at our central base in Newquay. To find us, you can follow the signs to Sainsbury s, we are situated directly across the road at Custard Point surf shop. (Look for the blue building) PARKING Due to our central location long stay car parks are limited. Please use the suggested car parks below. Arriving at our wild campsite. Our wild campsite is roughly 15 minutes drive from Newquay. Due to the wild nature of our campsite you ll need to follow us in convoy or see your pre arranged meeting time in your itinerary.
