The start order is random. The number of starters for the Elimination Race is limited to ten male and ten female swimmers. Allowed are only swimmers who have at least two starts per competition day. The discipline is 50m freestyle. Participants start in two heats against each other, the four fastest swimmers proceed to the next round, where they will again swim against each other. This will continue until the two fastest swimmers from each heat are found; they then proceed to the final run. In the finals the racing will continue and after each race the slowest swimmer will be eliminated until only the champion is left. For the Elimination Race the ten fastest entries from 50m freestyle will be considered. Prices for the Elimination Race will be announced on our homepage closer to the event. General information: Times from the Elimination Race will not be considered for any other event of the Cool Swimming Cup. The Elimination Race will start with the first female run, then first male run, second female, second male run. This order will be kept until the finals, where both heats are put together.

5 General Rules: 1. Competitions are open to all members and clubs of the DSV and the FINA. The competition regulations, the license rules, the legal rules and the anti-doping rules of the German Swimming Association (DSV) are valid. Also this competition is registered and will appear in the DSV calendar. All legal provisions for the protection of children and underaged persons apply according to the DSV regulations. 2. The competition pool is 25m long and will be divided into five lanes by wave breaking ropes. Water temperature is 27 C (aprox F), water depth ranges from 1.6m-3.6m. Timing will be electronically with an automated timing system. Starting will be according to the one-start-rule with overhead start. 3. Entries must be complete and with statement of personal best as well as the register number of the swimmer. Entries should be given via an entry list (DSV Standard) preferably via (DSV Standard 6). The entries must be accompanied by the official DSV or FINA registration form. 4. All German clubs are required to provide licensed referees for all parts according to the following chart: from 20 entries 1 referee entries 2 referees over 120 entries 3 referees Referees must be named in the entry list with their preferred position during the competition. The final entry list will also be distributed prior to the competition in paper form. If you need the final record list in paper form after the competition, please state on the entry. The final record will be provided as PDF and DSV file for download on our homepage. Both will also be sent to all participating clubs via The entry fee for single starts and relay starts is EUR 6.20, but will be reduced by EUR 0.50 per start if the referees are provided according to the above shown chart. Information for the 200m starts: 200m freestyle: If we receive more than 50 entries, the organizer reserves the right to start in double occupancy and limit the 200m breast and backstroke to the 50 fastest participants. 8. The organizer also reserves the right to reject entries in case the maximum number of entries is already reached. Award ceremonies are part of the competition. All certificates, medals and trophies which are not collected will not be given later or sent after. This also applies for prize money. By submitting their entry, the participating clubs and contestants are accepting that pictures from the competition are taken and published on the homepage as well as local newspapers. During the event, the house and bathing rules of the indoor pool Gersthofen apply. The organizer does not accept any liability for any accidents or thefts. 9.
