Meet Rules: Approved by Swim Alberta. All current SNC rules will be followed. SNC warm-up procedures will be in effect. Eligibility: All swimmers registered with SNC or members of associations affiliated with FINA are eligible. Qualifying Times: There are no qualifying times for this meet, except for the 400m, 800m and 1500m distance events. UCSC reserves the right to enter swimmers from our club regardless of qualifying time standards. Age Categories: Girls: 10 & Under, 12 & Under, 14 & Under, Boys: 11 & Under, 13 & Under, 15 & Under, Note: Swimmers can only swim above their normal age group if they do so for the entire meet AND if they have a Canadian Age Group Championship standard time for their age in at least one event in this meet. Meet Format: Maximum 7 individual events per swimmer. A and B finals will be held for the following age categories: Girls 14 & Under and, Boys 15 & Under and. The 400 Free may be limited to the top 24 Page 1 of 5

2 swimmers in each age group and will be run as a Timed Final. Coaches are encouraged to provide alternate swims. Note: All of the Girls 12 & under events and Boys 13 & under events will be Timed Finals. Distance Events*: Proof of time for 800/1500 free events is required and must be submitted with entries. Girls 12 & under must meet the 12 year old B time standard in their distance event to qualify. Boys 13 & under must meet the 13 year old B time standard in their distance event to qualify. Coaches are encouraged to provide alternate swims. A positive check-in by 8:00am on Sunday will be in place for the 800m and 1500m events. For girls the top 16 swimmers in 12 & Under, the top 16 swimmers in 14 & Under, and the top 24 swimmers in the age categories will be eligible to swim the distance events. Similarly for boys the top 16 swimmers in 13 & Under, the top 16 swimmers in 15 & Under, and the top 24 swimmers in the age categories will be eligible to swim the distance events. These events will be swam as an OPEN event fastest to slowest. For the distance events, Meet Management reserves the right to (a) reduce eligible swimmers per age group, (b) add heats, (c) double lane heats, and/or (d) mix genders. 400 IM: All Girls 12 & under must meet the 12 year old B time standard to enter this event. All Boys 13 & under must meet the 13 year old B time standard to enter this event. Meet Management reserves the right to limit enrollment of swimmers to the first 400 swimmers, to alter, revise, limit enrollment, or otherwise modify the program. Coaches will be advised of any changes prior to the start of the meet. Clubs entered in all 3 days will be given special consideration. Entries: Entries are to be submitted using Hy-Tek. Hy-Tek files are to be uploaded on line at Time of receipt of uploaded entries will be considered as the date and time on the notification sent to the meet manager through the SNC site. Deck entries will be permitted under the following circumstances: 1. No new heats will be created to accommodate a deck entry. 2. Approval of the meet manager. 3. Deck entries shall be classified as Exhibition swims. 4. Swimmers will be charged a rate of $15.00 per timed final (TF) event, or $18.00 per heats/finals event payable upon entry being confirmed. Entry times are required for all entries to facilitate timing of the meet by the meet manager. An entry of NT will NOT be accepted. Entry Times: All entries must be submitted in original course format times (ie., no conversion by clubs will be accepted). Meet Management will convert all times to SC format using Hytek Meet Manager parameters. Entry Fee: Timed finals events - $7.50 per individual entry/$9.25 per relay entry Heats & Finals events - $9.00 per individual entry/$9.25 per relay entry Page 2 of 5

3 Maximum 7 individual events per swimmer. Entry Deadline: Entries and entry fees are due on or before January 2 nd, 2016 at 5:00 pm. Cheques to be made payable to and sent to: Elan Harper c/o KNA 253, 2500 University Drive NW, Calgary, Alberta, T2N 1N4 Scratches: No refunds will be issued for scratches received after the entry deadline. A scratch sheet, complete with the name of the club, the name of the swimmer and the event numbers(s), must be handed to the Clerk of Course no later than 30 minutes before the start of each Timed Final session and before the start of the Heats session. Scratch deadline for the Finals event (session 5) is 30 minutes after the conclusion of the Heats session (session 3). Final name changes for relays must be provided to the Clerk of Course no later than 60 minutes prior to start of relays. For optimization of the meet, scratches are helpful/appreciated up until 5 pm on Jan 13 th, 2016 by ing Elan Harper at elanharper@hotmail.com Seeding: All Heats and Time Finals will be senior seeded, slowest to fastest. A and B Finals will swim fastest to slowest in the following age groups: Girls 14 & Under and / Boys 15 & Under and. B finals will only swim if there are 16 or more swimmers in prelims. Distance events will swim fastest to slowest. Awards: Girls: 10&Under, 11-12; and Boys 11&Under, 12-13: Medals/ribbons will be awarded for individual events. Medals will be given for 1 st, 2 nd, and 3 rd places and ribbons for 4 th to 8 th places in all events excluding distance and 400 IM events. Distance and 400 IM will award Girls 12&Under and Boys 13&Under. Girls 13-14, 15&Over and Boys 14-15, 16&Over: For all events - scoring will be (1st-2nd-3rd). This will give the athlete the corresponding number of entries into a draw for multiple Team Aquatic gift certificates (ie. a win in an event will give that swimmer 3 entries into the draw, 2nd will be 2 and 3rd will be 1). For events with finals, points will be earned in the following order: A final, B final, then prelims. At the end of the competition we will draw names (3 for each age group/gender) for the Team Aquatic gift certificates. Relay Events: Medals will be given for the 1 st place and ribbons for the 2 nd and 3 rd places. Results: Results will be posted on the SNC site Unofficial results will be shared via Meet Mobile, and posted on the website:. 4 Heat Sheets: Heat sheets will be made available via Meet Mobile as well as being posted on the University of Calgary Swim Club website: prior to each session. We will also post a hard copy in the viewing area for those who don t have access to Meet Mobile or the UCSC website. Heat sheets will not be available for sale. Officials and coaches will still be provided with heat sheets prior to the start of each session. Coaches Meeting: A coaches meeting may be held on January 15 th, 2016 at 12:15pm at the south end of the pool.
