The marshalling area is situated on the far side of the 50m pool, in the gym area (which is surrounded by blue lattice). 2. No person other than an authorised official or swimmer about to compete shall enter the marshalling area. 3. Once a race has been assembled its competitors must remain in the marshalling area until requested to move to the pool-deck by a Marshaller or Check Starter. DO NOT GO AWAY. 4. No person other than an authorised official or a swimmer about to compete shall enter the pool-deck section whilst the meet is in progress. 5. No unauthorised person shall walk on the pool-deck between the timekeepers and the pool. 6. No person may enter the water between events except with the approval of the Referee. 7. The 25m pool will be available for warm-up for approximately 1 hour before the start of each session. At other times warm-up / warm-down facilities are available in Lanes 7-8 in the 50m pool. 8. Competitors must swim in lanes allotted in the program, unless otherwise directed. 9. No person will be permitted to move along the sides of the pool during a race. No pacemaking will be permitted, nor any device be used or ploy adopted which has that effect. No instructions may be given by any coach or official to any swimmer, after he or she has commenced the race. 10. The Referee will determine all disputes that may arise within his jurisdiction and his decision will be FINAL. 11. Heats may be consolidated at the discretion of the Marshallers, the Meet Director and the Referee. Heats will not be reseeded. 12. Medals will be awarded to the fastest three placegetters in each age group 7 & Under, 8, 9, 10, 11 and12. 3

13. For senior ages groups 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 & Over cash prizes will be given. Points will be awarded to senior swimmers for places in each event in their own age group as listed.

Points will be awarded to senior swimmers for places in each event in their own age group as listed. 10 points will be awarded for 1st in an age group event 2nd 8 points, 3rd 6 points, 4th 5 points, 5th 4 points, 6th - 3 points, 7th 2 points, 8th 1 point. Points will be totalled at the end of the meet with the top 10 male and the top 10 female point scorers of all combined senior age groups. With 1st place receiving $150, 2nd - $125, 3rd - $100, 4th to 6th places receiving $75 with 7th to 10th places receiving $50. In the event of a tie the value of the prize and subsequent placings will be divided amongst the tied swimmers. 14. The meet shall be conducted under the Rules of the FINA as prescribed in the Handbook of the FINA, the Rules of Swimming Australia and the Rules of Swimming Queensland with additions or amendments as from time to time decided by the Board. 15. Rule Tolerences for swimmers 7 and under. 16. The meet will be conducted under the one start rule, with over the top starts. 4
