Every entrant must be affiliated as a Player Member to Table Tennis England, or be a member of another national association in membership of the ITTF. 2. Table Tennis England Tournament Regulations apply to this tournament including Regulation R (Regulations banning use of certain adhesives and restricting gluing-up ). ITTF Regulations for International Competition apply, except those relating to matters covered by items marked (x) in this entry form. 3. Completion and submission of this entry form signifies agreement by the entrant to the conditions of the competition including the variations from the ITTF requirements. 4. All competitors will be required to umpire. 5. All matches will be the best of 5 games. Play throughout will be on a knockout basis, with the exception of the preliminary rounds in all singles events, which will be in groups of four (where possible) with the first two players qualifying. The final order in a group shall be determined as per ITTF regulation for group competitions except that where a player concedes a match he/she shall receive -3 group points (x). 6. Competitors in Veteran events must have been born before 1st January 1978, competitors in Under 21 events after 31st December Table Tennis England Appendix C to Rules will apply. Players must not wear shirts/shorts that are predominantly white. 8. Competitors will be permitted to practice on tables not in use at the discretion of the Referee. 9. No competitor or official shall engage in betting on players or matches. 10. Doping shall not take place either before or during play. 11. All competitors must report to the control table on arrival and must not leave the venue without first obtaining permission from the Referee. 12. Entry to banded events is restricted to player s rating, according to the Table Tennis England Ranking List current at the closing date for entries. Restrictions are as follows: Men s Band 1: Women s Band 1: Men s Band 2: Women s Band 2: Men s Band 3: Women s Band 3: Men s Band 4: Women s Band 4: up to 1000 Men s Band 5: Men s Band 6: up to 450 Players may enter their own band and/or the one above. The organising committee reserves the right to give dummy ratings to any entrant who does not appear on the current Table Tennis England ranking list. Mixed Restricted singles is open to ALL players who are not eligible to play in the U21 or Veteran events and is open to men and women, including the top ranked players. Open Doubles is open to all male/female partner combinations. Players can play Doubles OR U21/Veteran/Restricted event, not both. Qualifying rounds for doubles will be played in groups. Partners will be provided of a similar standard where required and available, please mark partner as wanted if no partner. Banded Events - If you do not have an England ranking, in most cases you will qualify for Band 6 (Men) or Band 4 (Women). 13. Should there be insufficient entries in any event, the Referee reserves the right to cancel/merge such event and/or place the entrants in a similar event. 14. The use of rackets prepared with glue containing VOC s will not be allowed. 15. The Referee s decision shall be final on points of law on any question arising not provided for in these regulations or in any dispute as to the interpretation thereof. Decisions on points of fact by an umpire or assistant umpire appointed by the Referee shall be final. 16. No entry will be accepted unless the following undertaking is signed. 1. To observe the regulations. 2. To abide by the decision of the Referee and Organising Committee.

3 3. To fulfil the schedule of play arranged for me unless prevented by circumstances beyond my control and accepted as such by the Referee. 17. Every player must hold a valid Table Tennis England Player Licence or have paid the appropriate Single Competition Licence fee with his/her entry form unless he/she provides proof of being a member of another national association affiliated to the ITTF and is not affiliated to Table Tennis England. TOURNAMENT INFORMATION 1. Entry Form - All entries must be sent to the tournament referee by the closing date Saturday 12 th May Send entry to: Rory Scott, Lyons Holding, Lyons Road, Slinfold, West Sussex, RH13 0TD. 2. Entries - Entry forms shall be submitted with full payment of fees. However, the referee may accept late entries, or entries without payment at his discretion, but such entries will be subject to a 2 surcharge. They will also be regarded as last received under the last in first out rule when entries have to be discarded due to over-subscription. Cheques should be made payable to 'Horsham Spinners TTC'. ed entries will be accepted with entry form as an attachment & accompanied by payment by bank transfer. Playing Conditions - Play throughout will be on at least 7 Butterfly tables (if entry is high enough, up to 15 tables may be used), nets and posts with Yasaka 3 Star (White) 40+ seamed plastic (Poly) balls. Individual court size 9m x 5m minimum enclosed by surrounds. Scoring machines will be used for all matches. 4. There is a cafe on site for hot and cold food and drink. Further light refreshments will be available for purchase from the referee. 5. Accommodation see 6. Changing rooms & showers are available at the venue. There is ample free parking. 7. Entries - If it is necessary to restrict entries, this will be done on last received, first out basis. Grand Prix tournaments are often oversubscribed, so enter early to avoid disappointment. 8. Practice - There are no separate practice facilities. 9. Admission - Free to competitors. 10. Notification - Entrants will be notified of the time of their first match on each day by (if an address is given). The draw will take place on Thursday 24 th May All matches will be announced w i th o ut a PA s ys t e m. Players must not leave the centre without permission of the Referee. Repeat calls for a player will be limited to three per day. 12. Player Number - A 5 deposit is included on the entry form. This will be refunded when the player returns their player number to the referee, having carried out any umpiring duties required under Regulation no. 4. Note that number deposits are only refundable on the days of the tournament. 13. No refunds are possible after the closing date unless the player can produce a valid doctor s note indicating illness or injury. PRIZE FUND: (Amounts reflect usual no. of participants in each event). Men s Singles: Winner- 250, Runner Up- 100 (*minimum 24 entries) Women s Singles: Winner- 80, Runner Up- 50 (*minimum 8 entries) Men s Band 1: Winner- 50, Runner-Up- 20 (*minimum 7 entries)

4 Women s Band 1: Winner- 50, Runner-Up 20 (*minimum 6 entries) *Please note that for the above Cash prizes to be awarded there will need to be a minimum no. of entries in each event. These figures are provided above. If entries are lower than the figures above, then the prize fund will be reduced accordingly.
