1 Aloha Summer Classic and Spring Break Madness Tournament Update No. 5 Spring Break Madness is almost here!!!!!! Team Registration: Spring Break Madness: Closed If you would like to be wait listed positions may open once the entry fee deadline approaches. March 12, 2019 Please usaaloha@aol.com Aloha Summer Classic: Open TM2 tournament registration system - Step 1: Set up a free club account. Step 2: Create a team the system will lead you through the process of creating a team code for each team similar to that what is in webpoint. Step 3: For each team select the tournament wishing to enter. (Type in the first few letters into the search box making the selection easier rather than scrolling through all the different tournaments. Step 4: Upload a roster from webpoint or bring 2 copies of the roster when you check in your team(s). Step 5: You can pay for the entrance fee via the website however, there is a 3.0% transaction fee or write a check made payable the Aloha Region Aloha Summer Classic and mail to: Kent Ma Pookela St. Kaneohe, HI Page

2 Guest Admissions: The TM2 website also handles advance ticket purchases for admission to the event. Register and pay now to receive a discount and avoid the lines to purchase your tickets at the door. There is an very early bird special for the 3 day and a 2-day passes which ends on March 15, Another smaller discount will be available from March 16 23rd, The system generates a scannable code that will be sent to your designated address. Upon check in the code will be scanned by our volunteers at the door and you will be given the respective wrist band. Lucky Dog Volleyball Team Scholarships: Lucky Dog Volleyball is awarding a total of 4 team scholarships. Two scholarships will be awarded at the Spring Break Madness and another two at the Aloha Summer Classic. One scholarship valued at $2,500, (Aloha Team Scholarship - for US and International teams) and a $2,000 team scholarship for Hawaiian Island Team Scholarships, (teams from Hawaii). Information for the video can be found at: Hawaiian Island Team Scholarship The deadline for The Aloha Team Scholarship has passed but the deadline for the Hawaiian Island Team Scholarship is March 12, 2019, (Spring Break Madness). Lucky Dog Volleyball will announce the winner of the team scholarship during the tournament. Aloha Summer Classic Deadlines: The submission deadline for Hawaiian Island Team Scholarship, ($2,000) is June 4, The submission deadline for the Aloha Team Scholarship, ($2,500) is now closed. 3 In conjunction with The Hawaii Combine, Live Streaming of certain matches will be conducted during the tournament. Special arrangements to have your daughter s set / match live streamed may be arranged with The Hawaii Combine. Please check this out at the Championship Desk. More specifics TBA. Team Check-In: Teams will be asked to check in on Thursday, March 21, 2019 between 4:00 7:00 pm in Lobby area of the Hawaii Convention Center. Drop off two rosters and pick up your team s credentials for entry into the tournament. Avoid the check in lines on the day of the tournament. Hawaii Convention Center - Hotel Room Night Survey: Also attached is a brief survey of teams visiting from the Outer Islands, Off-shore teams (includes teams from the outer islands) as well as local teams opting to stay at nearby hotels. The Hawaii Convention Center would like to get an idea where you and your teams are staying during your visit to Hawaii. This would include your team as well as the adults that are accompany the team. Please complete the form and return it to me. Tournament Format: Round Robin: Two out of Three first two sets to 25 pts. (27 pt. cap), two 30 sec. timeouts, Third Set to 15 pts. No Cap Warm up Protocol 2 minutes shared; 4 minutes - Serving Team, 4 minutes Receiving team. Challenge Match (if required): One set to 25 No Cap Two time outs. Finals - Single Elimination: Two out of three first two sets to 25 pts No Cap; Two 30 Sec Timeouts Third set to 15 pts No Cap; Two Timeouts Officiating Responsibilities: R1 will be provided by the tournament. 3 Page

4 R2, scoring and linespersons will be the responsibility of the assigned officiating team. Miscellaneous Notes: The Hawaii Convention Center: 1. Provides free wi-fi and water in the Lobby area of the Convention Center. 2. Prohibits outside food and drinks (with the exception of water for the players). Team coolers are not allowed in the lobby area. NOTE: We have arranged for teams to leave their coolers in a separate room located on the third floor of the Convention Center. 3. Prohibits the any type of ball playing in the lobby.
