VU VOLLEYBALL COACHING STAFF HEAD COACH STEPHANIE ARMSTRONG Stephanie Armstrong is beginning her second season in charge of the VU volleyball program.

5 VU VOLLEYBALL COACHING STAFF HEAD COACH STEPHANIE ARMSTRONG Stephanie Armstrong is beginning her second season in charge of the VU volleyball program. Coach Armstrong took over the Trailblazer program in 2014 after being an assistant volleyball coach, recruiting coordinator and assistant strength and conditioning coordinator at Franklin College the previous two seasons. Armstrong played an important role with the Grizzlies volleyball program. In addition to coaching and technique instruction, her responsibilities at Franklin included organizing outside workouts and conditioning, facilities scheduling, matchday set-up and preparation, scouting opponents via film exchanges, budgeting process assistance and helping monitor player academic progress. She also coached the Grizzlie defense to post its best season performance in 15 years. Four Franklin players earned all-conference honors in Prior to joining the Franklin College coaching staff, Armstrong was a player and coaching intern at Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, PA. She is a Ripon, CA, native who was a four-year member of the Franklin & Marshall Volleyball Team, helping the Diplomats win a Centennial Conference championship and earn a berth in the NCAA Div. III Championship Tournament in Franklin & Marshall appeared in the Centennial Championship Tournament for four consecutive years. Armstrong also served as an intern for her alma mater s volleyball program, assisting with recruiting, workouts, administration, fundraising activities and the Diplomat Volleyball summer camp. In addition, she has served as an assistant coach for Team Indiana (head coach for the club s 17-1 Elite Team) and several other volleyball clubs and camps.

6 VU VOLLEYBALL COACHING STAFF ASSISTANT COACH MIKE MISNER VU Assistant Volleyball Coach Mike Misner returns for his 12th season on the sidelines for the Trailblazer Volleyball program. He originally became connected to the program when his daughter played for the Trailblazers for two seasons. Prior to arriving as the assistant coach at VU, Coach Misner was a successful high school and club volleyball coach. Coach Misner relies on the connections he made during those early years to assist in recruiting for the Trailblazers, along with his other duties.

It is the birthplace of one of the nation s first two-year institutions of higher learning. Founded in 1801 and incorporated as Vincennes University November 29, 1806, VU is one of only two U.S. colleges founded by a President of the United States. William Henry Harrison founded VU and Thomas Jefferson founded the University of Virginia. Situated on the banks of the Wabash River, the 160- acre VU campus includes more than 30 modern buildings featuring red-brick construction consistent with the first campus building, the 1803 home of VU s founder, William Henry Harrison. The Harrison mansion is open for tours. The campus also features red-brick walkways, abundant landscaping, and easy access to the legendary Wabash River and the George Rogers Clark National Historical Park. Vincennes is about 120 miles southwest of Indianapolis at the junction of U.S. highways 41, midway between the cities of Evansville and Terre Haute.
