Transition from Academy to Competitive Rosters Teams will be formed based on ability. Mltiple teams will be formed if tryot nmbers allow. Ideal roster size will be players for 11U/12U teams. This will give the players a chance to have more playing time dring games in 9v9 format. Ideal roster size will be players for 13U and above as the older players typically have more conflicts. To play competitive soccer, players with a birth year of 2009 mst be approved by the Director of Coaching and by LSA Technical Director. This is a difficlt process and is designed to be tilized only by the occasional player that is not being challenged in their own age grop. This is loosely referred to as the Messi rle. For the 11U teams, the DOC mst determine the level or teams will compete within the LCSL. There will be three levels of competition- Competitive 1, 2 and 3. Based on the performance and reslts, the teams can be promoted or relegated. There will be two mandatory tornaments all CABOSA/SU teams will participate in the CABOSA Cp in the fall, and Red River Classic in the spring. Usally, individal teams travel to two additional tornaments in the fall and spring.

Competitive 11U-19U After tryots the teams will be divided by strength. Ble will be the top team, White the second team, and Yellow the third team, nmbers permitting. All teams 11U-14U will train 3 times per week (2 times if mandatory rest day on Monday). Teams 15U-19U will train 2 times per week. Players that are 15U and older that are seeking additional training will have the option to participate in or Next Level Training Program. All teams will be coached by or professional staff that is USSF, NSCAA and UEFA certified. Play ps will be allowed only if the yonger player makes the top Ble team. Play ps will need to be approved by the Director of Coaching and will be handled on a case per case basis. Decisions on play ps are made with the best interest of the individal player first and the team second. Practices will be 90 mintes long. The sal session strctre is as follows:

Competitive 11U-19U Warm p - 10 min Physical - 15 min Techniqe - 20 min Tactics -15 min Scrimmage 25 min Cool Down and Debrief - 5 min Principles of Play Practices will be abot developing the technical and tactical intelligence of the player. The main objectives of the session plans will be: Technical - Accracy and speed in individal and collective techniqes Tactical - Improve attacking and defending principles of play Physical - Improve speed, agility, coordination and balance Psychological - Cooperate with teammates in collective tasks Scrimmage - Match focs on possession and transition

18U/19U Strctre LSA has moved the 18U-19U State Cp to March which now avoids gradation, dances, and the majority of senior trips. Players are able to play Fall/High School/Spring and still enjoy the last few months of their senior year. Teams will train twice per week and participate in the LCSL (typically 6 games over the corse of the entire year). They will also participate in tornaments based on player availability. Fees and niforms will be the same as 15U-17U. Players enrolled in this program may also choose to participate in the Next Level Training Program. Additional playing option for 15U-19U (high school freshman seniors) If we do not have enogh players to form a 19U team, we will offer an high school competitive leage playing option. 19U players wold be groped together by school and will play games 1 day per week. Players that are registered and participating on a 15U-18U competitive team and in high school, yo can also play on these school based teams as secondary players. This provides additional competitive games for or players as they prepare for their high school and collegiate seasons. Recreational players or players not participating on a competitive team in the 15U-18U program wold not be able to play nless we do not have enogh players to form a team in a respective age grop/gender. Teams wold be assigned a volnteer coach to oversee games. Cost for this playing option is $105 for 7 games + playoffs (incldes US Clb registration) These teams may also have the ability to compete in tornament play based on competitive team schedles. Players registered to 15U-18U teams mst flfill their team obligations first in regards to training and games.

Clb Environment and Experiences Last year we introdced the Senior Academy Program which inclded boys and girls teams in the 14/15 and 16/17 age grops. These teams participated in the Loisiana Premier Development Leage along with Baton Roge, Mandeville, Cajn Soccer Clb, and Loisiana Fire. The program was designed to provide a higher level of training and ltimately a more tailored platform for players that are looking to play at the next level. The state implemented this leage as an attempt to change the soccer cltre within or state. When the Directors of the clbs participating met to discss the leage and commit to participating, we were told that all clbs wold by in and strctre their programs as was otlined by the state association. Unfortnately several clbs did not change their clb strctre and simply entered their pre-existing teams in the LPDL leage. This has had an adverse affect on some of or teams who were placed in inappropriate leages based on how or teams were formed. As with any new program, there were many things that were sccessfl abot the program and a few things that need to be adjsted to make them more sccessfl. The training that these teams have received has been otstanding with all for teams being coached by A license level coaches. We have had the opportnity to expose or players to college coaches in Showcase environments. We have had the opportnity to edcate or players and parents on the college recritment process. What We Learned While or Senior Academy teams were competitive on the field, they are still made p of a wide range of players with different soccer goals and aspirations. There were players that chose not to participate in this program and that hrt or teams since we do not have as deep a player pool as other larger markets. Many players within the Senior Academy are not tilizing the resorces that are being provided. Namely the college recriting tool Captain U, the YMCA for strength and conditioning or recovery sessions, and team bilding by riding the bs home after events. After interviewing the players it is apparent that the nmber of players that are trly committed to prsing a collegiate career and are dedicating the necessary time in training to achieve this is small. The trth is we have a handfl of players that have this mindset while the rest are more concerned with playing competitively with their friends and not missing ot on other activities otside of soccer. This has cased players to talk abot not playing next year de to not wanting the level of commitment reqired of the program. So the qestion becomes, how do we keep or best players together while still providing a platform for elite level players to get college exposre?

Next Level Training Program Players mst be registered on a 15U-19U competitive team in order to participate in this program. All coaches that condct training will have a minimm USSF C license or eqivalent which will be overseen by an A license staff member. In addition to their twice a week reglar training, players will attend a third training session that cold be a field session or classroom session. These will not be every week as we will schedle them in accordance with their team sessions and D1 training. Field sessions will be focsed on technical proficiency, fnctional tactical sitations, and soccer specific fitness. These sessions cold have boys and girls together or separated depending on the nmber of players that choose to participate. There will also be position specific training to address technical and tactical aspects. Players will attend training at D1 twice per week. The D1 crriclm is designed to develop strength, power, speed and agility sing Olympic lifts and advanced speed dynamics, mirroring a Division 1 collegiate program. A few of the primary components of the college game that or players have said they were the least prepared for is the fitness reqirements and the time spent in the weight room. This program will help address these deficiencies in or players. College Recriting Service Players will receive a silver membership within Captain U to maintain their player profiles and assist with connecting with prospective college programs. This system gives players the ability to add events they will attend and coaches directly. Players can also research specific college programs by geographic area, division, cost, etc. Player Mentorship Players will be assigned a Coach mentor that will work individally with the player on evalations, their training program, and assist with the college recritment process. The mentor will also work to identify playing opportnities otside of the clb if available. This cold be gest playing with other LA teams or seeking gest playing opportnities at showcase events with teams in need of players. The idea of this program is to take all of the sccessfl components of the Senior Academy and focs or resorces on the individals that really want to prse this level of dedication and commitment to improving as a player and competing at the highest level possible.
