partners Zne Rep caches DIMENSIONS AND AUTHORITIES: Staff Reprting Paid Vlunteer Expenditure - Budgeted Cntractual Authrity Nrthern Mystics Assistant Cach KEY RESPONSIBILITIES While the Nrthern Mystics Cach has verall respnsibility fr the selectin, preparatin, caching and perfrmance f the Nrthern Mystics Team and Squad, the Assistant Cach will be part f the Nrthern Mystics caching unit and be required t wrk with and supprt the Nrthern Mystics Cach in the fllwing areas: 1. T cntribute t the planning and develpment f effective, creative prgrammes and training sessins that help t ensure the individual players in the Nrthern Mystics Team and Squad are technically, physically and mentally prepared t perfrm at elite level. 2. T wrk with the Nrthern Mystics Cach and Perfrmance Analyst t utilise cding technlgy (Gamebreaker r Sprtscde Elite) t accurately analyse and identify key ppsitin players, teams and strategies as well prvide key data fr the Nrthern Mystics team and individual players. 3. T cntribute t the develpment and implementatin f astute game tactics and strategies necessary fr the Nrthern Mystics t be successful against each ppsitin. 4. T plan & implement apprpriate training sessins as agreed with the Nrthern Mystics Cach that target develpment f agreed skills and tactics. 5. T prvide input int the selectin f the starting 7 and substitutins t enhance the n curt perfrmance 6. Assist the Nrthern Mystics cach in match debrief and player feedback prcesses

7. Assist the Nrthern Mystics cach and Netball Nrthern High Perfrmance Manager t cnduct regular player reviews thrughut the seasn and als end f seasn player reviews. 8. Full verview and directin prvided fr players 11, 12, 13, 14 and the wider squad. 9. Mnitr weekly player prgressins in all training areas. In additin, the rle f Assistant Cach will include the fllwing respnsibilities: 10. T wrk with the HPSNZ Supprt Services team t versee the effective prvisin f supprt services fr the Nrthern Mystics squad and training partners. 11. T wrk with the Nrthern Mystics Cach and Netball Nrthern Zne High Perfrmance Manager t cntribute t the develpment f HP plans, plicies and prtcls in the zne. 12. T wrk with Nrthern Mystics cach, Zne High Perfrmance Manager and HPSNZ Caching Team persnnel t keep up t date with caching develpments, sprts science research, teaching skills and techniques in netball and sprt generally and t identify and plan a prfessinal develpment training prgramme. The Assistant Cach will reprt t the Nrthern Mystics Cach n all peratinal and management matters including prgramme planning, trainings, player feedback, HPSNZ supprt persnnel and administrative matters. The Assistant Cach is ultimately accuntable t the Netball Nrthern High Perfrmance Manager wh is respnsible fr the develpment and implementatin f the Zne High Perfrmance Plan and prgrammes. The Assistant Cach is expected t act in a prfessinal manner and build relatinships with umpiring persnnel, media, spnsrs, funders and ther Netball Nrthern Zne and ANZ Champinship persnnel.

Experience, Caching & Specialist Knwledge Remains calm and cnfident with ability t make bjective, quick and gd decisins in pressure situatins Demnstrates a cmmitment t prfessinal develpment as a cach Has cached at New Zealand Champinships, Age Grup Champinships, (minimum Under 21 level) r a NNZ natinal side fr a minimum f 2 years. Demnstrates a very gd level f understanding f the technical and tactical requirements f each playing psitin and area f curt. Assists with the selectin f the starting line and substitutins fr each game that are cnsistent with individual and team perfrmances Assists with managing & develping player perfrmances in cmpetitin and training by: Creating an envirnment that supprts players t remain cnfident and fcused thrughut the training and cmpetitin.

Assistance with the cmpilatin f written player prfiles fr varius stages f the prgramme. Assistance with the integratin all aspects f sprts science int training prgrammes. Has a prcess t review caching and implement imprvements and changes when required. Cmpletin and submissin f reprts t the Zne HP Manager as and when required. 4. Cmmunicatin Ability t cmmunicate cnsistently, penly and hnestly in ne n ne situatins with players and team management within the team envirnment and als externally. Cmpetency 5. Building relatinships, Brand / Prfile Descriptrs Establishes and maintains psitive wrking relatinships with, and is accessible t the Nrthern Mystics Team Management & Supprt Services, Netball Nrthern Zne Bard, CEO & staff. Assist with ensuring that players and management understand the imprtance f the players being cnsidered rle mdels, and that the brand and prfile f the players, management, Nrthern Mystics team and Nrthern zne are prtrayed psitively in the media and publicly. Accessible t and acts in a prfessinal manner when wrking with the Media. Shares best practice caching experiences with ther Zne and Centre Caches as apprpriate r when required. Establishes and maintains prfessinal wrking relatinships with umpires

Schedule A Nrthern Mystics training schedule Nrthern Mystics team trainings are scheduled t start n December 2, 2013. Refer t training schedule. The Assistant Cach will als be expected t assist with small grup skill sessins, hwever there is flexibility n the timing f these, and will be scheduled after cnsultatin. The Assistant Cach will be required t facilitate 2-3 skills sessins per week and attend team training sessins which will be run by the Head Cach. Remuneratin and/r reimbursement f expenses This will be a part time paid psitin. Remuneratin will be discussed at the time f appintment Bna fide expenses incurred will be reimbursed (refer t the Nrthern Mystics Netball Plicy fr reimbursement f expenses) Prfessinal develpment: The successful applicant may als (n request) receive prfessinal develpment by way f prvisin f relevant curses/infrmatin sessins, as they relate t this psitin. Cach Appintment Criteria T be eligible fr appintment as the Assistant Cach f an ANZ Champinship team, Netball New Zealand & the NZ Netball Players Assciatin must be satisfied that the preferred candidate fulfils the fllwing criteria: Lives permanently in NZ and has resided in NZ fr a minimum f 2 years prir t applicatin Has cmmenced NNZ Perfrmance Cach qualificatin in the year f the applicatin Has experience caching netball at NZ Champinships; Age Grup Champinships; NZ/Australia elite dmestic level; r Internatinal level Has the ability t plan, implement and lead an effective high perfrmance prgramme that develps and supprts elite and develping elite players
