4 2. Executive summary 2.1 Key findings Staff and cmmunity have a high regard fr the schl and recgnise significant imprvements in achievement. Parents value the educatin that is prvided by the schl. There is a psitive tne within the schl, which enjys a prud reputatin in the lcal cmmunity. The schl has achieved high academic results in Natinal Assessment Prgram Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) cnsistently ver a perid f time. The schl places a clear fcus n the ability f teachers t implement and develp explicit instructin as a key pedaggy within the schl. The leadership team values the develpment f staff and the imprtance f creating cnsistent teaching practices acrss the schl t enhance further student develpment. The schl has embedded explicit instructin int the daily classrm teaching and teachers are cnfident in their discussin f hw t use this element f the pedaggical framewrk. Sme frmal bservatin and feedback prcesses have been undertaken by the leadership team t build staff capacity. Staff, parents and students cmment favurably abut the behaviur f students. The schl strngly encurages and celebrates students wh fllw the fur values f: Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Respnsible and D Yur Best. The schl has lw numbers f schl disciplinary absences and staff, parents and students generally reprt strng satisfactin with student behaviur. The schl intends t refine practices t further develp cnsistency in the standard f behaviur acrss the schl. The schl is practive in identifying and prviding interventin fr students that require additinal supprt. Teachers deliver lessns with the expectatin that all students, regardless f their abilities, can learn and imprve their skills and knwledge. Staff demnstrate great care twards all students and their academic success. There is evidence that the needs f students requiring additinal supprt are being well catered fr acrss the schl and within the classrm setting. Differentiatin ccurs thrugh a range f schl-wide prgrams. Teachers express a desire t further develp their skills in rder t cater fr the differentiatin f the full range f students within the classrm, particularly high achieving students. 4
5 The schl is cllecting a range f schl-wide data t identify and track student prgress. The leadership team and staff value the pprtunity t review a selectin f data t discuss individual student prgress and infrm future planning and interventin strategies fr students. The full and effective use f sme key psitins t drive schl imprvement and student utcmes is yet t be clearly articulated r linked t key initiatives. The schl has begun t develp a greater fcus n the use and cllectin f data and is establishing a data wall t track student prgress. Teachers understanding f hw t use data t infrm teaching and learning is develping acrss the schl. The schl is practive in its apprach t the wellbeing f staff and mindful f the expectatins f them. The schl has invested funding received in the develpment and supprt f the wellbeing f staff which is appreciated. Sme staff identify that cmmunicatin and recgnitin f their cntributin t imprve the schl is an area fr cntinual review. 5

Enhance student learning utcmes by building the cnsistency f teaching practice acrss the schl. Identify, share and implement high-yield teaching strategies that impact upn student learning. Review the use f financial, human and physical resurces within the schl t ensure efficient and effective alignment f resurces t the key imprvement areas. Enhance the culture f the schl as a learning cmmunity thrugh the establishment f caching and feedback prcesses and practices fr all staff. Build prcesses t ensure that student learning data is a basis fr cnversatins abut the learning f individuals and chrts f students, t infrm teaching practice acrss the schl and t enhance teachers data literacy. 6
