Executive summary 2.1 Key findings Psitive and caring relatinships exist between staff members, students and parents. High levels f mutual trust, cllabratin and supprt are apparent and prcesses exist t acknwledge students and staff members. Staff member mrale is high. Parents reprt that the leadership team and teachers are always willing t listen. Parental engagement is valued and the schl seeks t cnnect with parents in a range f ways. 4
5 The schl is cmmitted t Schl-wide Psitive Behaviur Supprt (SWPBS), t fster a culture that prmtes learning. Students are able t state the rules r values and can explain the whle-schl reward system. Thumbs up awards are highly regarded by students and classrm teachers supprt the explicit teaching f behaviural expectatins. The schl leadership team is united and cmmitted t imprving learning utcmes fr every student. The schl s EIA lists the Cre Fur pririties fr 2016 as reading, numeracy, staff capacity and transitins. Staff members are develping a cnsistent awareness f the EIA. Schl leaders and teachers are aware f the EIA pririties. Schl leaders recgnise the need t adjust the timelines fr the implementatin f numeracy initiatives. The leadership team views reliable and timely data as essential t the schl s imprvement agenda. There is a Schl Assessment and Mnitring Schedule. The schl is yet t develp an implementatin plan fr systematic cllectin, recrding, analysing and mderating f data t infrm decisin making at a class and whle-schl level. Teaching staff members cllect infrmatin regarding student achievement including standardised, diagnstic, frmative and summative evidence. The schl leadership team demnstrates a high level f awareness f effective pedaggical practices. A whle schl plan fr curriculum delivery is in place. The schl has develped eight levels in the curriculum. Teachers understanding f the extended general capabilities is develping. There are specific pedaggical practices in place, including Active Learning and Intensive Interactin, t deliver prgrams t students n High Individualised Curriculum Plans. Teachers and teacher aides are develping an understanding f these strategies. The schl s curriculum plan supprts all aspects f curriculum develpment and delivery. All students in Prep t Year 10 engage with the same units f wrk simultaneusly acrss all the key learning areas, differentiated t their individual curriculum level. Students acrss the schl access a range f specialist prgrams. The schl has implemented frmal prgrams t supprt student wellbeing and scial and emtinal develpment. Sme teachers feel they require mre time t effectively cver all areas f the curriculum in depth. 5

Effective transitin is a whle schl pririty. The schl s GR8 Start prgram prvides a structured transitin prgram fr new students enrlling at the schl. A prgram has been develped fr the senir students wh are preparing t leave schl. The schl engages the cmmunity in a range f celebratry functins thrughut the year. Cmmunity based learning activities ccur regularly as part f the schl curriculum. The schl has adpted and effectively implemented the Art and Science f Teaching (AST) as its pedaggical framewrk. The schl leadership team prvides regular feedback t teachers n their perfrmance. These feedback pprtunities are effective and valued by teachers. The schl has develped a pedaggy wheel that details the key pedaggical practices fr each f the curriculum levels and aligned with the nine design questins f AST. 2.2 Key imprvement strategies Develp the EIA t include a narrw and sharp set f cre pririties expressed in terms f imprvements in student utcmes and cmmunicate the EIA t parents, staff members and wider schl cmmunity.
