Race 3 MYPUNTER.COM HANDICAP - 2400 metres: La Belle Mome late withdrawal on veterinary advice at 8.55am. Heavenly Spell unruly in the barriers and underwent a veterinary examination behind the start and passed suitable to race.this resulted in a three minute delay to the start. Needs to gain further approval at a jump out prior to racing again. Winter Palace began awkwardly. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Self Sense shifted out to improve near the 1000m and brushed Two Hats. Excitable Package checked to avoid heels near the 900m as the tempo steadied. Saclaye passing the 200m had to be eased off the heels of Heavenly Spell which shifted out. Henning disappointing, rider Dwayne Dunn advised that the gelding failed to run out the increase in distance today and a subsequent veterinary examination revealed Henning to have a slower than normal recovery. Cheeky Rozay (NZ) upon straightening brushed on the hindquarters by Forgeress which shifted out slightly.
