Little Indian - tightened for room at the start by Braemar which shifted in and Snitzel Music which was taken out by Divine Chills. Divine Chills - got its head up when being restrained near the 800m as the tempo slowed. Snitzel Music - over-raced from the 800m and got its head up when being restrained as the tempo eased. Stratum Magic - rider Brian Higgins was of the view his mount would prefer a track with more give. White House Lady - apprentice Brooke Sweeney was notified to ensure that she does not reduce the pace too abruptly after finding the lead in the manner in which she did today. Race 5 - Clanbrooke Racing Handicap - 2100 metres: Reticent - began awkwardly, shifted out and made contact with Rangers Run. Red Velvet Swing - began awkwardly. Rubme - got its head up when being restrained passing the winning post on the first occasion. Brassy Belle (NZ) - rider Dwayne Dunn was of the view his mount did not run out a strong 2100m. Race 6 - Le Pine Funerals Handicap - 1400 metres: Prior to correct weight, connections of Labdien (third placegetter) and Fife (equal fourth placegetter) viewed the patrol film before deciding to not lodge an objection. Stewards were also satisfied there were insufficient grounds for any objections due to the interference being too close to the winning post.

Checked approaching the finishing line when tightened for room between Pria Eclipse and Gold Fontein (Ben Thompson) which, after initially shifting out away from She Brings Hope (R Maloney), was then taken out further near the line by that mare before being straightened by its rider. Stewards severely reprimanded Ben Thompson and Ryan Maloney for permitting their mounts to shift out when insufficiently clear approaching the finishing line. Tightened for room at the finishing line between Pria Eclipse which shifted out slightly and Labdien which shifted in slightly. Labdien - tightened for room at the start between Another Bender and Four Sisters which both shifted ground. St Swithuns - raced keenly through the middle stages. Darcys Law (NZ) - raced three wide without cover. Race 7 - Chefs Hat Handicap - 1200 metres: Kalashani Lad - late withdrawal at 1.47pm by order of Stewards due to an accident at the stable. Murphys Reward - severely hampered at the start when tightened for room between Electric Tribute which shifted in abruptly and Fire Agate. Steadied at the 600m to avoid the heels of Electric Tribute. Caprese - began awkwardly. Tanjier - slow to begin. Steadied at the 100m when crowded for room between Electric Tribute and Caprese, which had shifted out. When questioned if he had a prior opportunity to obtain a run between Caprese and Electric Tribute approaching and passing the 200m, rider Daniel Moor explained in his opinion his mount was never really travelling well enough to fully obtain the run and he was reluctant to take the gap as Caprese shifted out at this point to obtain a run to the outside of Fire Agate.
