BGC Clothing Order (Sholar Powell): Queensboro Shirt Company has now established an E-Store for ordering clothing with an embroidered Buccaneer Gun Club logo. In the past, we have placed an order once a year with the induction of new members. Effective this year, clothing orders can be placed by individual BGC members, at any time of the year. You will have the option of picking up your order at Queensboro s facility in Wilmington on Marstellar Street, or having the order shipped directly to you. Here s how it works: 1. You can access the E-Store at the following URL: www.bgc.qbstores.com 2. Click register, to set up your account, using your personal email address. 3. You then have access to order all items that Queensboro has for sale, with the BGC embroidered logo. 4. If you prefer to pick the items up at Queensboro and save the shipping charge, you can mark the block at the bottom of the Shipping Address. There is also a Comments block for any special instructions relative to pickup/delivery. Otherwise, you will pay shipping to the address you specify. 5. The E-Store is available year-round, so you are free to order at any time. There is no minimum number of items required; you may order as little or as much as you desire. Hopefully, this will give added flexibility to members on ordering any BGC clothing they need throughout the year BGC MONTHLY SKEET SHOOT It was the normal weather for a Feb. shoot at BGC, cold and windy. We had 12 shooters to brave the cold and wild targets to make for an interesting shoot. Come join us in March. FRIENDS OF NRA BANQUET COMING UP To all our Buccaneer Gun Club Members, The Wilmington Friends of NRA has planned its annual Fundraiser Banquet for 2012. The date has been set for Saturday, May 5th at 6:00 pm at the Coastline Convention Center at 501 Nutt Street, Wilmington. You are receiving this letter from me because members of the Buccaneer Gun Club have shown to be true friends of the NRA. In previous years you have helped make our event a success by attending the event and participating in our Sponsor Program. Buccaneer members are the lifeblood of our event. Without you, our event cannot be a success. Over the last 15 years or so, our local fundraiser has donated over $100,000 to local youth shooting programs such as the Cape Fear Council of the BSA and High School Junior ROTC units. Local Scout Troops, Four H clubs and law enforcement programs have also obtained grants from us. Now more than ever, our Right to Bear Arms is going to potentially see the worst legislative assault ever in the upcoming years, therefore we need to support youth shooting sports in every way possible. We invite you attend this years event and maybe even be a Sponsor at some level. Tickets are $30 per person or $50 per couple and are available from me at the email or phone number below or at the web link: http://www.friendsofnra.org/events.aspx?sid=34&sc=nc. Sponsor packages are available starting at $250 and go up to $600, $1250, $2500, and $7500. Each sponsor receives 2 meal tickets, a place on our Sponsor s Banner which is displayed throughout the year, and the correlating gifts for each level of sponsorship. You can go to www.friendsofnra.org for a list of this year s merchandise and gifts the various levels of sponsors will receive. Best of all, is that each sponsor is entered in a Sponsors Only drawing for numerous premium firearms. Hopefully, by now you are thinking, what else can I do? So here are some ways you can help: 1. Try to recruit more tickets sales and sponsors. Tell your friends and your like-minded business associates about the event and have them call me at 910-520-4822 or email me at dhc@ec.rr.com. 2. If your business has goods or services you would like to donate for our raffles or auctions, please let me or someone on the FONRA board know (Allen Piner, Gary Hamburg, Tami Hahn). All donors will receive tax receipts for their items. 3. If you ve got a gun you never use you can donate it to our event, you will also receive a taxdeductable receipt. 4. Finally, something new we have begun offering is a Corporate Table for $1,000 which offers eight dinner tickets, special seating, eight NRA dry boxes each containing five raffle tickets for each of your guests and a choice of a special firearm that the corporate donor may keep or could use for a mini-drawing at their table to determine the winner from among their guests. Many businesses enjoyed the camaraderie of a private table last year and several had each guest chip in to sponsor his or her place at the table for $125 and then gave them a shot at the gun at the end of the evening. It was a big hit! At any rate, there are lots of ways you can help, and we can t do it without you. Just let me know what you d like to do to be a part of this effort and we ll get you all lined up! Thanks! Ray Campbell, President BGC 910-520-4822, dhc@ec.rr.com 4

BUCCANEER RANGE REGULATOR GAZETTE Regulator Gazette February 1897 Headline: Attorney Holliday Just Can't Catch A Break Back Before Dick Holliday got disbarred as an attorney he arrived home late, after a very tough day trying to get a stay of execution. His last minute plea for clemency to the governor had failed and he was feeling worn out and depressed. As soon as he walked through the door at home, his wife started on him about, "What time of night to be getting home is this?...where have you been?...dinner is cold and I'm not reheating it". And on and on and on it went. Too shattered to play his usual role in this all too familiar ritual, he poured himself a shot of whiskey and headed off for a long hot soak in the bathtub, pursued by the predictable sarcastic remarks as he dragged himself up the stairs. While he was in the bath, the phone rang. The wife answered and was told that her husband's client, Ricky Wright, had been granted a stay of execution after all. Wright would not be hanged tonight. Finally realizing what a terrible day he must have had, she decided to go upstairs and give him the good news. As she opened the bathroom door, she was greeted by the sight of her husband, bent over naked, drying his legs and feet. 'They're not hanging Wright tonight,' she said. He whirled around and screamed, 'FOR THE LOVE OF GOD WOMAN, DON'T YOU EVER STOP?!'
