START OF UNAPPROVED MINUTES for the 10/12/16 Meeting. Board Members Present: Dick Brame, Jim Caison, Ray Campbell, Jeffrey DeSantis, Dave Ernst, Jeff Fountain, Tom Mix, Sholar Powell, Dave Ruehle and Charlie White. There were 3 members present. President Ray Campbell called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM Previous meeting minutes - approved as read. Treasurer s report - approved as read New Business: Board Member Nominations: 4 Board members term are set to expire this year: Jim Caison Ray Campbell Jeff DeSantis Tom Mix Jeff DeSantis declined to put his name up for re-election: The Board nominated the following individuals for the 4 seats: Jim Caison Ray Campbell Tom Mix Tom Morrison Ron Waidlich Raise Membership Cap: The Board voted 10-2 to raise the membership cap from 400 to 425 in 2017. Ranges on the New Property: The Board voted to proceed with developing the property on the west side of the Club into shooting ranges. Honorary Member: The Board voted to allow Victoria Stellato to become an honorary member. Victoria is an outstanding skeet shooter (has won many local, state and national titles) and would like to attend UNCW in the fall, but that is dependent on her having a place to practice. The Board voted unanimously to allow her to be an honorary member while she matriculates at UNCW. NRA Grant: Ray Campbell informed the Board that the Club received a $5000 NRA Grant to help pay for the 5 stand pavilion. Old Business: Skeet Kiosks: Jim Caison informed the Board the new skeet kiosk machines were being accepted well by the membership. However, due to an unforeseen glitch, new tablets would have to be purchased. The Board voted unanimously to approve that purchase. The current machines will be sold.. 5 Stand Pavilion: The new 5 stand pavilion is moving along nicely, should be done soon. Meeting was adjourned at 8:10 PM.. END OF UNAPPROVED MINUTES for the 10/12/16 Meeting. SKEET MATCH The October skeet match was cancelled due to Hurricane Matthew.

NOTICE TO SKEET, TRAP & 5 STAND SHOOTERS A computerized Skeet Account Logbook Kiosk is now installed in the clays pavilion office and ready for your use. The system is designed to be user friendly and instructions are posted on the wall above the Kiosk to get you started. Optional use of the manual logbooks will be discontinued effective 12/31/2016 barring any unforeseen difficulties. Should you experience a screen freeze, just step back for one (1) minute and the Kiosk will return to screen saver mode (BGC Logo moving about on a black screen). The Kiosk will then be reset and you can start over. Wi-Fi is also now available in the vicinity of the clays pavilion. There are two (2) levels of service that identify on computers and smart phones as BGC CLAYS 2.4 and/or BGC CLAYS 5G. The Password is BUCC0512 (case sensitive). Dave Ernst 39 B Class 1. Jason Harris 36 2. Alex Gonzalez 24 Trap Match We had a good turn out with 4 squads with 20 shooters. We had some good scores today with a great bunch of guys. Top score for the day went to Steve Hall with a 45 to take A Class. Richie Long tied with Jeff Cole with a 44 to take B Class. Bob MacFarland took C Class with a 37. Clark Marvin tied with Wayne Averilla with a 32 for D class. My many thanks to Don Mincher and Bob MacFarland for their help to make this a good day on the trap field. Without their help it would have been a long day. Action Pistol Match We had a perfect weather day to shoot the final Action Pistol match of the year. Had a good turnout and a couple new shooters to the match to boot. We welcomed new shooter Little John to the fold, and he said he will be back for more. His first shots were steady in the.8 range, could be one to watch with a little practice. Thanks for coming out, as always a great bunch to shoot with. At the end of our six round no X match Tall Pines Kid was ranked #1 with Chance Holden ranked #2, both with only 1 X. Bull #3 and Bell Swamp Charlie #4 followed with two Xs. In the 2-X Mag 7 Shoot-Off it was Bell Swamp and Bull going for the top spot. When the dust settled it was Bell Swamp Charlie taking the win with no Xs. The results of the match are as follows, with everyone's fastest shot of the day included.
