Held up from the 400m until shifting out to obtain clear running approaching the 200m. Ive Got Magic - had to be steadied at the 800m to avoid heels when the tempo eased. Evopex - laid inwards in the home straight. Rider Linda Meech reported her mount never felt comfortable in the run. Post race endoscopy detected a degree of mucus that may have affected the geldings racing performance and will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again. Race 2 - Tribute to Roger Booth Handicap - 1400 metres: Groovin (NZ) - late withdrawal on veterinary advice at 9.51am. Good Oh - late in the mounting yard and trainer Michael Kent was reminded of his obligation to have his horses in the mounting yard in a timely manner. Began awkwardly and was slow into stride. Hung inwards in the home straight which disadvantaged rider Luke Nolen in riding the filly out. Ocean Magic - late in the mounting yard and trainer Shane Nichols was reminded of his obligation to have his horses in the mounting yard in a timely manner. No Tan Tat - late in the mounting yard and trainer Greg Eurell was reminded of his obligation to have his horses in the mounting yard in a timely manner. Checked to avoid the heels of Good Oh which was hanging in passing the 200m.

Lady Skills - began awkwardly. Apprentice Ben Thompson reported that the filly peaked on its run and would take benefit from todays race. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Lady Dee Dee - slow to begin. Over-raced through the middle stages. Miss Magda - over-raced in the early and middle stages. When questioned regarding the improved performance, trainer Tom Hughes explained that at its recent runs the filly has been a victim of circumstances and its last start at Sandown on July 5 th Miss Magda was only beaten 5.1 lengths and he was expecting a forward showing today. Bellaria (NZ) - taken wide upon straightening by Tres which shifted out. Bella Mia - brushed at the 400m by Good Oh which shifted out to obtain clear running, then laid out away from Good Oh. Race 3 - Chandler Macleod Handicap - 1400 metres: Uncanny Effort - late into the mounting yard and trainer Colin Little was reminded of his obligation to have his horses in the mounting yard in a timely manner. After beginning awkwardly was tightened for room between Vega De Lago and Blue Tycoon, which was being taken out. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have the thumps. Blue Tycoon - hampered at the start between Uncanny Effort, which began awkwardly, and Dexterous which was taken out by Sea The Sparkle (GB). Checked near the 200m when tightened for room between Hunting Hill and Dexterous, which was taken out by So Does He (Brandon Stockdale) which shifted out away from Uncanny Effort (Luke Nolen), after being initially taken out by that gelding. Luke Nolen was reprimanded and Brandon Stockdale was severely reprimanded for failing to straighten their respective mounts sooner than they did on this occasion. Apprentice Beau Mertens stated it was the geldings first attempt at this distance and did not run out a strong 1400m. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Vega De Lago - began awkwardly. Alward - began awkwardly and was slow into stride. Fabulonh - raced keenly through the middle stages when leading. Apprentice Georgina Cartwright stated it wasnt her intention to lead however her mount raced fresh and for this reason she settled further forward than intended. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off hind leg and will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again. So Does He - raced three wide without cover. Apprentice Brandon Stockdale explained he was instructed to ride the gelding fifth or sixth with cover however was unable to do so and for his reason he raced wide without cover. Hunting Hill - raced wide rounding the home turn.

Dexterous - accidentally struck over the nose by the whip of Brandon Stockdale (So Does He) approaching the 200m. The track was upgraded from Soft 6 to Soft 5 at 2.07pm after the running of this race. Race 4 - Heritage Finance Handicap - 2100 metres: Royal Butterfly - over-raced in the early stages due to the slow tempo. Raced three wide without cover from the 1100m. Rider Anthony Darmanin was notified to ride all of his mounts out hands and heels to the end of the race. Roldana (NZ) - over-raced in the early stages due to the slow tempo. Street Spun - raced three wide without cover until the 1200m. Birds Of Tokyo - hung inwards in the straight. Race 5 - Ladbrokes up for the Challenge Handicap - 2100 metres: Yogi (NZ) - slow to begin. Laid inwards in the home straight. Craig Williams was satisfied with the performance however was of the view the gelding would be better suited on a bigger track. Thunder Connection (NZ) - apprentice Ben Allen advised that his mount was not suited by todays soft track conditions. Xebec (USA) - rider Craig Newitt explained that the gelding failed to travel throughout the event and was not suited by todays soft track conditions. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities other than the gelding had track dirt in its trachea. The Willybe (NZ) - a post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the off hind leg and will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again. Race 6 - Clanbrooke Racing Handicap - 1200 metres: Shockaholic - slow to begin. Aurelius Hero - tightened for room at the start by Chavuma which began awkwardly. Atunnah Courage - raced wide without cover. Praesentia - held up for clear running from the 400m until shifting out near the 300m.

Hes A Moral - steadied at the 350m when tightened for room between Ballet Master (NZ) and Parwan Prince, which was taken in by Amber Cavalier which in turn shifted in away from Wall Street Wolf which had also shifted in. Rider Craig Williams stated his mount failed to travel throughout and was disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities and a swab sample was taken for analysis. Sensation Ally - weakened from the 300m; apprentice Boris Thornton felt flat throughout and may not have backed up from last weeks Sandown meeting. Jye McNeil (Simple Solution) - pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR137(a), the carelessness being that approaching the 800m he permitted his mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear of Gigi Girl resulting in Gigi Girl being taken in and taking the running of Eclat resulting in Eclat having to be checked. Jye McNeil had his licence to ride in races suspended for a period to commence at midnight July 15 th and to expire at midnight July 23 rd, a total of eight race meetings (two metropolitan, six provincial). In assessing penalty Stewards took into account his guilty plea and good recent record and that the carelessness was in the low range. Race 8 - The Cove Handicap - 1600 metres: Sweet Melody (NZ) - late withdrawal on veterinary advice at 2.20pm when found to have a swollen off foreleg after arriving on course. Riyadh (NZ) - after playing up in the float en route to the course, underwent a veterinary examination and was subsequently a late withdrawal on veterinary advice at 2.45pm. Electric Fusion - began awkwardly. Steadied in across the heels of Majestic Duke approaching the 200m. Galaxy Raider - began awkwardly. When questioned, rider Craig Williams explained that Galaxy Raider is a horse that prefers to be held up and then allowed to sprint, he added that he was reluctant to shift his mount to the outside sooner than he did on this occasion to take a

run around the field, as the gelding is not suited to this style of racing. He further explained that over the concluding stages the gelding had come to the end of its run and was being held comfortably on the line. Diamond Geyser (IRE) - slow to begin. Race 3 - Spicer Thoroughbreds Handicap - 1400 metres: Zagaya - trainer Steven Pateman advised that the gelding pulled up okay however may have been a bit flat after trying hard at its previous start (nine days earlier) and will now be spelled. Race 5 - Clanbrooke Racing Handicap - 2100 metres: Brassy Belle (NZ) - the Waller stable advised that the mare pulled up fine. Supreme Harmony (NZ) - trainer Archie Alexander advised that the gelding trotted up sound, scoped okay and will be continuing on. Race 7 - Chefs Hat Handicap - 1200 metres: Tango Rock - trainer Michael Kent advised that the gelding was disadvantages by its barrier, pulled up fine and is continuing on with its preparation.
