New Hotel: Holiday Inn Express (740) 335-9310 (across from the Fairgounds on Rte 62) The following rules apply : 1. The Open Breeding Shows are sanctioned by the ABGA and their rules shall govern. In case of a discrepancy, or for rules not adequately covered, the show committee and/ or judge s decision is final. 2. A Junior must be under the age of 19 on January 1st of the current year. 3. The breeding classes will use the birth dates, as listed on the registration papers, to determine the class division. The show date will be the base date for computing ages. 4. Original registration certificates are required, though a copy of a registration application, stamped with the date received by one of the listed associations, can be accepted for kids less than 3 months of age. Animals must be registered in the name of the exhibitor. 5. All animals must be in place and registration papers checked in with the show secretary by 8 AM the day of the show. 6. If entries are received on or before May 2, 2015, then the entry fee is $10.00 per head for Open Breeding and Wether Sires and Dams. If received after May 2, 2015, then the entry fee is $15.00 per head. Sorry, no refunds. There will be a service charge for NSF checks. 7. All animals must be healthy. No visible signs of abscesses or other contagious diseases will be allowed. Any unhealthy or questionable animals will be checked by the veterinarian at the owner s expense.

8. All out of state animals must have health papers and proper tests required by the state of Ohio. Health papers must be dated within 30 days of the show. All out of state breeding goat exhibitors must be at the fairgrounds at 11 AM on the day of the show with health papers checked in or they will not be permitted to show and forfeit all entry fees. No health papers are required for Ohio goats. 9. All goats must comply with the Ohio scrapie rules. Ohio State Vet: 614-469- 5602. 10. The Fayette County Meat Goat Association or the Fayette County Agriculture Society will not be held responsible for loss, damages, or accidents. Any person or family not acting in an honorable manner will be required to leave immediately and will not be allowed to return for the remainder of the show. There will be no alcohol or drugs allowed on the fairgrounds. 11. Wethers will be weighed in at check-in time and divided into weight classes. 12. Pay outs in the Wether Show will be at least 75% of the wether entry fees. 13. Wethers must still have their milk teeth. 14. Wethers and Wether Sires & Dams must be slick shorn to an even length from the knees and hocks up excluding the head and tail switch. No blocking will be permitted and will be grounds for refused entry into the ring. 15. Weigh-In for Wethers and Wether Sires & Dams will take place from 7am to 8:30 am.

Open Wether Sires and Dams 1. Open to all exhibitors. 2. No registration papers are required for the wether sire and dam classes. 3. There will be two divisions; bucks and does. 4. All entries must be slick shorn to 3/8 inch or less (equivalent to Lister Cover Cote blade). 5. All entries must be presented to the official weigh in. Those with all of their kid teeth will be weighed and split into classes. Those that have lost any kid teeth will show in the Sr. class. 6. Premiums determined by number of entries. 7. Wether Sires & Dams must be slick shorn to an even length from the knees and hocks up excluding the head and tail switch. No blocking will be permitted and will be grounds for refused entry into the ring. 8. Weigh-In for Wether Sires & Dams will take place from 7am to 8:30 am. 9. This is not an ABGA sanctioned show. Therefore it is up to the judge to determine his own criteria for sound mouths, teats, testicles, and pigment. 10. This show is being provided as an opportunity for those involved in the wether business to showcase those animals responsible for creating the next generation of wethers and the entries will be evaluated with this sole purpose in mind.
