Defining Develpment Develpment is abut a systematic apprach t increasing the capacity r ability f individuals and rganisatins t perfrm cre functins mre effectively. The BWF develpment prgrammes therefre aim t develp individual ptential and build systems, structures and pathways t enhance individual grwth and develpment. Develpment prjects and activities can fcus n mre mre players, mre caches, mre turnaments, mre classifiers, mre technical fficials, mre administratrs and mre turnament rganisers. Develpment in any natinal badmintn system will wrk at different levels with a different emphasis n the dimensins f mre and better. Key Result Areas (KRAs) Pre-plan Psitin In Octber 2014, the IPC annunced that badmintn was included as ne f the sprts fr the Tky 2020 Paralympic Games. This annuncement means there is a mre cmplete athlete pathway fr para-badmintn players. The inclusin f badmintn in the Paralympic Sprts Prgramme shuld see greater recgnitin f, and participatin in, badmintn fr athletes with a physical impairment. It shuld als see greater investment frm natinal bdies t identify and develp talent twards the Tky 2020 Paralympic Games. BWF currently has 23 f its Members wh take respnsibility fr para-badmintn and it wrks with 9 Natinal Paralympic Cmmittees and 9 rganisatins that crdinate para-badmintn in their natinal territries. The perid 2015 2020 will be critical fr the sprt. The numbers f athletes the sprt is allcated will nly be knwn in 2017, fllwing the evaluatin fr the Ri 2016 Paralympic Games Sprts Prgramme.
