Approaching the 200m was inconvenienced when Respun shifted out under pressure. Respun - began awkwardly. San Vincenzo - began awkwardly. Over-raced in the middle stages. Performed below market expectations; rider Patrick Moloney stated he was instructed to gain cover on the colt as it had over-raced at its first two starts however after beginning awkwardly settled further back than anticipated and when placed under pressure failed to respond to his riding. His comments were noted. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Johnnies Cash - bumped on jumping by Bellzig which began awkwardly and shifted out. Bellzig - began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped Johnnies Cash. Charles Filou (NZ) - began awkwardly. Savaju (NZ) - raced keenly in the early stages. Raced greenly under pressure in the home straight. Improved performance; trainer Mr Shaun Dwyer explained that the filly had benefited and matured from being spelled after its last start. Dinner Lake - over the concluding stages was brushed and became unbalanced by Zamboanga which was laying out under pressure. Zamboanga - lost its off fore bar plate in running. Race 2 - Jayco Maiden Plate - 1100 metres: Emsgem - began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped Havran. Laid out under pressure in the home straight. Havran - bumped at the start. Rider John Allen could offer no explanation for the performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities and a swab sample was taken for analysis. Big John Cannon - began awkwardly. First start, performed below market expectations. A post race veterinary examination revealed the colt to have a respiratory abnormality and will require an endoscopic examination and veterinary clearance prior to racing again. Secret Obsession - raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. Special Feeling - raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. Stormus - raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. Magic Force - rider Linda Meech stated after being caught wide from the outside gate, she elected to gain a position close to the rail and got further back than anticipated. Race 3 - bet365 Maiden Plate - 1600 metres: Kaptive Hero - slow to begin. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Lost its off hind plate in running. Butler Butler - raced wide without cover in the early stages before being striding forward to obtain the lead near the 800m. Rider Patrick Moloney stated his mount had to work hard in the early stages to obtain the lead and as a result tired over the concluding stages. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Wine - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Approaching the 600m was bumped by Kaptive Hero, which attempted to shift out to improve. Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race. Rider Craig Williams reported his mount didnt handle todays heavy track conditions. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Pathesia (NZ) - for a short distance prior to the home turn was unable to obtain clear running. Sherpa Trail - hung in under pressure over the concluding stages. Rider Ryan Maloney reported his mount over-raced in the early stages which was detrimental to its chances today. New Indian Rupee - rider Craig Newitt explained the gelding began well and as a result settled in a more forward position today. Grandes Oreilles - lost its near fore plate in running. Mutineer - rider Linda Meech reported her mount didnt handle todays heavy track conditions. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Dornier - when questioned regarding the improved performance today, trainer Mr John Moloney explained that in his opinion the gelding, which was having its third race start, had benefited from race experience and had been working well and he had expected a forward showing today. It was also noted its previous two starts had been on synthetic surfaces. Northern Captain - a post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have the thumps. Race 4 - Bendigo Property Services BM70 Handicap - 1000 metres: Run Charlie Run - began awkwardly and shortly after was hampered and lost ground when Scuzi shifted out and away from Dalrada. Raced wide without cover. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Viva La Dance - knuckled on leaving the gates. Scuzi - hung inwards in the straight. Race 5 - Schweppes Australia BM64 Handicap - 1100 metres: Killy Cat - became unbalanced when bumped heavily on jumping between Reward With Return and Providential both of which shifted ground. Reward With Return - began awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with Killy Cat. Laid inwards under pressure in the home straight. Providential - bumped on jumping with Killy Cat. Over-raced in the early stages.

Dubai King - began awkwardly, got its head up and lost ground. Surefire Lass - knuckled on jumping and lost ground. Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Baby Zara - over-raced in the early stages. Wanted To Sing - performed below market expectations; rider Craig Williams explained his mount didnt handle todays heavy track conditions and pulled up in a normal manner. Race 6 - Jayco Bendigo Cup Class 1 Handicap - 1600 metres: All About Gold - stood flat footed and lost considerable ground (three lengths). Passing the 1000m had to be steadied when tightened for room between Welcome Stryker and Zutero (GB) (Jessica Eaton) which shifted in; Jessica Eaton was severely reprimanded and notified to exercise more care when in similar circumstances in future. Rider Jarrod Todd could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance and added it pulled up in a normal manner. Pop Queen - bumped Law Major (IRE) on jumping away. Beaten favourite; a post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Law Major (IRE) - bumped Pop Queen on jumping away. Welcome Stryker - slow to begin. Over-raced in the early and middle stages and passing the 1000m became unbalanced when being restrained. Hung in under pressure in the straight. Rider Patrick Holmes was notified to ensure he rides all of his mounts out hands and heels to the finish. Zutero (GB) - passing the 1000m clipped the heels of Soul Glo and shifted out abruptly before then shifting back in. Assertive Star - rider Steven Arnold stated that after beginning well, he found himself further forward than anticipated. Race 7 - Bendigo Eye Clinic BM64 Handicap - 1500 metres: Riverina Bella - began awkwardly and lost considerable ground. Wichita Woman - slow to begin. Rider Patrick Moloney explained his mount did not handle todays heavy track conditions. A post race veterinary examination revealed coughing and a slow recovery and the mare will require an endoscopic examination and veterinary clearance prior to racing again. Sagabella - slow to begin. Over-raced badly in the early and middle stages. St Swithuns - laid in under pressure in the home straight.

Fiona Crystal - laid out under pressure in the early part of the home straight. Roan Cheval (NZ) - rider Damian Lane stated his mount over-raced in the early and middle stages despite his efforts to restrain it and this was detrimental to its chances today. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Caves - rider Kassie Furness was severely reprimanded for using her whip eight times prior to the 100m. Race 8 - Beach Party Raceday 15 October BM64-1400 metres: Sterno - connections advised would be ridden more forward if it begins well; settled just behind the leaders. Rider Regan Bayliss stated his mount didnt handle todays heavy track conditions. Desert Samurai - slow to begin. Quedoutes - slow to begin. Prestbury Park (NZ) - failed to maintain contact with the field in the early stages despite the efforts of its rider. Rushmore - raced wide without cover. Light n Fire - held up from the 500m until approaching the 300m. Better Strike - near the 300m shifted in towards the heels of Rushmore which shifted out slightly and as a result lost momentum and had to be straightened and shifted to the outside of Rushmore to improve, laid in under pressure for the remainder of the race. Paterangi - rider Patrick Moloney stated his mount didnt handle todays heavy track conditions. Yenhaab (IRE) - rider Stephen Brown was severely reprimanded for using his whip six times prior to the 100m. Danes Edge - rider Chris Brown was reprimanded for using his whip six times prior to the 100m. Baroota (NZ) - rider Jamie Mott said his mount was under pressure from the 700m and he elected to ease it down over the final 200m as something felt amiss.
