DATE AND PLACE OF COMPETITION The competition at the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 Will take place from JULY 26 to AUGUST 2 in the city of Cali Women will compete during the first five days and men afterwards. COMPETITION FORMAT Senior Championship: The teams will be made up of 6 men and 6 women and each Federation may enter 1 team per gender Individual Event: 6 games per competitor Doubles Event:6 games per competitor Trios Event: 6 games per competitor Teams Event: 6 games per competitor Masters Final Event where the top 16 athletes of the all event, per gender, will qualify. This final consists of four stages where they will play direct competitions, one against one to the best of three games all starting from zero. If one bowler wins the first two games, the third game is not necessary. The bowlers will keep their position of entry to the masters up to the final. In each event the best positioned bowler chooses if he/she wishes to start the first game in the even or the odd track, for the second game the order is inverted and if a third game is necessary rotation will continue. 13

STAGE 1: The 16 classified bowlers will compete in the following order: classified #1 will face #16, #2 will face #15 and so on. STAGE 2: The winners of the 8 competitions of the first stage will play using the same system; the best positioned bowler will face the one in the lowest position and so on. The first four scores will qualify for the semifinal. STAGE 3, SEMIFINALS: The winners of the 4 competitions of the second stage will play the semifinal using the same system, the best positioned bowler will face the one in the lowest position and so on. The winners will qualify for the final. 14 STAGE 4: The winners of the two previous matches will face each other using the same system. The winner will receive the Gold Medal and the other one the Silver Medal. Those who did not qualify for the final will receive bronze medal. The current rules of the World (International Federation) will serve as tie breakers.

ENTRIES All countries shall send their Sports Entry Applications or entry requests through the respective NOC in the official forms the Organizing Committee will send in due time, at the latest at 24:00 hours (Colombian time) on February 20th, 2018. They must indicate in the form the individuals and team events in which they will participate in the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018. (The forms that will be published in the official WEB site Barranquilla 2018 ). Those Associated Members recognized by the Pan-American Confederation of this sport and by CACSO may also be allowed to participate. ENTRY BY NUMBER 16 The Entry by Number forms (indicating the number of participants in each individual event and per team) shall be sent to the Organizing Committee of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 at the latest before midnight (Barranquilla, Colombia s time) of April 20th, 2018 according with CACSO s Regulation, Chapter VIII. ENTRY BY NAME For each eligible athlete to participate in the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018, it is necessary to fill out an entry by name form that should be contemplated by NOCs and will be received by the Organizing Committee before midnight (Barranquilla, Colombia s time) of Wednesday, June 20th, 2018 according with CACSO s Regulation, Chapter VIII. Each NOC shall send the entry by number and entry by name forms in the official forms provided by the Organizing Committee, six months prior to the Games.If you have any doubt or for clarification purposes, the Organizing Committee has this e-mail address at your disposal: inscripciones@barranquilla2018.com

MINIMUM PARTICIPATION In order for an event to be considered official, five (5) representations of equal number of National Olympic Committees shall participate. In case, after the celebration of the Technical Meeting, one or several representations are unable to participate due to force majeure (confirmed by CACSO), the event will be held with the minimum of four (4) representations of equal number of National Olympic Committees. GENERAL RULES The competitions of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games Barranquilla 2018 shall be held in accordance with CACSO Statute and the Rules of the corresponding International Federation in force during the Games. Cases not provided in the regulations mentioned above shall be resolved as follows: A. Cases of general nature shall be resolved in accordance with CACSO Statute and with the Rules of the Central American and Caribbean Games. B. Cases of technical nature shall be resolved in accordance with the procedures of the Pan-American Confederation or the Continental Organism. 17

UNIFORMS AND SPORT EQUIPMENT The Rules of the Central American and Caribbean Games and of the corresponding International Federation shall be followed, and also the Rule 51 of COI, according to the regulations established for the NOCs with respect to Use of Registered Trade Marks of the Manufacturers. TRAINING FACILITIES Access shall be allowed only to accredited team members. Public shall not be allowed to enter. The equipment shall follow the requirements of the corresponding International Federation. PARTICIPATION 18 Only the NOCs recognized by CACSO, with National Federations that are members of the World (WB) can enter athletes to the competition of the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games, Barranquilla 2018. If recognized by CON- CECABOL, Associated members recognized by CACSO may also be allowed to participate. MAXIMUM NUMBER OF COMPETITORS According to the quota established by CACSO the competition shall have a maximum of one hundred and twenty (120) athletes, sixty (60) women and sixty (60) men. Each NOC may enter a maximum of twelve (12) bowlers, six (6) women and six (6) men, as long as they meet the qualifying criteria for the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games, Barranquilla 2018. The maximum participation per country per event is as follows: - Individual event - Doubles event - Trios event - Quintets event (teams) - Masters final

6 men s and 6 women s 3 teams by gender in doubles 2 trios by gender 1 quintet by gender The top 16 of the All Event Individual resulting in the addition of all events in the competition qualify for the Maters Final. TECHNICAL MEETING The Technical Meeting will take place on Saturday, July 25 at 8:00 a.m. at La Bolera (Cali). Up to two representatives of each NOC may attend this Technical Meeting. The invitation card for the Technical Meeting will be available for the Heads of Team, at the Sports Information Center of the Central American and Caribbean Village upon their arrival. The Technical Delegate and the Organizing Committee s Competition Manager for will preside the meeting, which shall take place in Spanish with simultaneous translation to English. 19

OFFICIAL PRACTICES The official practices will take place on Monday, July 23rd, 2018 for women s and on Saturday, July 28th, 2018 for men s, at a time to be confirmed. OFICIALES TÉCNICOS The National Judges shall be designated by the Colombian Federation while the International Judges will be chosen by the President of the Confederation in agreement with the Technical Delegate, from among a list of existing judges. PROTESTS AND APPEALS 20 All appeals of the decisions of the Administrative Committee must be made in writing to the Referee or to the CON- CECABOL President. Each appeal must be specific and shall be accompanied by US$200.00. The jury of appeals will have the authorization to call for all the involved persons on the incident.

SPORT EQUIPMENT The CONCECABOL regulation in its article 4.11.3 Ball Registration, states the following: A. Each bowler may register a maximum of 6 balls during the Event. B. Immediately after the official practice (not more than an hour after the last practice session) the balls to be used during the competition shall be registered. C. Up to a maximum of 2 balls may be added to the list of registered balls by a bowler (maximum of 6) throughout the Event. D. Any addition of balls to the list of registered balls of a bowler must be done at the latest 1 hour before the start of the session in which the ball(s) will be used. E. The replacement of a ball during the competition is allowed, according to international regulation. 21

QUALIFICATION FOR LIMA 2019 The discipline will grant four (4) slots in both Women s and Men s for the Pan-American Games of Lima 2019 according to the following: In all Qualifying Events the NUMBER OF ACCUMULATED PINS IN EVERY EVENT PART OF THE RANKING of the TWO BEST BOWLERS from each Country, in the respective gender, will be taken into consideration. MEDAL CEREMONIES Medal ceremonies will take place according to CACSO Regulations, Chapter XIII. INDIVIDUAL EVENTS: First place: Gold medal and diploma Second place: Silver medal and diploma Third place: Bronze medal and diploma 22 INDIVIDUAL EVENTS: First place: A diploma for the team and a gold medal and diploma for each athlete. Second place: a diploma for the team and a silver medal and diploma for each athlete. Third place: a diploma for the equipment and a bronze medal and diploma for each athlete. DOPING CONTROL The doping control will be made according to the regulations of CACSO Medical Commission, the Rules of the corresponding International Federation and the standards and the 2018 version of the World Anti-doping Program WADA will be followed. COMPETITION VENUE The competition will take place at the Moñona Alley of Titos Bolos shopping center in the city of Barranquilla.
