Introduction. Good evening and welcome to the Uddingston & District Homing Club s Annual Presentation of Trophy s And Prizes For 2014 Season. First of all, again I d like to thank the members, families and their friends for their continued support at this evening s presentation. I would like to start the evening by introducing the top table. Our principle guests for the evening are Dougie Spittal and his partner Anne. Our Vice President David McCaig. There will be raffles going round, excellent prizes as we can see. We will have a short break mid-evening to draw the raffles. The Second Presentation is to Jim Wood Jim wins The Tommy Thomson Memorial Trophy for the first club bird timed in The Scottish National Flying Club Gold Cup Race Alencon. The Third Presentation is to Michael Slater Michael wins the Smythe Trophy for winning 1 st Club Middleton on the 30 th August. The Forth Presentation is to Jim Cullen Jim wins the The TFL Trophy for the 1 st yearling timed in the Warwick race. The Fifth Presentation is to Jim Cameron Jim had a good season winning:
The R Hotchkiss Memorial Shield for the best average Warwick, Upper Heyford and Bedhampton old birds and Ingleton / Middleton young birds. The Margelda Trophy for the best average Middleton and Uttoxeter young birds. The Blue Circle Shield for winning 1st Club Uttoxeter on the 6 th September. The Young Bird Cup for the best average over all the young bird races. The Mrs C Taylor Memorial Shield for being runner up to the combined average winner. The Sixth Presentation is to McCormick & Martin Hughes our Club Champions for 2014.
Mick & Martin has had a fantastic season winning a total of eighteen trophies: The Barr Trophy for the best average over the first five races flown. The Milnwood Trophy for 1 st club Ingleton young birds 25th August. The Hyslop Trophy for the best average over the first Two old and Two young bird races flown. The Sew Quick Trophy for the best average over first four young bird races flown. The Stag Five Trophy for the best average over the first five young bird races flown. The Jubilee Shield for the most points won in all federation races. TheTunnock Cup. The Co-op Cup. The O Clark Memorial Shield. All for 1 st Club Ypres. The Torry Gillick Trophy for 1 st club Warwick. The Taylor Trophy for the best average, Warwick, Upper Heyford & Bedhampton. The J Teeven Memorial Trophy for the best average Upper Heyford & Bedhampton

The Belt Up Trophy for the best average Bedhampton & Ypres old birds & Middleton & Uttoxeter young birds. The A Dalgleish Trophy for the best average all inland federation old bird races. The Old Bird Cup for the best average all federation old bird races. The Phil Smith Combined Average Trophy for the best club average over all federation races. The Club Champion for Season 2014 Mick McCormick & Martin Hughes The Federation Achievements in 2014 within the Club.
94 Lanarkshire Federation cards were won by the Uddingston Club members. Including: Twice x first open, once x 2 nd open & once x3rd open, Twice 4th open Twice x5th open Lanarkshire Federation. 4 x 1 st, sect 3 x 2 nd sect 5x3rd sect, 2x4th sect, 5x5th centre section. Scottish National Flying Club Achievements within The Club. This year the members of Uddingston club had good season competing in the Scottish National Flying Club won a total of 12 West Section Diplomas, including 2 nd section 10 th open for Davie and Lynsey Young. Somewhat down compared to the 30 West Section diplomas in 2013. ---------------------------------------------------------
