Special Thanks to Southern Tennis Association, Adult League Committee Members, and Training Representatives Most people join the USTA in order to play league tennis. The unsung heroes in league tennis are our Local League Coordinators, State League Coordinators, Adult League Committee Members, and Southern Tennis Association, which provides extensive training and resources. We never say Thank You enough to these people, who make tennis possible for so many others. During September, 9 Tennesseeans traveled to Atlanta for regional training hosted by Southern. These included: Elizabeth Walker (Nashville LLC and ALC Chair), Cheryl Thompson and Nancy Vineyard (Knoxville LLCs), Sherrie Cox (Memphis LLC), David Snyder (Chattanooga LLC), Joan Hagood (META Representative), Joan Arney (M boro LLC), and Charla Patrick and Chris Bodry (State League Coordinators). Thanks for Your Time and Devotion to Adult League Tennis! Thanks, Southern, for the training! Meet Peter Lebedevs Director of ATP/WTA Event Racquet Club Memphis Pro Profile Peter, originally from Perth, Australia played college tennis at the University of Memphis. He began working for the Racquet Club of Memphis after graduation and really never left! Peter coached more than 50 players who received college scholarships, numerous players who had top Sectional rankings, and dozens of USTA league teams. His coaching memories include Southern 12s Zonals, Boys 18s Intersectionals, and USTA Challenge Cup. Peter is a model for volunteerism, serving on the TTA, Southern, and USTA Junior Competition Committees. Peter has touched countless lives through tennis as a pro, teacher, endorser, and friend.
