Meeting Minutes taken by Emma Price. Meeting started 7.15pm NBNA Chairman Pippa Hamer welcomed everyone to the NBNA AGM. All apologises were accepted. PH then proceeded with the house keeping rules within the meeting area. 1. Introduction to Bucks NDO Emma Toft. Emma Toft started as Buckinghamshire NDO one year ago. Emma s role is to work on the development of netball with running sessions for B2N, Netball Now & High Five sessions. Aim is to: - Working with Coaches & Umpires - Set up more Netball opportunities - Increase the amount of junior / youth netball players - Assist coaches looking for more coaching opportunities, (Some Coaches will be paid) - Help and support set up of Junior / Youth Netball Teams There is funding available to assist with setting up new junior / youth teams therefore if you are interested please contact Emma. Everyone involved with any teams that have participants up until 18 Years old require a DBS check and these documents can be verified by Emma Toft. Emma thanked all volunteers, officials and everyone that continues to grow the sport.
Everyone has a potential to be a coach, there are different courses Level 1 for beginners and Level 2 which will allow you to run your own sessions. Anyone interested in becoming a coach or need some help to develop netball please contact Emma Toft directly. 2. Chairman s Report PH confirmed what has been happening with the North Bucks Netball Association during the past year: - All roles of the committee filled this year with active members. - NBNA have maintained our focus to deliver the four year Plan, and each area is progressing towards this. - Efforts to reduce account balance have been effective and will progress at a steady rate. - Being chairman of North Bucks has been a great opportunity to develop netball in the North Bucks area but as of 21 st July 2014 Pippa Harmer will be standing down as chairman of the committee. - PH is confident that the current committee can continue its work and be successful. Position of chairman to be discussed in any other business. 2. Treasurers Report CH confirmed that North Bucks has a healthy bank balance with committed monies also showing. Please see attachment for break down on where monies have been spent and committed. 3. Umpiring Secretary Report Carolyn Davies joined the North Bucks Committee in July 2013 as Umpiring Secretary. CD confirmed the following progress within North Bucks has been made with the following courses which have been held over the past year or planned for the future: - 3 C Award courses have been completed over the last year and they have proven to be very popular with a good number of participants on each session - C award course set for 31 st August 2014 - Youth Workshops across North Bucks have been successful with assistance being to clubs within the area. - 6 beginner, 8 C award umpires qualified - 2 passed B award paper. - Further tests have been planned over the summer. - Number of umpires on Regional Approved Umpiring list.
- Mentoring has continued through local leagues with the support from Audrey Castle and Claire Hawkes. CD congratulated all umpires which have been on courses and qualified over the past year. Anyone interested with assistance with the Youth Workshops is to contact Carolyn Davies directly for guidance. 4. Coaching Secretary Report Sachel Grant is Coaching Secretary for the North Bucks Committee SG confirmed what has been progressed over the last year for North Bucks Coaching : - Supported 8 Coaches on level 1, 2 and Level 2 conversion. - Supported coaches to attended national Making the Game live - There is a number of talented coaches working in schools, clubs, performance academies, National club and school finals, South and East regional leagues, national performance league and national superleague. SG confirmed the aim for North Bucks Coaching is to: - Work towards completing next stage of four year plan. - To continue supporting coaches from North Bucks. SG also congratulated all coaches which have qualified over the last year and should you be interested or would like support please contact SG directly. 5. Talent Coordinator Report Nicola Partridge is the Talent Coordinator for North Bucks Committee. NP confirmed the following has progressed over the last year - 39 players were selected to the academies in July 2013-22 Athletes made it through to the end of the season, - Athletes either left part way through the season, never started after trials or left after nonselection for regional festival. - Next season there will be a cut of athletes part way through the season if they are not meeting the expectations of a performance athlete in our academies. - North Bucks have a new contract with England Netball for the 2014/15 season a new corporate image for the academies across the country will mean that coaches will be provided with England Academies kit and each girl will have their own Netball First ( New name for the England Performance Pathway). - This year North Bucks had a young county squad, with only 1 player being 16 years old. - The satellite squad will most probably be very young next year with athletes at 12 and 13
years old and half of the county academy will be in year 11 (15/16 years olds). This means that the squads are now balanced as England Netball would prefer it with 12-14 year olds (year 7/8) in the Satellite Academy and 14-16 year olds (Year 10/11) in the County Academy. Congratulations given to the North Bucks participants that have taken part in the regional finals recently. All girls to keep up the continued hard work. 6. AOB 2014 2015 Fee Proposal PH confirmed the following proposal is for the North Bucks fees for 2014 2015. - Propose that fees stay the same at 2.00 per person, with a minimum of 20 per club. ( Under 11 s Free) - Secondary Schools - 7.00 - Primary Schools Free PH asked for a vote in which there were no objections and all were in favour. Election of Officers: PH confirmed that the current committee would like to re stand for their positions within the North Bucks Committee with the exception of the vacant position of Chairman as PH has now stood down. PH also confirmed that there is a person who would like to uptake the Role of Chairman of North Bucks, with this person being Sachel Grant. PH asked if anyone else would like to stand for these positions (job descriptions shown) - Chairman - Vice Chairman - Secretary - Treasurer - Coaching Secretary - Umpiring Secretary - Talent Coordinator - Publicity Officer PH also asked if there was a proposer / seconder for Sachel Grant to uptake the role. Proposer Carolyn Davies Seconder Wendy Price Bradley. A majority vote was taken for the current committee to re stand in which there were no objections and all were in favour. PH congratulated Sachel Grant for her new role as Chairman of North Bucks Netball Association and the committee on their continued roles. Due to the re structure of the committee there is currently a vacant position for Coaching Secretary

Golden Globes Awards Golden Globe Awards take place with an award given to each category: The winners are as follows: Teacher of the Year Jayne Dunn Volunteer for the Year Claire Hawkes Official of the Year Carolyn Davies Club of the Year Clan Coach of the Year Kat Ratnapala PH thanked all of the committee members for all of there help and support while being the North Bucks Chairman. PH asked if there were any other questions No questions therefore AGM was concluded. Meeting closed 7.57pm
