Riyadh (NZ) - was in the adjacent stall to the fractious horse; underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers and was passed suitable to race. Plot The Course - jumped away awkwardly and shortly after the start had to be steadied when racing tight to the inside of Radical. Radical - held up rounding the home turn before gaining clear running near the 150m. Spirit Or Lager - rider Brian Higgins was of the opinion the gelding may have come to the end of its preparation and may need a freshen up. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Sadaqa - rider Dwayne Dunn was of the opinion that the gelding is better suited when leading or sitting outside the leader. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Race 2 - Quest Moonee Valley Plate - 1200 metres: Legerity - at the request of the stable underwent a veterinary examination after arriving on course and was subsequently a late withdrawal at 6.47pm. All monies invested on Legerity to be refunded. Deductions applicable to bets placed on winner and place-getters prior to 6.47pm: 7 cents in the dollar for the Win #3, 8 cents in the dollar for place of winner #3, 5 cents in the dollar for second place #2, 7 cents in the dollar for third place #9 and 7 cents in the dollar for double bets. Kens Dream - jumped away awkwardly. Hung out rounding the home turn and in the straight. Dissolute - jumped away awkwardly and shifted in resulting in Centauro being brushed and becoming unbalanced. Rider Craig Williams could offer no explanation for the performance, which was below market expectations. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Centauro - brushed and unbalanced at the start. Apiato (NZ) - jumped away awkwardly and shifted in. Blue Tycoon - jumped away awkwardly, shifted in and bumped Curvature. Passing the 400m was bumped by Dam Ready (Luke Currie) which shifted out to improve its positon and a short distance later then got unbalanced and was checked after making contact to Dalradian on its outside. Rider Michael Walker could offer no explanation for the performance. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Benz - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Raced wide without cover. Dam Ready - raced in restricted room over the concluding stages and had to be eased approaching the winning post due to Benz shifting out slightly when laying out. Rider Luke Currie was reprimanded for shifting out passing the 400m causing tightening to Blue Tycoon. Race 3 - The Sporting Globe After The Last JRA Cup (Group 3) - 2040 metres: Real Love - jumped away awkwardly, shifted in and made contact with Tarquin. Bold Sniper (GB) - raced wide without cover in the early stages. Observational (GB) - unable to improve its position passing the 600m when held up before gaining clear running approaching the 300m. Tom Melbourne (IRE) - had to be steadied approaching the wining post when shifting out under pressure and therefore having to avoid the heels of Tarquin. Rider Dwayne Dunn reported that his mount would benefit from the addition of a tongue tie and a drop in distance to 1800m. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.

Race 4 - Inglis 55 Second Challenge Heat 2-955 metres: Gallant Harmony - after making contact with a gate leaving the mounting yard, underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers and was passed suitable to race. Held up rounding the home turn before gaining clear running near the 150m. Over the concluding stages had to be steadied away from the heels of Gun Case which shifted out. It Is Written - slow to begin. Tristrams Sun - knuckled on jumping away. Corsica Lad - slow to begin. Held up over the concluding stages Estaminet - raced wide without cover. Hung out in the straight and approaching the winning post shifted out and brushed It Is Written. Aunty Mo - hung out rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight. Race 5 - Strathmore Community Bank Stutt Stakes (Group 2) - 1600 metres: The Rich Fisher - bounded in the air as the start was effected and lost ground. Pyx Chamber - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Back To The Bowler - raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages. Pyx Chamber - on straightening had to be steadied when tightened for room between Kaching and Land Of Plenty (Craig Newitt) which shifted out. Land Of Plenty - rider Craig Newitt was issued with a severe reprimanded for permitting his mount to shift out on the point of the home turn (200m) when insufficiently clear of Pyx Chamber which had to be eased to avoid that horses heels. Kaching - brushed on the hindquarters by Pyx Chamber on straightening and became unbalanced. Hung inwards in the straight. Inference - hung in rounding the home turn and in the straight. Rider Dwayne Dunn stated his mount travelled well then failed to respond to his riding in the straight. He added the colt would be suited by a bigger track and would benefit from tonights run. Mandalay Bay - was unable to improve its positon passing the 300m for a short distance when held up behind Inference and again had to be steadied on the point of the home turn (200m) when again momentarily disappointed for a clear run then had a tendency to lay inwards in the straight before gaining clear running inside the 200m.

Tessera - rider Craig Williams could offer no explanation for the performance which was below market expectations. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Manhattan Street - rider Jonathan Riddell stated in his opinion did not run out the mile. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Race 6 - Zoustar Stocks Stakes (Group 2) - 1600 metres: Rising Romance (NZ) - slow to begin. Baby Dont Cry - marginally slow to begin. When questioned regarding the tactics adopted tonight, rider Harry Coffey explained his instructions were to ride the mare where she travelled comfortably and was mindful that given it was having its first start for almost a month, he was reluctant to put his mount under too much pressure in the early stages. He added that it wasnt his intention to get that far back after being crossed easily by Iggimacool, and that his mount did not feel comfortable in its action throughout the race and pulled up quickly soon after the finishing line. The Stewards then ordered a veterinary examination and this failed to reveal any abnormalities. Kaniana - raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages. Iggimacool - rider Chris Parnham reported the mare travelled keenly in the early stages and when placed under pressure failed to respond to his riding. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have the thumps. Clemency - rider Craig Williams could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a delayed recovery and a throat abnormality and a veterinary clearance will be required prior to racing again. Race 7 - Charter Keck Cramer Moir Stakes (Group 1) - 1000 metres: Ball Of Muscle - underwent a veterinary examination after arriving on course and was passed suitable to race. Extreme Choice - connections advised would be ridden back from the wide gate; settled at the rear of the field. Chautauqua - jumped away awkwardly and made contact with Chloe In Paris. Rider Dwayne Dunn was of the view his mount was doing its best work over the concluding stages and may be better suited over 1200m. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Chloe In Paris - jumped away awkwardly and made contact with Chautauqua.

Heatherly - began awkwardly. Post race veterinary examination identified the presence of blood at both nostrils. The mare shall not without permission of the Stewards: (a) be trained, exercised or galloped on any racecourse for a period of two months thereafter; (b) start in any race for a period of three months, and then only after a satisfactory gallop of at least 1000m in the presence of a Steward. Buffering - rider Damian Browne could offer no explanation for the performance which was disappointing. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Race 8 - William Hill Handicap - 1200 metres: Nicoscene - began awkwardly. Fast Cash - over-raced in the early and middle stages. Raced wide without cover. Just Magical - raced wide without cover in the early and middle stages. Sir Bacchus - got its head up when over-racing in the early stages. Had to be checked near the 300m to avoid the heels of the weakening Mandla. Held up passing the 300m before gaining clear running passing the 100m. Taddei Tondo - held up from the 400m before gaining clear running passing the 200m. Heza Ripper (NZ) - rider Dylan Dunn stated after having to work hard in the early stages, then failed to respond to his riding when placed under pressure. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Mandla - rider Beau Mertens could offer no explanation for the performance. Caulfield, Saturday September 24 th 2016 Caulfield 24 September Race 1 - THE ALFRED HOSPITAL PLATE - 1100 metres: Magic Alibi - trainer Mr Gerald Ryan advised that the mare had pulled up well and further scoped clean therefore it was their intention to continue on with its current preparation. Race 3 - MONIEK SAMBOR TILE IMPORTER HANDICAP - 1700 metres: Longeron - the Hawkes stable advised that the gelding had pulled up satisfactorily however it was now their intention to send it for a spell. Big Memory (FR) - trainer Mr Tony McEvoy stated that the gelding did not appreciate the Good 3 track conditions and had jarred up slightly following the performance and added that it was their intention to carry on towards an event over more ground, most likely the Herbert Power. Race 4 - INGLIS CUP - 2000 metres: Craven Image - the Weir stable advised that the gelding had pulled up well however it was now their intention to send it for a spell.

Race 7 - YULONG PARK SIR RUPERT CLARKE STAKES - 1400 metres: Xtravagant (NZ) - co-trainer Mr Jamie Richards advised the horse had pull up well however it was their intention to return to New Zealand this week. Race 8 - HYLAND RACE COLOURS UNDERWOOD STAKES - 1800 metres: Tavago (NZ) - co-trainer Mr Trent Busuttin advised the horse had pulled up well and further they have had blood tests taken which they would advise the Stewards of the results should anything come to light.
