3 WHO IS LARRY TEN VOORDE? This will probably be the first question that comes to mind after seeing my portfolio. I will answer this question by starting with a short resumé. I'm best described as a loyal person, always in a good mood and someone who wants to win and will keep fighting until the last man standing has fallen. And this can be seen in my list of results. In just three years time I climbed from German Champion in the Micro class to German Champion in the Junior World class, which was rewarded with participation in the World Finals in Italy. 4 RESULTS FROM THE PAST, A GUARANTEE FOR THE FUTURE? Since 2005 I have been karting. And that has been very successful. Being successful in karting provides the opportunity to grow into the world of motorsport. And that is exactly what I want. I am convinced that my knowledge, mental attitude, talent and physical health can get me to the best of Europe in considerably short time. Because I have been driving with the B&W Kart-Team since the beginning, my mechanic and I are fully attuned. This gives me a great advantage over the competition. For the first time I will have a teammate in the same class, so we can help each other forward. And through extensive training in the winter I stay in shape. All factors that will greatly help me compete for the title in the Senior World class, which I will participate in Perhaps the biggest advantage of all is the fact that the B&W Kart-Team has purchased a formula car. The aim is thus to have their potential drivers practice with this car for the next level in motorsport. I am one of those drivers. This car is therefore an important factor in my development and the way I want to implement this plan. Below is a complete list of my results in recent years. In just five years time, I have been a Champion for seven times. That is a remarkable achievement in itself. 5 YOU & LARRY TEN VOORDE Karting is expensive. A season driving in the top costs about 35,000 Euros. For every successful driver, there comes a moment that we have to look for external resources. The past years have been costly, what compels me to look for funding now. Hence I am looking for sponsors or people who can help me to the next level in motorsport. But why would you really sponsor me? The best answer to this question is name recognition and market expansion. When you sponsor me, I make sure that your company logo will be clearly visible on the kart and my racing overall. This makes is highly visible to every potential customer. Because I have races throughout the Netherlands and Germany, your name will be known at many different locations in both countries. Without you having to do any effort, because this task will I be doing for you. Can it be any easier than this? It is also possible that I arrange a karting event for your company or a visit to a race. Actually, (almost) anything is possible. But because every person and organization is unique, I can hardly demonstrate a ready-made package to you. This I will not do. Unlike this, I will work with you to reach an agreement that perfectly suits your business objective. This is how I can help you, and you can help me. 6 LARRY AND HELPING OTHERS It is not just driving for yourself, but mostly to adjust a kart as perfect as possible. However, this can only be done if the driver can give clear feedback to his mechanic. And this in turn can be achieved by having knowledge of the kart and how it works. Although I focus on my own success, I help others with their success too. I do this by being a mechanic for other drivers during local races and by sharing my experience and knowledge with them to get them just a little faster. People do not see me as a selfish person, but as someone who is willing to help another. By helping others, not only do I improve my social skills, but also my technical knowledge of the kart enormous. How does it work and why is it so, or not? 7 THE RACE SCHEDULE FOR 2011 In the year 2011 I will participate in several contests. The focus will be mainly on the Rotax Max Challenge Germany, but to expand my experiences on the international level, I will try to participate in the Euro Challenge. If that is not enough, we will also try to find time and funds to further enhancing my experience by participating in the Chrono Challenge, the Dutch Rotax Max Challenge.
