SORI S STORY: In Tuesday s win at Toronto, LF Alfonso Soriano hit his 400th career home run with a third-inning solo shot off J.A. Happ, becoming the seventh Major Leaguer all time to hit his 400th career home run while playing for the Yankees (also Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, Reggie Jackson, Gary Sheffield and Alex Rodriguez) according to Elias, marks the most such players for any Major League team. With 2,022H, 400HR and 285SB in his career, Soriano joins Barry Bonds (2,935H, 762HR, 514SB), Andre Dawson (2,774H, 438HR, 314SB), Willie Mays (3,283H, 660HR, 338SB), Alex Rodriguez (2,923H, 651HR, 320SB) and Gary Sheffield (2,689H, 509HR, 253SB) as the only players in Baseball history to record at least 2,000H, 400HR and 250SB in their careers.
