3 There are no solo championship competitions. Each round of the championship will be judged by one adjudicator to give a solo competition result. Thus, at the end of the championship, awards will be given for three individual solo competitions, plus he overall championship result. Dancers are required to perform the mandatory number of bars in Preliminary and Open Championships: i.e. 48 bars for the reel and treble jig, and 40 bars for the sip jig and hornpipe. 4 Christmas Specials These specials are NOT INCLUDED in the Family Max Competition 1000 Santa Special The Santa Special is for all siblings who have never danced at a Feis before. This competition is for tots to dress in their Christmas attire and perform for Santa. This is a highlight at each years feis. No experience needed. Competition 1001 Kerry Houston Perpetual Silver Cup Open to all dancers. Dancers will be required to dance slip jig, step down the line. Competition 1002 Dress Up Competition CASH PRIZE! Cash prizes awarded to winners. Dancers will perform to 16 bars of "Jingle Bells" or "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" dressed in their most creative Xmas theme costume Dance wise, anything goes! Be creative! Competition 1003 Barrington Special Open to Preliminary Championship dancers. Dancers will be required to dance a hornpipe, step down the line. Please note all these competitions must be entered prior to the Feis. The fee for these is $10 Soda Bread Competition Entries will be judged on appearance, texture and taste. Entries should be submitted at the feis and clearly marked as to type and name of baker- judging will be done after lunch on Saturday.
