2 COMPETITION RULES 1. Where there is an age limit for any competition, a competitor s age will be taken as that which he/she had reached on or before 1st January The decisions of the adjudicator are final. Objections may be lodged in advance of the results by a teacher in writing together with a fee of There must be silence in the hall during the performance of each competition. 4. Dancers must be in full costume including shoes for the presentation of prizes. 5. Children dancing in U12 & below are not permitted to wear facial make up. Those found doing so will be disqualified & entries fees not refunded. 6. There is to be no changing of costumes in the hall. Please use the changing rooms provided. 7. NO SMOKING or ALCOHOL is permitted in the Feis area. 8. Mobile phones must be switched off or on silent mode in the hall. 9. Videoing, flash photography & camera phones may not be used whilst competitions are in progress. They may be used during prize giving. 10. Beginners A: confined to competitors who have never won a 1st place in that dance in that grade at any age. 11. Beginners B: confined to competitors who have never won a 1st place in that dance in that grade at any age. 12. Pre-open: confined to competitors who have never won 1st place in that particular age group. 13. Open: open to all competitors. 14. Dancers must dance in at least 1 OPEN solo competition in order to be eligible to compete in the championship. 15. Dancers up to and including U9 are not permitted to wear Solo Costumes ENTRY FEES Solo Dances 3.00 Trophy Competitions, Cups and Championships 4.00 Family Fee (2 dancers), (3 or more dancers) A HALL LEVY OF 2.50 PER ADULT WILL BE CHARGED ON THE DOOR FOR EACH DAYS ENTRY TO THE FEIS Sending your entry: Entries to be ed to: trinityscid@gmail.com and will only be accepted from teachers registered with An Comhdhail. Payment MUST be sent no later than 5 days after the entries - please pay fees on line in one lump sum per school. Please ask for bank details when sending your entries Please ensure you receive a reply advising receipt. POSTAL ENTRIES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED Possibles: Dancers who are entered as possibles must pay their entry, in CASH on the day in order to receive their number card. Maximum of 10 possibles per school. Closing Date: Monday 22nd May Late entries will only be accepted if convenient to the feis organiser and MUST be accompanied by a 20 late entry fee. This is non-negotiable. TRAVEL The venue is only 4 miles from Heathrow Airport. The nearest train station is Hayes and Harlington (from London Paddington in 20 minutes) which is 1 mile from the venue. Approx 1 mile from M4 Jtcn 4 Gatwick is approximately 45 minutes away, Luton 35 minutes and Stansted hours ACCOMMODATION Premier Inn, Shepiston Lane, Hayes, Middlesex, UB3 1RW (shuttle bus to and from Heathrow), approx 1 mile from venue - rooms currently starting at 40 per night Mercure Heathrow, Shepiston Lane - Hayes - Middlesex UB3 1LP (shuttle bus to and from Heathrow), approx 0.5 miles There are many local hotels due to the proximity to Heathrow Airport Local attractions: Legoland, Thorpe Park, Westfield Shopping Centre, Windsor Castle
