Commerce San Antonio, Texas WEIGH-INS Rule (6.1.8.) There will be zero tolerance on any overweight than the chosen Weight Category. October 7, :00 am-10:00am Check in general weigh-in October 8, :00 am Sharp! October 9, :00 am Sharp! Trial scale will be available 30 minutes before weigh-ins each day and 15 minutes after last bout of each competition All boxers must be clean shaven and have passbook in their possession at weigh-ins. 1

2 COACH S MEETING October 7, 2016 at 1:00 pm IMPORTANT TOURNAMENT INFORMATION Boxer Age Classification Youth 16 to 17 years of age Male/Female age of boxer is determined using his/her date of birth. Senior 18 to 40 years of age Male/Female age of boxer is determined using his/her date of birth. Division/Eligibility of Boxer Youth Novice (0-9 bouts) Non-Advancing Tournament Youth Open ( 10+ bouts) Advancing Tournament Senior Novice ( 0 9) Non-Advancing Tournament Senior Open ( 10 + bouts) Advancing Tournament Because this will be the advancing competition for OPEN BOXERS they must be a citizen of the United States of America. WEIGHT CLASSES ZERO TOLERANCE ON ANY OVER WEIGHT AT WEIGH-INS BOXER WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO CHANGE WEIGHT CLASS AT EVENT. Senior/Youth Male: 108, 114, 123, 132, 141, 152, 165, 178, 201, 201+ Senior/Youth Female: 106, 112, 119, 125, 132, 141, 152, 165, 178, 178+ EQUIPMENT *Boxers (male or female) must wear USA Boxing Approved headgear and sleeveless athletic shirt (singlet, jersey, compress shirt). *No Tape of any kind is allowed on the uniform. *No red or partially red colored mouth pieces may be worn. *Boxers must wear a pair of loose-fitting trunks that reach halfway down the thigh, no lower than the knees. * No adornment may be affixed to the trunks such as metal or plastic objects, sequins, etc. * Trunks cannot have fabric that is partially attached and therefore able to flap with the movement of the boxer. This includes gladiator/thai type trunks, fringe, and tassels, etc. 2

3 AWARDS 1 st and 2 nd place in each weight class Novice and Open Division Each boxer will receive a South Texas Championships T-Shirt Outstanding Bouts of the Tournament Youth Division **** Senior Division OPEN DIVISION Youth and Senior Champions will receive team uniforms and $ travel funding. OPEN DIVISION Youth and Senior Champions will receive part of their athlete training support funding in San Antonio with the remainder after national championships with proper documentation. Team award for 1 st in Novice Division Team award for 1 st in Open Division Team award will be a combination of male and female points in each division. CREDENTIALS Each team will receive the following amount of Coach s Passes (1-5 boxers = 2 passes) (6 or more = 3 passes) no More than 3 passes will be given per team. Passes will be given out during initial weigh-ins first day of tournament. San Antonio is such a tourist oriented city there are so many to chose from and can suit anyone s budget or taste. Double occupancy rooms starting per night most include breakfast.
