This not only refers to the boat hull, but also to detachable parts. In our opinion this is the safest way to fulfill our high demands with regard to quality or to react quickly, if difficulties should occur. A number of accessories, like for example the steerings, car roof accessories or the boat carts are made in Germany. Other articles like paddles or spray decks and pack bags are from EU partner countries. This sector will be further extended in the next few years. Concept development and development of the boats and equipment is taking place almost exclusively at our site in Rosenheim. We are working with seasoned paddlers and a team of knowledgeable producers who, in close cooperation with us, strive to develop useful and high quality products for you. A good example would be our own production of paddling clothes and safety vests in cooperation with our technically experienced partners in Slovenia. Due to short distances, a continuous quality control as well as continuous contact between us and the respective producers is guaranteed. Re-production even of smaller units is no problem. The haulage distances of goods which are produced in Germany/Europe are markedly shorter, which also reduces energy expenditure for transport. Maintaining or creating jobs is another concern of ours, which also benefits our suppliers in Germany and Europe. 2 MATERIAL AND CHARACTERISTICS OF PRIJON KAYAKS WHICH BOAT MATERIAL SUITS YOUR PURPOSE BEST? We are offering three different materials for sea kayaks and touring kayaks. You will find the best kayak material for your purpose. HTP is the sturdiest material used in the production of kayaks world-wide. Whatever you are planning, the boat is almost indestructible. Laminate kayaks, made of Carbon-Aramide are very light and elegant. If low weight is important to you, they are the right choice. Laminate boats are, however, more susceptible to ground impact and should therefore be primarily used in freeflowing waters. PriLite kayaks are in between HTP and Laminate with regard to weight and sturdiness. They are HTP GFK Carbon/Aramid PriLite lighter than HTP, but sturdier than Laminate kayaks. low usable satisfactory good very good Mechanically durable Thermally durable Not sensitive to ground impact Weight / Handling HIGH-PERFORMANCE THERMOPLAST For the production of its world-famous HTP-kayaks, PRIJON is using a special PE, called HTP. This material can only be used in blow-moulding and not in roto-moulding, as used by other producers of kayaks. The molecule chains of HTP are approximately 10 times longer than those of rotating PE. This makes the boat hulls stiffer, lighter and less susceptible to abrasion. HTP-kayaks have clear advantages regarding form stability, abrasion and boat weight, compared to kayaks made of rotated PE. HTP is very environmentally friendly. When it is recycled, there are no poisonous gases or residues; it is ground water neutral and free of heavy metals. Care: HTP-boat shells are very sturdy and already possess a permanent protection against UV-rays. Therefore they need no treatment with vanishes, wax or other care materials. + Extremely high level of mechanical resilience + Not sensitive to ground contact + Stiff and form stable when paddling in arctic or tropical regions - Comparably high weight 2

3 PRILITE For PriLite boats, the ABS-combination plates, sealed with UV-resistant perspex, are pulled into the hot moulds, which have a temperature of approximately 80 degrees, in a computerized process, using heat and vacuum. The upper and lower parts of the boat are inseparably joined together by a double-sided U-profile. This profile additionally strengthens the sides of the kayak against impact. The mounting of deck mountings and interior fittings are thoroughly done by hand, as on all PRIJON boats. Advantages: PriLite boats are approx. 20% lighter than comparable kayaks made of HTP. At the same time there is a clear advantage regarding stability compared to GFK or Carbon/Aramide. Repairs/Care: Superficial scratches can be polished off with a special paste, available in specialized shops. Larger repairs are made with Epoxi. The inside of the boat should not be permanently exposed to sun (store upside down!). + Lighter than HTP + More sturdy than GFK/Carbon Aramide - More susceptible to mechanical wear and tear than HTP LAMINATE Laminated kayaks are made by hand in the traditional way. They are more sensitive to contact with the ground compared to boats made of HTP or PriLite, and should therefore be predominantly used in free-flowing waters. PRIJON is offering the two material varieties of GFK and Carbon/Aramide. GFK: The fibre mats of our GFK-kayaks mainly consist of glass fibres, which are very stiff, but still favourable in cost. Kayaks made of GFK are comparable to the PriLite boats with regard to their weight. + 20% reduction of weight compared to a comparable HTP-kayak + Elegant shape + Simple handling outside the water - More susceptible to mechanical wear and tear than HTP and PriLite Carbon/Aramide: These boats mainly consist of carbon and Aramide fibres, combining the excellent qualities of carbon, which is very hard and gives the boat its stiffness with the qualities of Aramide, which is very shock-proof and provides the necessary impact resistance. The biggest advantage of this construction method is clearly the incredibly low weight (up to 10kg lighter than HTPboats). Care/Repairs: If the boat hull should get damaged, specialized shops provide repair sets matching the material. + The lightest boat, 25% less weight than a HTP-kayak + Elegant shape - More susceptible to mechanical wear and tear than HTP and PriLite 3

5 TECHNICAL ASPECTS TOURING The equipment of touring boats is designed for functionality and long-distance efficiency. Ample adjustment possibilities facilitate a perfect adjustment of the seating position. Thought-through equipment details, like water-tight storage space, luggage nets and perimeter safety lines increase the utility on long kayaking tours on lakes and the sea. Boats with partitioned luggage storage at the front and back are unsinkable. Storage space front and back. Waterproof storage compartments. Large hatches for comfortable storing and removing of equipment. Neoprene lids for watertight sealing of hatches. Plastic hatch cover to protect against outside impact. PRIJON Deck-Box The DeckBox is only spray water- proof. We therefore recommend packing items which are sensitive to water, additionally in a water-tight way. The producer does not take any liability for potential damage. Anti-Theft Device Stainless steel bracket attached with screws which cannot be loosened. Just hook in a steel cable lock and lock it! Perimeter safety lines and tow lines as well as several mountings for strapping belts, deck bags and safety lines. Watertight seperation:threetime sealed foam wall for additional stability of the boat's body. Deck Netting front and back: small objects always at your reach. Rudder mountings for adding rudder as well as line hooks as a standard feature. FLEX 4 Adjustable Seating System Adjustment options to adjust the seating position in the optimum way Foam-cushioned seat and backrest as well as thigh cushion with textile cover as a standard feature. The seat is softer and more comfortable. Thigh cushions are adjustable lengthwise by approx. 7 cms, thus permitting knee angle to be adjusted in the best way possible. By loosening the screws at the sides, the seat can be moved by approx. 10 cms. Don't forget to tighten them again. A bracket, centrally located at the seat, arrests the angle of the backrest. The position of the foot rest with the rudder pedals can be adjusted according to leg length. The process of heating up in the summer and cooling down in the winter is reduced. 5

MARLIN In cooperation with James Venimore, an expert who knows the international sea kayak scene and who imports Prijon equipment to Sweden, the new MARLIN was developed. An extremely agile kayak, but which possesses very good tracking qualities. A kayak which is easy to ride on the edges and at the same time has a very safe position in the water. Both ambitious sea kayak paddlers and athletic touring paddlers will be pleasantly surprised by the good riding qualities of the MARLIN. Safe gliding when keeping to a straight line, fast changes of direction by using the edges of the boat, all can be done in a safe and precise manner. 7 KODIAK Our big star! The ideal kayak for long stretches with luggage across larger waterways. The KODIAK is fast, safe and offers unique storage space for this boating class as well as a very spacious seating hatch which is especially interesting for larger paddlers. Flatter and slimmer than the Kodiak, the Barracuda seems to reduce long stretches very quickly. But careful, only experienced paddlers are really able to handle this boat. Without compromise, the Barracuda is geared at speed and tracking, which makes it the ideal boat to train on vast waterways. Due to the smaller seating hatch one has good contact with the boat. Due to the light weight and the resulting mobility fishing kayaks can be used and transported in far more flexible and varied ways than the rowing boats usually used, which are mostly associated with one immobile mooring. Our boat is equipped with a tiltable and pivotable rod mounting, which can also be removed. This mounting is attached to the CRUISER with a base plate to reduce the distance to the paddler. In order to accommodate the increasing demands, we continue to develop the technical details and make them always more sophisticated and durable. You should be able to rely on our kayaks at any time, even in extreme situations. Due to the excellent material qualities of our HTP we can continue to do without the integration of middle wedges to make the boat hull stiffer. This facilitates climbing in and out of the boat as well as the integration of pointed bags or packsacks in general.
