Queen City Trampoline and Tumbling Boosters Welcome Packet

Dear New Team Member, Welcome to the QCTNT Booster family from the coaches and the Booster s Board! Through this packet we would like to introduce you to the Booster Club and the team. There are few better personal growth opportunities for children than being a member of a well-run TNT team. There are great benefits to you, the parent, in being part of the team as well. All families are encouraged to volunteer throughout the season and to attend the Booster Club meetings to create a sense of community and support, both in the gym and out. Financial and personal commitment allows for a sustainable Booster Club that will forge new experiences and friendships. Our booster organization is the backbone of a successful team and has been the main driver in our ability to accomplish consistent greatness over the years. The boosters fund the coach s expenses to all events where our athletes represent Queen City. This makes it possible to have coaches present at these events, and subsequently, for our athletes to take the floor. The boosters also arrange for uniform orders, team pictures, fundraisers, the year-end awards day and group outings. Over the years, it is repeatedly demonstrated that the kids who enjoy the activity the most, and have the most success and stay with the sport they love the longest, have parents who are actively involved in the boosters organization. The kids do their part on the floor competing and training. The parents do their part via booster participation and through all the other ways they support team athlete membership. Our booster organization has established friendships that have lasted well beyond the years since members have moved on from QCTNT. Just knowing that is very rewarding! Give your child this time-tested advantage. We will shortly be sending you an with a link to our online sports team management TeamSnap.com. Be sure to complete the profile on your athlete, including t-shirt size and contact information. This app will ensure you receive updates about the team, register your athlete for meets, send information about Booster club meetings and events, etc. Additionally, be sure to visit our website for more information: or visit our Facebook site: Queen City Trampoline and Tumbling. You will also receive s from Coach Steve throughout the season with important updates and tips. In closing, huge thanks for your support of QCTNT. If you have any questions, comments or observations, feel free to contact Coach Steve or our Booster s President directly. GO BLUE! 4 The Booster Club and Kids First An explanation of the two entities serving the Queen City Trampoline & Tumbling Team - Two Entities To Serve Your Athlete More Effectively The Queen City Trampoline and Tumbling Booster Club and Kids First are two SEPARATE and DISTINCT organizations. There are no legal or financial connections, nor any common officers or board members. The only connection between the two organizations is their mutual desire to help the athletes, support the coaches, and to cooperate with one another to that end. Queen City Trampoline & Tumbling Booster Club: is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to support the Team s goals in spirit as well as financially by subsidizing costs that are not covered by Team tuition. This includes: competition fees, coaches travel expenses, uniforms, and other items as needed. It is important to make this next point VERY clear: The Booster Club is run by the parents, for the parents, and exists because of the parents it is your club! Kid s First Sports Center: is a for-profit corporation. The tuition that you pay to Kids First Sports Center is budgeted to cover all costs associated with regular everyday training of an athlete. This includes facility time, coaching, etc. 4

Your Booster Club SUGGESTED COMMITMENT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 1. Commit!: Trampoline & Tumbling is a sport that requires a large family commitment. It has year round training. You can expect to have one or more meets per month during the competitive season. The season is typically January - May. Athletes competing L5 and over have the opportunity to qualify to the Regional and National Meets held during the summer. Alternative: Children whose parents cannot commit to the essentials of timeliness and attendance generally perform poorly in the sport over time. Parents of children new to the sport sometimes worry about the commitment level of this sport. How will their athlete juggle training, school, and family? What seems like conflict turns out to be a blessing, as these athletes tend to develop excellent time management skills and become incredibly responsible. Trampoline & Tumbling is often the best thing that ever happened to a child s schoolwork. When exceptional people get together doing exceptional things there is a real tendency for that mindset to rub off. 2. Cooperate: Think of we not me. A cooperative spirit is essential in all healthy organizations. Moreover, it provides a rare opportunity for parents to model a good work ethic, teamwork, cooperation and collaborative skills to their kids. Alternative: Less is accomplished and time is wasted in an organization whose members don t work together toward common goals. In all things, look at the big picture. Try first to see the perspectives of all people, all factions; this effort will give your perspective the greatest likelihood of being considered by others. Working together is a skill you can model for your children through involvement in the Booster Club. Teamwork is for life! 3. Be Responsible: Information about The Team and our Booster Club is distributed frequently. Please make every effort to utilize the methods of communication provided by the Club and respond in a timely fashion. Alternative: Missed deadlines, unfulfilled obligations, and diminished social involvement Current methods of communication: Athlete file folder: Please hold your child accountable for checking their folders. Team Bulletin Board: upcoming events, meet dates, sign-ups for private lessons with Steve. reminders through . Booster Meetings: there s no substitute for being there to receive information first-hand. Team Snap (and app): register your athlete for meets, sign-up to attend other events. 5

SUGGESTED COMMITMENT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 4. Attend Booster Meetings: Held regularly throughout the competitive season with more meetings leading up to the home meet in mid- March. Much information is shared at the meetings. A well-informed Club is a healthy club. Alternative: Those who don t attend the meetings tend to be less informed, and less involved. The health and vitality of our Booster Club is dependent on the breadth of support from its parent members. We ask that you commit to being part of the solution by attending as many meetings as possible. In a society where schedules are crammed full, this is an area where a little sacrifice of time can make a world of difference in your understanding of the role of the organization and its importance. 5. Attend the QCTNT Team Awards Ceremony: Generally held in August Alternative: Miss out on a wonderful event recognizing your child s, their team, and the coaches efforts. The QCTNT team awards ceremony is an inspiring time for athletes and parents, alike. Athletes are recognized and receive merit awards. This is also a wonderful social event and is typically an outdoor potluck. 6. Be in good financial standing with dues or assessments: Dues are based on the cost to compete for your athlete during the competitive season. Remember, the Boosters are non-profit; so all dues paid to the Club are applied to costs associated with your athlete. Alternative: Through agreement with the coaches, those families not in good financial standing with the Boosters will not be permitted to compete for Queen City Trampoline and Tumbling until the shortfall is addressed. In addition to meet fees, you will have USAG dues, uniform expense, and an annual booster member fee determined annually. You will be contacted by our Treasurer at the end of summer and several times throughout the competitive season in regards to the payment of these team member expenses. Please find the estimated expenses listed in the following section to understand cost more accurately. 7. Think in terms of a marathon, not a sprint. TNT is a long-term sport with benefits that last a lifetime. The goal is a healthy, happy, and responsible child. Always think in terms of your future 18 year old instead of the child you have today. Alternative: Athletes and families will get frustrated and their success will be short term. 6

SUGGESTED COMMITMENT ADDITIONAL INFORMATION 8. Volunteer to staff our home meet (generally held in the middle of March). Each family must have one parent available all day on the day of the meet AND sign-up to complete 2 work assignments. Also, there must be at least one parent at both the set-up, the evening before the event, and the tear-down after the event. Alternative: An under-staffed meet will result in a poorly run meet. Running meets requires PEOPLE POWER, and that means each of us. One meet can generate a profit of $10-$20k and we can t do that without you. Additionally, there is a TON of planning and preparation before each meet. We are looking for hardworking, energetic people to chair the various committees and to staff the event. No experience is necessary and the rewards are great. 9. You are encouraged to participate in all our fundraising endeavors. The greater the participation, the greater the rewards for the whole team. Alternative: Less money generated in fundraising equals higher booster dues. Various fundraisers will take place throughout the year. Participation to the fullest extent will benefit you and the entire team as money goes to the general fund to cover costs associated with the whole team. PLEASE COMMIT TO FUNDRAISING! 10. Be supportive: It is your obligation to support Queen City TNT, its coaches, facility, and the Booster Club at all times. Alternative: Negative interaction breeds negative feelings. Our athletes work endless hours to achieve a perfect 10. The best method for allowing them to pursue their dreams is to maintain an environment of support for their endeavors, their coaches, the facility they train in, and the Booster Club. BE POSITIVE AT ALL TIMES! Frequently Asked Questions Meetings are scheduled and members are alerted through TeamSnap.com and . You can record your ability to attend through TeamSnap.com. Booster payments are throughout the competitive season. You will receive an from our Treasurer with the invoice to be paid with instructions on how to pay it. Booster By-Laws are available at the end of this packet. Website: Facebook: Queen City Trampoline and Tumbling. Communication will be conducted through athlete folders, Team bulletin board, , website, Facebook and TeamSnap.com, Sign-Up Genius. 7

Information from the Treasurer - Estimate of Expenses Each family can expect to incur the following approximate expenses and meet fees for each athlete competing. Athletes attending Clinics, Jumpstart Testing, or Jumpstart Camp are responsible for those additional charges. This is an estimated budget of expenses only. If your athlete competes in less than 3 events at each meet, the fees will be slightly lower. Those athletes competing in the Regional Meet or the National Meet will have those additional meet fees. Social activity expenses, spirit wear, and travel expenses are among the additional costs to the family not in this budget. The Treasurer will invoices at the beginning of and during the season for booster dues. Additional invoices will be sent during the meet season depending on what meets your athlete will attend. The expectation is that all expenses for an upcoming meet season will be paid in full before the meets. 12 Information from the Treasurer - Invoicing and Registration Details As you know, the Queen City Trampoline and Tumbling Boosters is a 501(c)(3) not-forprofit organization created to serve the members of the team and promote enthusiasm for the sport. We practice at the largest privately owned facility of its kind and one of the finest run in the country, attracting knowledgeable and successful coaches. Equally impressive is that our organization is run entirely by volunteers. Through their talents and efforts, we are able to control the costs and retain our experienced coaching staff. We make every effort to respect the time of our volunteers by making the administrative process as efficient as possible while still maintaining an expected level of service to our team and its members. Our goal is to support our team and its members in a clear and transparent way. Board Members welcome any ideas that will help us with our goals. All athletes whose accounts are paid in accordance with the invoice terms will be registered for the required meets. Credits will be issued to those who indicate on TeamSnap.com that their athlete will not be attending a meet before the team registrar s registration date for that meet. Credits may be applied to other meets like regionals and nationals. Refunds, if necessary, will be available to members sometime after the end of the regular meet season. Invoices may include Booster Dues, Meet Fees and Assessments. 1. Booster Dues are intended to cover the cost of sending our coaches to events that our team athletes attend during the upcoming season. In addition, they also cover the administrative costs associated with operating the Boosters as well as running our home meet. 2. Meet fees are billed in advance and cover your athlete s entry fees. All athletes are expected to participate in regular team events. 3. Assessments are billed on an as needed basis to cover the cost of extraordinary items. 4. USAG membership is billed through the Boosters but you will receive the membership form from the coaches at the end of the summer. The form must be completed and given to the Kids First front desk staff and ask them to place it in the TNT Blue Bin, in order for your athlete to be correctly registered. 5. Additional costs may arise for athletes that attend clinics, as well as regional and national events. Any athletes attending other elite events not on the regular schedule of events will have to front the coach s expenses for traveling to these meets. Depending on available funds, the QCTNT Boosters Board can authorize to pay up to 50% of the coach s expenses for these elite meets. Anytime you would like a statement of your account, feel free to request one from the Treasurer. 12

Athlete Information Steve s Tips LESSONS FOR LIFE LEGACY 1. Life long Fitness First Establish life long health habits and take care of your physical, mental, intellectual and emotional needs and they will take care of you. 2. Choices Have Consequences Make responsible decisions by creating the ability to predetermine the outcome of your actions or inactions. If such choices bring forth grace into your life over the long haul, it is the responsible decision. Likewise, if the possible results lead to pain and negativity, it is a sign of irresponsibility in most cases. 3. Structure is the Root of Self Discipline Organize your time and environment as a basic fundamental to meet the needs of regimentation. 4. Have a Back Bone Instead of a Wish Bone Cultivate work ethic, perseverance and persistence. Have the grit to do the grueling, thankless tasks others are capable of yet unwilling to perform. This is the shortest and surest path to success. 5. Begin With the End in Mind Thoughts drive your actions and what your think is what you re behavior will gravitate towards. What you believe is what you ll receive. All hopes and dreams are the desired destination and daily deeds and goals are your road map to arrive in good time. Since quality is always greater than quantity it is important to know the difference between a wish and a want. Wishes you do nothing about, wants you do everything about. Know whom you are and what it is you aspire to accomplish. What do you want? 6. E Stands For Effort, not if fort, iffort is iffy There is no easy way! Worthwhile results come from careful planning and hard work. Knowing this, develop pride and be an on purpose person. Pride comes from doing difficult things. Pride, like self-esteem, is earned and cannot be given. Furthermore, never confuse physical effort and endurance of concentration as work, as it is a challenge worthy of your personal best. 7. If It s Meant to Be, It s Up to Me Be self-directed because success is a choice, namely your own, so live up to the motto. Work for your own goals or you will for someone who does have goals. Be a victor, never a victim and make things happen for you instead of to you, because improvement start with I. 8. Marathon Mentality Up front or in the end, either way there is a price to pay, so embrace and exercise the principle of delayed gratification. In the long run, short cuts equal shortchanging yourself and robbing you of your goals. Embrace this principle and it may help you minimize a great deal of life s inevitable pitfalls. Remember that the greatest of value is in the process and not the results so see each task as a marathon instead of a sprint. 9. Habits Are Easy to Make, But Hard to Break It takes 21 days to make a habit (good or bad), so master your habits or they ll master you! 10. Collective Responsibility is Unlimited Possibility Unconditionally respect others and the environment. Always seek to do your part in contributing to your family, community, country and colleagues by seeking to always give more than you expect in return. In times of conflict, look first for the best way, not just your own way and by sharing credit in the success that grow our of tough decisions, there will be no limit to what you can achieve. 11. It s Your Temper, You Keep It You cannot reason and argue at the same time. When one begins the other ceases. Lack of thought, planning or preparation on your part does not constitute an emergency on the part of other (and vice versa). In times of disagreement, slow down. Then show empathy and understanding of others perspective because emotion and 16

decision-making do not mix well. Thus a connection can be made in place of conflict when things are handled tactfully. 12. Build a Vocation in Terms of a Career, Not Just a Job Pursue an education in the things that are your passions and interests, not those others would expect of you. You must walk in your shoes each day of your life. This is the key to career satisfaction because you end up rarely feeling you have worked a day! 17

Parent Information - Tips Top 10 Things Parents Don t Get About Kids and Sports By Sports Illustrated for Kids 1 During car rides to games or practice, kids don't want you to tell them how to do this or that. "I am not stupid," said one 12-year-old. "I know how to play the sport I play. 2 Kids can get psyched for a game without your help. "I hate when parents say, 'Are you ready? We're going to win,' like they're playing said one kid. 3 It's your duty as a parent to sit quietly and watch your kid do wonderful things. Kids get bummed out when you miss games or yak it up too much with friends in the stands. "We're sweating and playing the game, and they're busy socializing," complained one girl. 4 If you don't know what you're talking about, kids don't want you to talk. Typical comments: "Parents think they know the rules, but they don't." "My mom asks annoying questions." And "I hate when my mom tells me to do things even when she doesn't know the first thing about sports." 5 Even if you do know what you're talking about, kids don't want you to talk (unless you're the coach). "I hate when parents tell us to do the exact opposite of what the coaches say," said one child. Added another: "If your parent isn't the coach, he or she shouldn't try to be one. 6 Kids wish you would practice what you preach about sportsmanship. "My mom always wants me to be a 'good sport,' but a lot of the time she blames the loss on the ref," claimed one kid. "Arguing with the refs is not only embarrassing, but it takes up time," said another. 7 Kid's often can't hear you yelling when they're concentrating on the game. Sometimes, they can. Either way, they don't like it. "Parents yell advice you don't hear because you're so into playing the game. Afterward they say, 'Why didn't you listen to me?'" complained one child. Said others: "I feel embarrassed when my parents yell so loud that the whole town can hear," and "They yell and scream and look like dorks." 8 After they lose, kids don't want to be told it doesn't matter. Typical reactions: "I hate when we get knocked out of the playoffs and my parents say, 'You'll get them next time!'" and "When parents try to cheer you up after a loss, al they do is remind you of the score." 9 After they lose, kids don't want to be told that it does matter. "Parents take losses harder than we do," wrote one boy. Advised one girl: "You win some, you lose some, no big deal! Get over it!" 10 Kids just want to have fun. Parents just don't get this, kids say. Many kids say they would rather play on a losing team than sit on the bench on a winning one. Some would like to skip practice once in a while. "The thing that bugs me the most is that my parents take it too seriously," summed up one child. "They act like it's school." 18

THE SEEDS OF TRADITION Mission Statement for Queen City Trampoline & Tumbling Club To be the premier program in our region, while providing the opportunity for the athletes to obtain the highest goals their commitment level will allow. With all variables involved, we will strive to be the best we can be as a team organization. Program History The concept of the Queen City Gymnastics Trampoline and Tumbling program was born at the 1997 U.S.A.T.T. Nationals. Jeff Metzger had made the trip to the Nationals to learn more about the "up and coming" sport of Trampoline and Tumbling. The seed had been planted years earlier when Jeff attended a U.S.A.T.T. Congress in Lubbock, Texas. However, Jeff's vision did not become a reality until he attended the 1997 Nationals. Shortly after leaving the Disney Nationals, Jeff began immediate plans to rearrange the initial floor plans for the New Kids First facility. The results included a regulation rod floor with a spacious run up area, space for a regulation double mini trampoline, and an area dedicated to four competitive full size in-ground trampolines. This has become one of the finest training facilities in the nation for the sport of Trampoline and Tumbling. Additional advantages enjoyed by few other trampoline and tumbling clubs include an in-ground resi and deep foam training pits with a 60-foot long in-ground tumble track trampoline feeding into a foam pit. Such an excellent training environment would have been incomplete without a program manager to create and develop the Trampoline and Tumbling venue into a reality. The choice of a program manager had not been difficult. The Head Coach of the U.S.A.T.T. powerhouse Top Flight Trampoline and Tumbling Team was selected. Steve Anderson was hired in the fall of 1997 to direct the Trampoline and Tumbling program and become its first Team Head Coach. However, the first team practice would not be conducted until November 2, The team attended its first meet January 17, 1999 at the Hand 2 Hand Invitational in Dayton, Ohio. The team went on to host the first ever annual Queen City Trampoline and Tumbling Invitational. The Team's initial season concluded with a 3rd place finish in the Kentucky-Ohio Challenger, and as the Ohio State Runner-Up, with an 11-2 record. The team qualified 17 athletes in 31 events to the National Championships in Anaheim, California. Moreover, many new club records were established and the first year-end awards ceremony was held on August 15, The following year would see QCTT win its first Invitational when they won the Stanford-Foster Invitational. The team was runners up in the Hand 2 Hand and Queen City Invitational before once again claiming the second place trophy at the State Finals. The team win loss record was an impressive 34-5 mark on the season. John Collier became the first Queen City T&T athlete to win a medal at the senior elite nationals, the first USA National Team Member and the first International competitor for QCTT. He won 23

the gold on the DMT event and the silver in tumbling at the USA Senior Elite National Championships. Then he concluded the season with a 4 th place finish in the World Cup Tumbling Event. The Team sent 27 athletes to the J.O. Nationals here in Cincinnati, taking home 7 Gold, 10 Silver and 2 Bronze Medals to collect more medals than any other team in the country. The campaign ended with a 22-5 win loss record and yet another Ohio State runner -up finish. The team had 13 individuals represented at the USA Nationals in San Antonio TX, winning 5 Gold s and one bronze. Chrissy Lehmkhul punctuated the season when she became the first senior athlete in team history. Lehmkhul competed three seasons for the team and was an original member. After returning 17 out of 34 athletes from the previous season, the season would be one of rebuilding. Tragedy struck the team at the first competition held at Hand 2 Hand T&T in Springboro, when Shannon Burford suffered a season ending and severe knee injury on the Trampoline event. The injury would require numerous surgeries and nearly a year of rehabilitation. Shannon courageously vowed to make her comeback and her unbridled determination earned her a letter, which was presented at the QCIT at the competitions awards presentation. Burford would later be presented a Purple Heart award at the team year-end Awards Day Presentation. On the team side, the Storm still had a strong showing by season s end to take a respectable 3rd place at the Ohio State Meet with a final record of The team had 13 athletes compete at the USA Nationals in Indianapolis, Indiana. The team earned a bronze, 6 Silvers and 3 Gold Medals to close the season with a promising future. The team bid farewell to Ally Senefeld-Naber as she was the lone senior on the roster for the season. The year saw our athletes in the blue and white carry on where they ended last year, strong. The team won the Trampoline title at our 5 th annual QCIT in route to claiming the teams first ever State Championship with a 24-4 season record. The national meet was held in Sacramento, California where the team returned home with 2 silver and 1 Gold medal to add to the Storm s collection. The highlight of the season came at our Annual QCIT when Shannon Burford made good on her pledge to make her come back from last years season ending knee injury. Shannon took to the Trampoline to perform the very routine she competed on the day of her tragedy and nailed it to become a legend of inspiration in the history of the QCTNT Program. The team featured two seniors in the championship season, Shannon Burford and Elizabeth Mushaben , QCTT history was made once again when Jeremiah Mohr became the first Region IV All-Star to represent the Storm. Jeremiah qualified to the team by winning the Level 10 Tumbling championship at the Region IV Championships in Joplin, Missouri. The team ended the season with a Won/Loss Record of 30-5, collecting the first ever backto-back State Championship! The USA JO National Championships were in Tampa, Florida with the squad raking in 5 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals to lace the icing on the seasonal cake! Three-peat would be the story of the QCTT Storms destiny. The team once again netted a perfect season with Won/Loss Record 24-0 and its third Straight Ohio 24

State Team Championship. Scott Sargent led the team winning the Level 10 National Championship on Trampoline while placing and impressive fourth at the Elite Challenge in Phoenix, AZ earlier in the season. Scott would go on to earn Region IV All-Star honors on Double Mini Trampoline. Sargent s little brother, Sean, showed some glimpse of following in his footsteps when he teamed up with Savannah Bailey to earn a slot with her on the USA National Jump Start Team. The team made another strong appearance at the Nationals in Houston, Texas, continuing the team reputation for excellence! In , QCTNT showed why it is one of the strongest programs in the country. Queen City would remain the strongest Team, in the strongest State, in the Strongest Region of the country for the 3 rd Straight year. The Storm took first in the Monopoly Meet in Indianapolis and then rolled to its second straight undefeated season with a Won/Loss Record of 28-0 and the fourth straight State Championship title, while helping to lead Ohio to its third Region IV battle of the States Team Championship. Region IV would go on to win its 3 rd Straight Regional All-Star Championship team title at the USA JO National Meet! Three team members were named to the USA Jump Start National Team, Savannah Bailey, Sean Sargent and Madeline Sewell. The squad also had two members on the Regional All-Star Team; they were Sean Sargent and Riley Stanforth. The team headed north to Chicago for the USA JO National Championships collecting 7 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze medals to add to the QCTNT Treasure chest built up over the years! In truly a landmark season, this was the best ever in team history! The squad took its fifth straight State Championship. Moreover, it was the first time the team had swept all four events at State to capture the victory. Riley Stanforth and Gabby Bailey took the Synchronized Trampoline event title to secure this first in team history. The synchro team went on to win the Level 10 national championship. The blue and white went 31-0 and ended the season with 9 gold, 10 silvers and 9 bronze medals at the Junior Olympic National Championships in Memphis, Tennessee. In individual honors, Queen City put two athletes, Sean Sargent/Gabby Bailey on the National Pre-Elite team for another first in the team annuals. Also, Queen City had four athletes make the Jump Start National team: Jessica Blumberg, Sean Sargent, Madeline Sewell and Victoria Smith A tumultuous season turned gold as QCTT suffered through a Civil War that would see only 18/37 team members from the previous year return. However, the team showed its true character when it reloaded quickly and rebounded quite nicely to post yet another undefeated season with a 37-0 record to complement its sixth straight Ohio State Championship title. Landon Ballas, Tori Smith, Madeline Sewell and Jessica Blumberg represented the team of blue by making the Jump Start National Team while Ashley Phillips and Megan Connett earned National Pre-Elite Team honors. Furthermore, Ashley Phillips and Riley Stanforth went on to repeat as National Synchronized Trampoline Champions for Level 10. The squad won three major Invitational en route to the National Championships: Winter Festival, Queen City and the Buckeye Invitational. The season ended for the team at the J.O. Nationals in Kansas City, MO with 4 gold, 3 silver and 4 bronze medals brought home to the QCTT Treasury! The Storm continued on the previous year s success adding its 7 th straight Ohio Championship and setting a club record for most wins in a season at 42-0, the 25

5 th straight undefeated season. Sean Sargent, our first Junior Elite, represented our club at the U.S. Elite Challenge where he paired up with Phil Svirshch (Gypsy Flyers) to win gold for Synchronized Trampoline at the event. Landon Ballas and Zachary Busam each earned a spot on the National Jump Start Team. The team coasted to victories in the Aerodynamics, Top Flight, Buckeye and Queen City Invitational before heading to J.O. Nationals in San Jose, California. The team earned 5 gold, 1 silver and 3 bronze at the event to add to the reputation of excellence of Queen City TNT at the National level. Riley Stanforth become the first athlete in 6 seasons to earn a senior award after 9 years as a member on the team QCTNT earned an 8 th Ohio State Championship. The team went 21-1 with the lone loss dealt by the Buckeye Flyers at the first meet of the season, Aerodynamics Invitational. Other highlights for the season included qualifying Annie Garretson to the Jump Start Nationals, winning the QCTT Invite and taking home 8 (5 gold, 2 silver, 1 bronze) medals from the J.O National Championships in Virginia Beach, VA. Sean Sargent put the icing on the cake for the season qualifying to the World Age Group Games in Metz, France. Sean was named to the U.S. Junior Elite National Team due to his 2 nd place finish on Individual Trampoline at the U.S. Junior Elite National Championships. This was Queen City s first Junior National Team Member as well as our first World Age Group Competitor! Number Nine sure was fine! The blue capped off a record setting season in wins with the 9 th straight Ohio State Championship title. The team went 54-1 while capturing the Aerodynamic, Top Flight and Queen City Invitational. Annie Garretson once again earned a trip to the Jump Start National Testing Event to represent our blue! Moreover, Sean Sargent earned his second straight trip to the World Age Group Championships to be held in Birmingham, England. Sean also medaled for the USA in the Canada Cup winning a Gold in the Synchronized Trampoline Event and taking home a bronze in individual Trampoline Competition. Other Honors for the season included the team taking home 6 (4 gold, 2 silver) medals from the J.O and Elite National Championships in San Antonio, TX Ten straight sure was great! A decade on top of the state of Ohio caps an era of excellence and cements the QCTT program in the realm of a dynasty. The team went 36-0 while capturing titles in the Aerodynamic, Blaine Wilson, Arnold Classic, Top Flight and Queen City Invitational. On the individual side, Gwen Johnson and Tori Smith represented QCTT as our first Region IV All Stars in 6 seasons. Moreover, Zach Busam and Annie Garretson qualified to the Jump Start National Testing Event to represent our blue! Other Honors for the season included the team taking home 13 (6 gold, 5 silver, 2 bronze) medals from the J.O and Elite National Championships in Long Beach, CA The storm started a new decade off with yet another State Championship. The team went 64-2 for a club record of wins in a single season while taking 5 Invitational Team Championships in route to claiming it s 11 th straight Team State Championship. The team finished the season with a 38-3 record and capped the season off with yet another Ohio State Championship! The individual highlights for the season included Tori Smith placing 4 th at the Elite Challenge in Junior Elite Tumbling. Tori set a club record in Junior Elite Tumbling for Queen City. Smith was our first Junior Elite Tumbler. Tori also earned a spot on the Region IV All Star Team in Trampoline. Furthermore, Ali Asbury represented QCTNT on the Olympic Development Program National Team. Moreover, teammate, Morganne Dixey, established a new club record for Level 6 Trampoline with a gold medal performance at Nationals. The team wrapped up the individual season by returning to the J.O.
