Director s Note Welcome to Ridge Community High School s 5th musical production. Since our opening in 2005, Ridge Community has strived to challenge our students to create high quality theatrical experiences that challenge, move, and inspire. This year s musical is the embodiment of our theatre department s mission and vision! High School Musical was a smash hit Disney Channel Original Movie that premiered in January It has since become the most successful Disney Channel Original Movie to date! It has inspired a whole generation of youth to be themselves and has been equated to this generations Grease! Much like Troy and Gabriella, our students are pulled in many different directions, and through the challenges of academic, athletic and other extracurricular activities. Many lessons have been learned through this production as our students try to balance the weight of growing into adulthood and determining who they want to be as young adults. We have reminded each of our young artists to discover the dream in their own hearts and to never back down from seeing it come to pass. Though our dreams will be tested and tried, we can all learn that we too can accomplish great things if we remain positive and never stop believing in our abilities to overcome challenges. Enjoy the show! The Cast and Crew would like to extend a special thanks to our administration! Mr. Russell Donnelly, Principal Ms. Angela Clark, Assistant Principal Mr. Greg Lewis, Assistant Principal Mr. Joshua Hackett, Assistant Principal Ms. Karen Johnson, Assistant Principal

6 Dear Guests: A Message from our Principal It is indeed an honor to welcome you to Ridge Community High School for our presentation of High School Musical. We are truly blessed to have such a talented and dedicated group of actors, stage technicians, musicians, dancers and staff sponsors. Our Fine Arts department has played a significant role on our campus for many years. Many long hours were devoted by all of them to bring this production to the stage. We are proud of all of our student organizations and all of the accomplishments RCHS has achieved over the last 11 years. It is with an admission of bias that I claim that we have the best high school students and staff in the county. Please enjoy this wonderful musical production. It is just one more example of our belief that at Ridge Community High School, We are the brightest. We are the best. We ARE the BOLTS! Enjoy the show! Russell Donnelly Principal Meet the Production Staff Mr. Cory Wilson (Director): Originally from Wadsworth, Ohio, Mr. Wilson was "raised in the theatre" participating in numerous community and regional theatre productions including shows at the Cleveland Playhouse, The Galaxy Dinner Theatre and Akron's Weathervane Community Playhouse throughout his youth. Last Fall, Mr. Wilson earned the distinction of Best Actor in the Theatre s prestigious Pierrot Awards. Mr. Wilson believes that every person can bring something of value to the study of theatre, and that through exploring the human condition, students develop not only academically, but also as grounded, well-rounded individuals able to participate in a variety of career paths and professions. Mr. Wilson recently graduated from Regent University with his Masters of Arts in Theatre, with which he hopes to build a collegiate level program here at RCHS. In his free time, Mr. Wilson enjoys exploring Walt Disney World, and spending time with his wife and daughter. So thank you cast members for your dedication. I love you all! She would also like to thank those who have supported her throughout this journey.
