1 PLEASE READ GREASE to perform: March 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, 17, 2018 (matineé March 17) Bears, Thank you so much to all who auditioned for Bear Stage s production of Grease. You all had wonderful auditions and did not make this an easy decision for Mr. Haltom, Mr. Dean, the panel, or myself I m so proud of all of you who tried out (over 140), but unfortunately, such a large number means I was forced to make some drops something I hate to do. Your audition panel spent the afternoon, late evening, and all day Friday discussing which of you would be cast, and honestly, it took forever We did our best to accommodate each of you. You see, casting a show is not about who is the most talented or the most experienced (and there was certainly a plethora of that). Remember, casting a show is by no means personal this is why we use anonymous numbers and not your names. It s about who is the best choice for these specific parts, with these other cast members, at this specific time. It s like putting together a very complex puzzle. Your vocal and dance audition scores combined were taken into great consideration when casting this production. For those of you who got a part, congratulations You've got a lot of hard work ahead of you To those who did not, I am so sorry Please know that I care about you and did everything possible to be fair and objective in this process. You have no idea how difficult these decisions were Attention, please mark your calendars for the following important dates: M 1/9: Mandatory Cast Meeting: 3:30-4 pm at BHS, Drama Room 403 Principle Read-Thru: 4-6pm Mandatory Parent Meeting to cover expectations: 6:30-7 pm at BHS, Drama Room 403 Rehearsal information will be made available to the cast on Monday 1/9/17. FAILURE TO BE PRESENT THESE DATES MAY RESULT IN YOUR BEING DROPPED
