3 JASON Project Do you have what it takes to be a scientist or researcher? Are you ready to learn about forces and motion in our universe? Are you interested in becoming a crash test dummy? If you answered yes to these questions then you are ready for JASON Operation: Terminal Velocity! Our research site for this expedition will be at EPCOT in Florida. This educational program will focus on the impact that forces and motion have on technological advances and the exploration of our universe. Participants will discover how systems and standards of measurement are essential tools of communication among scientists. They will explore the evolutionary nature of technology and discover the complexity behind the technology used to develop automobile efficiency and improve human space travel safety. Hands on activities, simulations, and high speed rides will be used to demonstrate the role of physics and complex machinery in these technological advances. While the value of this 5-day experience is over $1,300.00, the cost for JASON Expedition 2015 will be approximately $1, per participant, (includes airfare, accommodations, ground transportation, meals, and all activities). JASON Project students represent our school and community in and out of state and therefore the standards are very high. Students must maintain above average grades, attend school regularly (avoid tardies/absences), demonstrate excellent behavior and attitude, commit to weekly meetings and be role models for other students. Applications will be available in June and this fall. Marcus Theatres Gift Certificates Be sure to pick up some Marcus gift certificates in the office before you go to the movies.
