Alvern Lee Zheng Yang A visit to the zoo One Sunday morning, my parents, my brother and I went to the zoo. My brother love animals so he was delighted to go on this visit to the zoo. My brother brought along a camera and he took some photographs. When we reached the zoo, I was interested to look at as many animals as possible. We saw some trainers. They were walking with many elephants. The elephants lumbered very slowly. We felt happy. I love visiting the zoo. It was fun there. Ang Shyan Kai Isaias

2 Lower Primary Games Day It was Lower Primary Games Day, last Thursday. I woke up excitedly and I went to school happily. I headed to school as fast as I could. I was taking part in this game. I reached the school hall as fast as I could. I was taking part in this game. When I reached the school hall, pupils were talking loudly. I had trained very hard for the race. When the race began, I ran as fast as a bullet. Suddenly, Peter tripped and fell because he stepped on his shoelaces. He stood up to continue the race. I heard people cheering very loudly at us. After the race ended, I got a gold medal. Mary got a silver medal and Peter won a bronze medal. Malak did not win a medal. He was very upset. Peter, Mary and I were happy. As Peter had injured his hand, we took him to the General Office to put a plaster on his hand. We felt delighted and happy. Aston Ang Yu Jie Claris is my best friend. 3 Lower Primary Games Day Lower primary Games Day was held last Monday. I woke up early. I looked forward to this day. When I entered the school hall, it was crowded with people. 4 Lower Primary Games Day It was Lower Primary Games Day last Monday. Peter, JoJo,Tom and I were going to school happily. We were excited and were looking forward to win the medal. The pupils were excited too. The games started. Tom, Peter, Jo Jo and I were all getting warmed up. I ran as fast as I could but suddenly, Tom fell. I quickly ran to Tom and got him up. I quickly ran to a teacher. The teacher helped him up and took him to the office. I felt happy to help my friend. 7 Shopping for fruits One Saturday morning, Mother and I went to Giant supermarket. It was crowded with people. Everyone was there to buy some food. We were there to buy some fruits. Mother chose yellow bananas. I chose red and ripe apples and orange and juicy oranges. But this time we were not going to make the milkshake anymore. We were going to make a fruit salad. When we went home, Mother knew how to make a delicious fruit salad. We paid for the fruits and went home. I felt happy. Jowen Sim Jun Wen A VISIT TO THE ZOO One windy morning, my parents, my brother and I visited the Singapore zoo. We wanted to look at the animals. Dad said that we could look at the animals. So we went to the elephant enclosure first. We saw two humongous elephants. The elephants trumpeted loudly. Mother agreed to let us ride on the elephants. 8 A Day at A Farm One sunny morning, my family and I went to take a look at the farm. Then we wanted to take a look at the ducklings, duck and a goat. After we watched duckling play happily in the water, the mother duck was very pleased to see them. The baby goat drank a bottle of milk and we petted the baby goat s head. I had a great time. Lim Jun Wei Lex A Busy Duck One Friday morning, a lazy duck watched the farmers do their work. The lazy duck was hiding somewhere that the farmers cannot see the hiding spot. The lazy duck continued his journey and went to see other animals doing their work. He saw some sheep and a sheep dog. The lazy duck bothered them and went of again. The lazy duck again did the same thing to the cows and the chickens. When the lazy duck did to the swans, the farmers were angry with the lazy duck. The lazy duck ran away and would not come back to the farm. The lazy duck visit the farm once again but this time the farmers were not angry at all. The lazy duck became a busy duck. 9 My Safari Adventure One morning, during my trip to the safari, I saw a rhino, bear, flamingo and a zebra. The bears growl and the flamingos stood up tall and the zebra ran. It was great to watch the animals. I enjoyed myself. Matthias Luke Tan En Ze A visit to the Zoo One sunny morning, my family and l visited the Singapore Zoo. As we reached the Main gate of the zoo, we saw a huge crowd. Some were buying entrance tickets while others were relaxing under the shady trees chatting. We entered the zoo and came across a beautiful lake where some water birds like ducks were swimming. The birds were chirping. Next, we saw lions. As we approached the net, a lion rushed towards us and we were terrified. Their fierce looks were frightening. At one corner, monkeys were jumping. After taking a complete round of the zoo, we relaxed for some time. We had snacks and drinks which refreshed us very much. We boarded the bus and went home. 12 A Day at A Farm One sunny morning, two girls and a boy went to the farm. The girl in stripes fed the baby goat with a bottle of milk. The boy petted the duckling. The mother duck and the ducklings quacked. The rest of the ducklings swam into the water. The girl with a flower-designed shirt was delighted to pet the baby goat. They had a great time. Silmi Hafuza Bin Nur Hidayat Cleaning up Last Tuesday, the teacher wanted us to clean up our classroom because classroom was dirty. The teacher gave us brooms, whiteboard cleaner and rags. I used a broom and swept the floor. My classmate used rags and cleaned the tables. We worked together and our classroom was the cleanest classroom in the school! We felt exhausted but happy. I had a great time cleaning up our classroom. I hope I can clean up our classroom next time. Tan Zi Yu

13 Lower Primary Games Day It was Lower Primary Games Day last Tuesday. Ali woke up excitedly and dressed up smartly before he headed to school. He looked forward to the games. He saw pupils chatting and cheering loudly. It was his turn. He ran as fast as a rocket. Everyone cheered for him. Suddenly, he stepped on his shoelaces and fell. However, he did not cry. He stood up and dashed to complete the game. He was worried he would not win a medal. But he actually won a medal! He was very thrilled. He came in third. I woke up very early in the morning. After my breakfast, I went to school and queued up in the school hall. When it was my turn, I ran faster than a rocket. Everyone cheered loudly. When the teacher blew his whistle, we ran quickly. I almost won but suddenly, I tripped and fell because I was looking behind me and stepped on my shoelace. Everyone was shocked but I still stood up bravely and continued. I ran so fast that I beat a girl and won third place in the race. After that, I went to the General Office to clean my wound and then had a plaster. My team mates hugged me and asked, Are you okay? I told them that I was fine.
