There were 36 fewer gorillas than chimps. There were 31 more female chimps than male chimps. How many female chimps were in the bus? Question 2 I had a worse shock when I entered my classroom that day. There were 222 werewolves and vampires sitting quietly in class. There were 24 more werewolves than vampires. I noticed that some of the werewolves were hairy and the rest were bald. There were 19 more bald werewolves than hairy werewolves. How many werewolves were bald?

2 Question 3 Our teacher took us on a trip to a farm. We saw altogether 312 chickens and ducks in the farm. There were 76 more chickens than ducks there. Some of the chickens had caught bird flu. There were 86 more chickens with bird flu than those that were healthy. We killed the sick chickens and made chicken soup with them. How many chickens were still alive after that? Question 4 When I went back home, I screamed in terror because there were 259 ghosts and ghouls watching TV in my living room. There were 93 more ghosts than ghouls. Some of the ghosts were legless and the rest were headless. There were 26 more headless ghosts than legless ghosts. How many headless ghosts were haunting my house?

3 Question 5 Detective Darry caught thrice as many terrorists as gangsters in Chicago last week and put them in prison. 45 terrorists bombed the prison with dynamite and escaped by flying carpets. There were twice as many gangsters as terrorists in prison after that. How many gangsters did Darry catch? Question 6 My father baked some lizard pies and cockroach donuts last Sunday. He baked twice as many lizard pies as cockroach donuts. None of us liked the cockroach donuts but we ate 35 delicious lizard pies. After that, there were thrice as many cockroach donuts as lizard pies. How many cockroach donuts did my father bake?

4 Question 7 Brad went fishing last week and caught 4 times as many mermaids as fish with his huge net. He threw them all into his huge truck and proceeded to drive back home. Along the way, 88 mermaids broke the windows and escaped. After that, poor Brad had thrice as many fish as mermaids. How many fish did he catch? Question 8 My pretty sister had 3 times as many pimples as warts on her hairy face. She pinched 248 pimples yesterday. There were 3 times as many warts as pimples on her face after that. How many warts did she have?

Witch Wilda had $56.20 in her purse. They wanted to buy a black cat each from Mordu's Magic Shop. After paying for their cats, Wilda had 1/4 the amount of money Shaun had. How much did each black cat cost?

6 Question 11 Ali Baba entered a cave with two ropes. The blue rope was m long and the red rope was 52 m long. He found a crazy gorilla and a mad mandrill in the cave. He immediately cut off an equal length from each rope and tied up the two animals. The red rope he had left was 1/5 the length of the blue rope that was left. How much did he cut off from each rope? Question 12 My mother made 73.2 liters of frog stew and 45.2 liters of centipede soup on Christmas Day. We happily ate an equal amount of frog stew and centipede soup. After that, the amount of centipede soup left was 1/6 the amount of frog stew. How much frog stew did we eat?
