2 OFFICIAL INVITATION Dear universi9es, dear coaches, dear athletes, We are very proud to invite you to the 2nd edi9on of PARIS CHALLENGE, the 1st interna9onal university sports tournament in PARIS, from May 26 th to May 29 th In June 2016, the 1 st edi9on was amazing, gathering over 300 students from all around the world. In 2017, PARIS CHALLENGE is back; bigger, be"er and crazier! Students are increasingly invested, mo9vated, and energe9c when it comes to succeeding both in studying and athle9cs. They deserve to be offered the best condi9ons for their success. This is especially true in France where, unlike in the U.S.A, university athle9cs are o]en replaced by club sports. In light of this, a select group of sports experts have joined efforts to create PARIS CHALLENGE. Furthermore, Paris, the City of Light provides the best condi9ons to host such a sports event: rich culture, easy access, gastronomy and historical link to sports. This event is realized in partnership with STADE FRANCAIS, en historical and very popular Parisian sports union since The PARIS CHALLENGE works towards four main objec9ves: ² Promote college sports in all its dimensions (sport, iden9ty, fraternity); ² Offer a worldwide event through a high-level sports compe99on in a friendly atmosphere; ² Foster be"er rela9ons and exchanges between students from all over the world; ² Leave an everlas9ng memory in the minds of the students through the discovery of Paris, the City of Light. «SPORTS, TOURISM, & FUN»: here is the idea of this sports experience! Three whole days of high-level compe99on, sightseeing one of the most beau9ful ci9es in the world, and socializing with students from all over the world. Get ready and take up the PARIS CHALLENGE!!! 2

4 PROGRAM May 2017 ² FRIDAY May 26th: SIGHTSEEING WALKING TOUR Ø 10am-6pm: 1 day sightseeing tour in Paris organized by Paris Challenge (visits through the city ; Louvre museum, Champs Elysees, Arc of Triumph, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, Love bridge ); Ø Free time to visit and dinner in Paris recommended by Paris CHALLENGE organization; Ø 1st party: bar and night club in Paris. ² SATURDAY May 27th: SPORTS TOURNAMENTS Ø 9.30am-6pm: qualifications for basketball M&W, cheerleading, soccer M, volleyball M&W; Ø Free time to visit and dinner in Paris recommended by Paris CHALLENGE organization; Ø 2nd party: different bar and night club in Paris. ² SUNDAY May 28th: SPORTS TOURNAMENTS Ø 9.30am-1pm: play-offs for basketball M&W, cheerleading, soccer M, volleyball M&W; Ø 2pm-6.30pm: FINALS Ø CLOSING CEREMONY PARTY in a Parisian night club. ² MONDAY May 29th: VISIT AND DEPARTURE Ø Free time to visit before delegations departure. 4
