We're excited to welcome you to the largest running series in the world! This super handy event guide will provide you with all of the information you need. captain Color's top 7 tips to make the most of the color run: All Color Runners must collect their Race Packs prior to Sunday the 19th August. Come ready to run! Leave those valuables at home, you won t need them and there is no bag drop facility at the event. Be sure to wear as much white as possible for maximum color impact! Kids aged 5 and under enter the event for FREE. If on event day your little one decides they MUST have a unicorn medal, never fear, you can purchase a $5 Kids Pack (which includes the medal & a color pack) from the Merchandise Tent. your day with plenty of time so you don t miss out on any of the fun! 2 RACE PACK PICK UP: THERE ARE 2 OPTIONS The first step in your exciting journey to event day is Packet Pick Up (PPU). This year we re making it even easier for our Color Runners because we re providing you with 2 options! Just ask yourself, do you live closer to Brisbane or Gold Coast? option 1: brisbane pack pick up WHERE: City Subaru, Evelyn Street & Breakfast Creek Road, Newstead QLD WHEN: Saturday 11th of August 10:00am until 6:00pm option 2: GOLD COAST pack pick up WHERE: The Great Lawn, Broadwater Parklands WHEN: Thursday 16th of August 10:00am until 7:00pm Friday 17th of August 10:00am until 7:00pm Saturday 18th of August 9:00am until 5:00pm what you need to bring: Be sure you have signed your waiver and bring either a printed or digital copy of your ticket with the QR code. 3 how to get there: thinking of driving? If you are planning to drive we strongly encourage all Color Runners to share a ride with their mates and carpool. There are 4 carparks within a close proximity to the venue: Cloyne Road Carpark, Mal Burke Carpark, Athol Paterson Carpark and Carey Carpark. Better yet, try to be dropped off and picked up by friends or family and avoid the hassle of parking! looking to catch public transport? Music, entertainment, food trucks, epic color throws; The Village has it all! On event day, The Village will open at 7:00am and will keep you entertained with dance performances on the main stage, warm up routines, giveaways and so much more. After you have made your way through the incredible 5K course and cross our finish line into The Village you ll want to stick around because the fun has just begun! you can expect: Massive insta-worthy Color Throws Captain Color and her real life unicorn (yes that's right) DJs and dance parties MOJO Color Fights and a VÖOST Wellness Van FREE Slurpees, fresh fruit, Krispy Kreme doughnuts and coffee all thanks to 7-Eleven olor? 5 the color run course As you walk, run, skip or dance through our course you will go head to head with our COLOR ZONES and be blitzed by color. It is a special recipe of magical color dust that is 100% natural, safe and food grade quality. 6 rules & safety Walkers/dancers stay to the LEFT and runners to the RIGHT. This way it s safe for everyone. Color Rollers Wheelchairs and prams are the only wheels permitted on course and it is recommended you keep yourself towards the back of the start line. Leave bikes, scooters etc at home please. If you are running with small children please watch and direct them through the event. We recommend writing your name and mobile number on your child s race bib in case they get lost. If you are concerned with any part of the colour experience feel free to wear safety glasses, a bandana, dust mask or similar. Should you have any difficulties whilst on course please notify a staff member or volunteer. No furry friends Please keep your animals at home even if you think they would look cute and colourful. Follow the directions provided by event officials and volunteers. If you injure yourself, there is First Aid at The Village as well as at each Color Zone. If you suffer from asthma please remember to bring your asthma puffer with you. Our coloured corn starch powder is not harmful in any way, however as with any dust particles it can cause temporary discomfort. Leave your valuables at home! There are no bag drop facilities at the event. Please report anything or anyone lost to the Information Tent (location within the Festival Village). While the colour should mostly wipe off your device, if you are concerned about the colour damaging your phone, wrap it in cling wrap or place in a ziplock bag. HAVE FUN and remain respectful and courteous to everyone around you.

7 captain Color's preparation & clean up tips preparation: Prepare your hair We recommend using a leave-in conditioner, coconut oil, Moroccan oil or something similar in your hair, as this will help the color to wash out post event. However, if you are not okay with having any color in your hair as a badge of honor for a few days, get creative and wear a hat or wig especially if you have blonde hair (take this as your warning). Cover your seats Pack an old towel or garbage bag to sit on the trip home. Slip, slop, slap Coat yourself in sunscreen and lip balm with SPF in it. Not only will it protect you from the sun, it will help the color to slide off when you re done. Shield your eyes Sunnies, goggle or similar items will avoid any irritations. Leave your favourites at home While the color will eventually wash out of everything, we suggest leaving your expensive strollers or running shoes at home (just in case). cleaning up: Hit the Cleaning Zone They will blow all the loose powder off the leaving you touch clean. Dust off Shake off as much of the dry powder as you can before adding any water. Ponchos Available at each nearby station for those catching public transport Washing your hair Anti dandruff shampoo is best for helping remove any color patches. If it needs something a little extra, add baking soda to your shampoo to form a paste. Shower When you get home, shower as normal and add baking soda to your body wash for stubborn spots. Clothing Dust off all excess color, wash items separately in cold water. Napisan or similar will work wonders..
