2 Parent Handbook 2 Welcome Parents Welcome to Brawley Pop Warner Football & Cheer Program. In providing this booklet we hope to answer many of your questions before you ask. Brawley Pop Warner provides a football and cheer program for boys and girls ages 5 through 15. We are a non-profit organization made up entirely of volunteers hoping to provide an activity for our youth that teaches responsibility, teamwork and discipline while still providing lots of fun. If this is your first involvement with our organization then welcome to the family, if you are returning Welcome Back! Please be aware of the fact that we are all volunteers and are always looking to get more people involved. If you are interested in helping, you may speak to our board members or to your head coach. We feel strongly that the children get more out of the experience when they feel that they have shared it with their family. All coaches and other volunteers are required to have an application on file with Brawley Pop Warner so that we can do a background check. We are sensitive to the fact that some people do not have the best interests of the participants at heart and we do what we can to put our participants first. Most of us have children in the Pop Warner program as well and we know it is not an expense that can be taken lightly. We ask that you be supportive of our efforts and get involved. If you have ideas that would allow us to charge less, then please get involved and help make it happen. It is our goal to allow as many kids to participate as possible. If you are in a situation that you may not be able to pay the entire costs, then speak to us and we will see if we can make special arrangements or delay the payments. Registration Fees Below is an estimated breakdown of your registration fees. It is hard to be exact when most of these numbers depend solely on the number of participants that register; numbers are not confirmed and set until after August 1 st. The board does its best to secure the best prices as well as provide quality. 3 Parent Handbook 3 Structure A player is on a team (Wildcats, Sun-Devils, Bulldogs ), grouped by division (Midget, Peewee ), belonging to an Association (Brawley, Mid-Valley, Calexico..) which plays within a league (Imperial Valley Pop Warner Football, Tucson) which is part of a Region (Western Conference a.k.a. Wescon) which is part of Pop Warner Little Scholars. Teams Brawley Football Association provides flag and tackle football for boys and girls ages 5 through 15. Cheerleading for girls and boys ages 5 through 15. All Brawley teams carry the same team name of Wildcats. When more than one team is formed within a division, designations will be indicated by colors such as the blue team or gold team. Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. Non-Profit Status Brawley Pop Warner is a non-profit organization funded entirely by parents and community support. We do not receive funding from our national office; as a result, we are very conscientious of our budget limitations. All of the adults you see at practices are volunteers, including the coaches and board members. Funds collected on behalf of Brawley Pop Warner should be turned in to BPW, they should NOT be held by the teams. Accounts have been set up to track the funds raised by each team, donations can be designated to go to a specific team and the team will get credit for the funds. Little Scholars Pop Warner is technically Pop Warner Little Scholars. All participants must turn in a complete full year report card and have at least an overall 2.0 grade point average in the core subjects to be certified to play. If the participant does not meet the minimum 2.0 grade point average, he/she will be placed on academic probation. Parents, participant, and the head coach will sign a Scholastic Eligibility Forms before certification. The participant has until Mid-October to improve grades and must turn in a grade check form. If the participant fails to reach a 2.0 grade point average by Mid-October or does not turn in a grade check by deadline, he/she will be removed from the Pop Warner roster and will be ineligible to participate in football or cheer. Registration fee or uniform costs will not be refunded. There is also an application for All-American status for those who achieve very good grades (above 96%) and are in 5 th grade or higher. This form is available and all qualified children are strongly encouraged to apply for this recognition. IVPWFL Imperial Valley Pop Warner Football League is the league entity that Brawley Pop Warner operates within. The other associations belonging to IVPWFL that we will compete with are the Mid-Valley Sun-Devils (Black, Red, White), Calexico Bulldogs, Mexicali Halcones, Mexicali Zorros, Mexicali Dragones, Holtville Pop Warner, Imperial Tigers and Yuma Pop Warner (Scorpions & Sidewinders & Rattlers). The IVPWFL has the authority to modify the National rulebook by implementing more stringent rules when it feels it is appropriate. Brawley Pop Warner also has the authority to impose stricter regulations at their local level.

4 Parent Handbook 4 Association Organization Brawley Pop Warner has a board of directors, which include the following positions: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Cheer Coordinator, Assistant Cheer Coordinator, Football Coordinator, Equipment Manager, Assistant Equipment Manager, Little Scholars Coordinator, Insurance Coordinator, Fundraising Coordinators, and Snack Bar Coordinator. This board holds regular meetings, which are open to the public. Elections are held at the end of the season (November) for the following year. For more info, contact any board member. There are often vacancies on this board if you are interested in getting involved. The board selects the head coach and assistant coaches for the teams based on applications from interested volunteers. Coaching and board positions do NOT automatically renew each year; new applications must be submitted for each year. A person CANNOT be on the board and on a coaching staff at the same time. Miscellaneous Parent Information Parent & Family Support Support of the parents is greatly appreciated and in some cases required. Each parent will be expected to contribute in some way, whether in the snack bar, counting plays or providing other support for the team coaching staff. We ask that all parents work closely with the coaches and team mom to fulfill all the necessary needs your child s team will have. Depending on the number of home games we are scheduled and the amount of participants on a roster you may have to bring oranges/snacks/drinks more than once and work the snack bar more than once. Please make arrangements and prepare yourself to help and be involved. We appreciate the work of all our volunteers. Announcements Again, we ask that you keep in close contact with your child s team mom, coach, or business manager. There are constant announcements, events, changes, and reminders each week, and in order to stay up to date you may need to speak with your team mom and coach regularly, make sure they have a cell number and address they can use to get ahold of you. Ideally the coach will read these to the team, but this doesn t always happen or all parents aren t always present when it is read. You can also check for announcements regularly on our FACEBOOK page Brawley Pop Warner and on our website they provide late changing information such as field or time changes, deadline reminders, balance of funds for the teams, upcoming game schedules and other necessary information. Also posted each week are the current league standings and game scores. Turning in Money All payments made to the Brawley Pop Warner (registration, uniform, donations, and fundraisers) should be turned in to a board member only, NOT to your coaching staff. If it is a donation on behalf of a team, be sure it is written on the check what team the funds are to be applied to. The Association typically has a representative available at the upstairs office every day of practice. You should also get a receipt for any monies turned in or we will not be held responsible for receiving it. Payments for registration and uniforms made after 8/1/13 should be made in cash, money order or cashier s check. Returned checks will be subject to a $35 charge. Volunteers Volunteers are needed for other tasks besides the coaching positions. We use volunteers to help in the snack bar, to help on the sideline holding the chains and down marker, we also use volunteers to help count the plays. We

5 Parent Handbook 5 constantly have difficulty filling these last roles so if you are interested, PLEASE speak with your coach, team mom, business manager, or a board member. Dropping & Refunds If you do not participate in Pop Warner after you have already signed up then you must notify us that you will not be participating. The date of notification determines the amount of refund we are able to provide. Drop before 8/1 full registration refund less jersey/uniform fee Drop on or after 8/1 no registration refund Game Jersey/Cheer Uniform only refunded if not yet ordered, otherwise no refund. Cheer uniforms are ordered in May and June. If we have already ordered your uniform, you are entitled to the uniform when it arrives, assuming it has been paid for. Money deposited for gear will be settled with the adult responsible for the gear when it is turned in. It must be turned in by the end of the calendar year, or your deposit will be forfeited and the balance owed for the equipment must be paid or the equipment returned. Parent Behavior Be aware that inappropriate behavior by you affects your child. Referees will NOT always make the same call that you would. Too many times parents get worked up about a game, the penalties or coaching decisions. Don t forget you are a role model, and it s only a game. We must teach the kids to play fair and live by the decisions of others, even when we don t agree or know they have made bad decisions. The referees can (and will) eject parents and coaches from games. The referee also has the authority to call a forfeit if they feel threatened by either coaching staff or parents. Association presidents can (and will) eject parents from games as well (the child will likely be ejected with the parent). If you do not leave the stadium the officials have the option of calling a forfeit loss against your team. If you are ejected from a game, please leave the stadium peacefully so we won t have to call the police and make it even more embarrassing for your child. If ejected, the person ejected is not to participate at the following game. It is also important to support your coaching staff. You may not agree with the play calling or substitutions, but they give a lot of their time to make this happen. It isn t fair for you to complain from the sidelines when you give so little of your time to the team. If you see something you don t agree with, find a constructive way to fix it, complaining won t fix a problem. If you don t like the officiating, become an official. If you don t like the coaching, become a coach. If you don t like the board decisions, become a board member. Please note as a parent you are representing our program, your child s team, and most of all, your child. So before you react, please take a moment to think about it first because your actions will reflect on everyone. Parent Code of Conduct IVPWFA Parent s Code of Conduct 1. When you don t agree with a referee, show the children how you can rise above it, don t sink to shouting and intimidating or you may be asked to leave the field. 2. If an official or board president asks you to leave the game, you must leave the entire stadium. The police may be called to remove you. This is humiliating for your child. 3. Don t use your child as a threat. He/She won t play if isn t helpful to anyone and is a hurtful attitude about the child. 4. Inappropriate language, alcohol and smoking are NOT permitted in any Pop Warner activity. You may be asked to leave for any of these infractions. 5. Applaud good plays; don t dwell on bad plays. 6. Kids imitate their parents, so please act in a manner that will make your child proud of you rather than embarrassed of you. 7. There is more to life than football. Encourage your child to participate in other activities.

6 Parent Handbook 6 8. Respect the coach s decisions and abilities. Don t force your kid to decide on whether to listen to you or the coach. 9. Stress fair and sensible play. Nobody needs to get hurt because someone is not playing by the rules. 10. Stress the long-term importance of practice over the short-term excitement of the game. 11. Keep things in perspective. Most kids won t make it to the NFL, but everyone can learn about sportsmanship, friendship, teamwork and keeping a good attitude. 12. Stress the importance of the team/squad. 13. Never lose sight of the fact that you are a role model. 14. Winning probably means more to you than it does to your kid. 15. Don t get too worked up if your kid makes a mistake. Point out what they do well. Positive reinforcement goes a long way. 16. Take time to learn the rules of the game. That way, if you disagree with the referee, at least you ll know what you re talking about. 17. Referees are a rare breed, we need them. Not many people would put up with the abuse they take. If you think you could do better, become a referee. 18. Do your best to have your child to practice and games regularly and on time and with all of their equipment and uniform. 19. Remember that coaches and league administrators are volunteers. A thank you every once in a while is often reward enough. Getting Onto a Team Registration Registration is the process of signing up your child and paying a fee. Signups begin usually in March and end in June, possibly as late as early August depending on remaining availability on the teams. Registration and payment does not guarantee a place on a team, required documents and final certification must be provided and completed. Before registering please make sure your child wants to participate, they will be asked during the certification process. If your child does not pass final certification, he/she will not be allowed to participate and there are no refunds after August 1 st. Assignment to Teams Assignments to teams are determined with league approved methods and are NEVER hand picked (drafted) by the coaches. Parents are also not permitted to request a certain coach and requests to be on the same team, as a friend will not be honored. However, siblings can request to stay together on the same team assuming they meet the appropriate age/weight requirements. For example, a sister may cheer for her brother as long as she is otherwise eligible to be in that age group. Our goal in assigning players to teams is to have the teams turn out balanced by age and experience; it should have nothing to do with friends or parents. Divisions with more than one team such as Cubs and Mitey Mites are filled up first by returning player who played on that team the prior year (blue or gold). New players will first fill up the open spots on the blue team and then the gold team. In the event we may need a third team that will be designated as the white team. After June 1 st registration, returning players lose their priority to the team their child played on the previous year and will be placed on the team with the open spots, so it is always best to register early. The color team your child played on as a Cub does not give priority to the same color team in the Mitey Mite division, that player will be considered to be new and will be placed accordingly.

League age is determined by the child s age on July 31. Typically children will be placed on the youngest team they qualify for in both age and weight, consideration is also given to the number of years the child has played prior to this year. Our league representative is the one who has the final authority to determine the appropriate division for a participant to join. Requests by parents (in writing) may be made within the bounds of the above chart, but we cannot promise that all requests will be accommodated. Children can only play in the Cubs and Mitey Mite divisions for two years, there will be no three year participants on a team. Only under rare circumstances where the participant does not make weight for the higher division and League has approved the 3 year participant. Physicals Every participant must have a doctor s approval to participate in Pop Warner. Each year Brawley Pop Warner asks local doctors if they could offer some of their time for free or low cost physicals for the players. We have been well supported in this effort in the past, but ultimately it is the parent s responsibility to be sure this approval is documented with us on our form. A child will not be permitted on the practice field until a physical is documented in their paperwork. The physical must have taken place this calendar year. Certification Certification is the process of approving the players for participation in the season. A player (football and cheer) must be certified to be on the official roster, which allows them to participate in Pop Warner. We usually have two chances to certify before the first game. To be certified, a player will need to have: The registration form filled out completely with the appropriate signatures. A physical indicating fitness to participate (on BPW form page 1-2) If an inhaler is needed, an extra one must be provided to be kept with the Coach. An end of school year report card with at least a C average in core subjects, 2.0 gpa. An original copy of the official county (not hospital) birth certificate. Will be returned after certification. A photo of the child. (wallet size, no hats, or hair on their face, 2x2)

8 Parent Handbook 8 A record of at least 20 hours of practice (this will be provided by the team) For football players, the player must be within the correct weight range Residency document The process of certifying players is done by league officials and therefore only done at selected times. Once a player has been certified, they cannot be moved to a lower division. If a player is not certified at the last deadline, they cannot continue with the Pop Warner Program. Weight Issues Cheerleading is not involved with weight issues, only football. A child may not sign up with Pop Warner if there is not an appropriate division they fit into based on their age and weight. A player may not sign up and may not participate in practice if they are more than 6 pounds over the weight limit for their division. We cannot support losing this much weight, or allow a player this heavy to block & tackle smaller players. The weight limitations must be met before a player can be certified onto the team roster. Certifications are usually the third and fourth week after the start of practice. One pound per week (after the first scheduled week of games) is added to the maximum weight to allow for growth, but the player must certify at the original weight limit. Player weights will be checked at every game; they must also wear a jockstrap and may not have metal cleats. Gear Gear Brawley Pop Warner Provides Tackle football gear is very expensive and is only loaned to the players. Each tackle football player will be issued: helmet, shoulder pads, hip pads (2), tail pad, thigh pads (2), knee pads (2), game pants, game jersey, game belt, game socks and a mouthpiece. Players should NEVER wear the game pants to practice. Each flag football player will be issued a jersey, game shorts, socks and a mouthpiece. No substitutions shall be made without approval of BPW President. Cheerleaders are issued one pair of shoes with their uniform and those are only to be worn at competitions, parents are required to purchase shoes for practices and games. Gear Parents Provide The parents are expected to provide a practice shirt/jersey, practice pants, cleats, and compression shorts or jockstrap (required at all practices and games). If you are new to this, please be aware that a jockstrap and a cup supporter are not the same thing. A cup supporter is larger and is designed to hold a plastic protective cup; a jockstrap (or athletic supporter) does not involve a cup but is only used for support. The jockstrap is usually worn next to the skin and underwear may be worn over it. The compression shorts are basically the same support as a jock strap, but may cost a little more money. This choice is up to the parent as its part of your cost to participate. Please note it is required of your child to wear one of these at all practices and games, and will be checked at weigh ins before each game, more than one may be needed as they tend to get dirty rather quickly. It is also helpful to have cleats for your child. Be aware that the cleats may not have any exposed metal in the cleats. Some baseball cleats have metal cleats and these are strictly forbidden in football. Some football cleats have rubber covered removable metal cleats; these are okay as long as the metal is not showing. Cleats may not be longer than ½. Some parents choose to buy their kids special or extra mouthpieces. Please be aware they need to have the keeper strap for all football players. Please read the instructions on the mouthpiece to insure a proper fit and insure it s authorize/approved for Pop Warner football use.

9 Parent Handbook 9 Gear Care Soap and water cleanup is acceptable for all of the football pads. Helmets and shoulder pads should not be dunked or soaked but may be scrubbed with a mild detergent and disinfectant. Be sure that all pads are rinsed well, soap and disinfectant can be a serious skin irritant and once it is mixed with sweat it can run into the eyes as well. Clothing should be washed regularly or mold and rashes may develop. If your gear is damaged, check it with your team equipment manager and bring it to the snack bar for replacement if necessary. We do NOT want you to practice with faulty or damaged gear. Please do not use your gear outside of Pop Warner activities. It is possible we may make extra practice pants and pant pads available for purchase at the snack bar in case you want extra sets so you won t need to wash as often. Checking out Gear Usually in early August we hand out gear. You may be issued the shoulder pads and helmet separate from the rest of the gear. At the time gear is issued, a $50 deposit per player will be taken to insure that gear is returned. A parent or guardian must sign for the gear and this same parent is expected to turn it back in to get the deposit back. Turning in Gear Please do NOT turn in your gear to your coaches. We will collect the gear after the season at the snack bar and check for the individual pieces. We need the adult who signed for the gear to turn it back in so we can refund the deposit. If you drop before the end of the season, turn in your gear at the snack bar and we can give you a check back for your deposit. If the gear is not returned by then end of the year (12/30), we will keep your deposit and you will be expected to pay for the remaining replacement value of the gear. Money & Budget Registration & Uniform Costs Registration for 2013 tackle football will be $295 per child including jersey. New numbers will need to be ordered if your child moves to another division and that number is taken. Registration for flag football will be $200 per child including jersey and shorts. Registration for cheerleaders with there uniforms $ Cheerleader uniforms take longer to receive and must be ordered by mid May at the latest. We require the uniform fee to be paid in full and the full registration before the 1 st day of practice. Uniforms for Cheerleading Cheerleading uniforms consists of shell, skirt, bloomers, socks, pom-poms, midriff, shoes, yellow ribbon, and bag (optional). The shoes can not be worn until the day of local league and regional competition. Parents are required to provide shoes to be used at practice and for the games. The midriff can be worn only on the decision of the head coach due to weather conditions; otherwise it is only to be worn for local league and regional competition. All participants must wear the same uniform during games. Exceptions to any uniform changes will be made by the President and Cheer Coordinator. Donations Donations for Pop Warner are solicited from hundreds of area businesses each year. Parents do most of the legwork in this process and turn in the funds to get credit for their team. Formal donation letters are available at the office and are provided to each of the teams. Please do not make your own donation request letter as you are not an

10 Parent Handbook 10 official Pop Warner representative. If you need a special request letter, mock up an example of what you would like and ask the President if it can be provided in such a form. Fundraising Fundraising support will be expected of all families involved with Pop Warner. Registration Fees cover only about a third of our total expenses for the year, so fundraising is extremely important. We have sold barbeque plates, raffle tickets, Gold Canyon candles and solicited donations from various businesses throughout our area in the past and have been well supported. Brawley Pop Warner teams have their own fundraisers to support the general fund. Each team is obligated to raise a certain amount for BPW. NO donation request letter shall be made by any individuals or teams to solicit funds. If a letter to do so is desired, it may be request from the BPW board ONLY. Budget Copies of our budget are available at the upstairs office for anyone interested in the costs associated with running this Association. Before you complain about how much it costs, please be aware that other Associations in other areas charge much more for their registration. It is a constant balancing act to find the point where we can afford a safe program and still provide it at a cost to the parents that is as little as possible. We are not supported financially by a parent organization so we are not in a position to dissolve debts without paying them. Team/Game/Schedule Information Practice We start practice on/or around August 1st from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m. at Wiest Field or Ed Soto Field behind Warne Field in Brawley. Practices are Monday through Friday during the month of August until school starts (at the discretion of the board). When school starts, practice will only be three days per week (Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays from 6:00pm-8:30 p.m.). Practice times are subject to change. Parents are encouraged to stay and watch practice and organize as a support group for their team to help the coaches with off-field activities and responsibilities for the team. We must insist that you stay off the actual practice fields as our insurance only covers those volunteers who have been formally approved by us. Game Schedule Games are scheduled ONLY by our league s scheduling agent. Coaches or Associations are not permitted to set up their own games. If contact has been made with another party interested in playing one of our teams, please forward the information to the Association President or to the League Scheduling Agent. We usually receive our schedules in the middle of August and make copies for all of the parents. Do not expect children on different teams to play at the same locations, in many cases this are not possible. Away Games/Non-League Games Cubs and Mitey Mite divisions do NOT travel to areas outside of our own league. The other (older) divisions may play games against opponents from other leagues but they will only play against teams of the same division. We will have maps and directions available to the various game sites at the snack bar. If you need a map to a game site then please stop by and ask for one. Non-League game sites may not be available until the week of the game.

11 Parent Handbook 11 Please plan ahead and don t take a chance your child will miss the game because you couldn t find the field or got separated following someone else. Non-League games are not considered when determining the League Champion. Regular Season Practice starts in August, games start in September and finish at the end of November, sometimes into December. The season usually consists of 9 or 10 weekly games followed by a post-season game or two if the team finishes well and/or post season games can be arranged. Games are played on Saturdays usually with the youngest players earliest through the oldest players latest in the day. Schedules of games will be provided. Some games will be played in Mexicali and Yuma. These games are NOT optional; the team is expected to participate fully at all games. All divisions and teams will NOT play their games at the same location each week. Post Season Cubs and Mitey Mites will have a post-season tournament (the Cub Classic/the Mitey Mite Classic) rather than post season games. The reason for this is that standings are not kept for Cub or Mitey Mite divisions. They are considered learning divisions and the competitiveness is hopefully kept to a minimum. Other teams may be invited to post season bowl games as the league standings progress. The league champions may play a WESCON championship or invitational game. It is possible that a team may qualify for the Pop Warner National Playoffs in Florida in December if it wins the regional championship game or tournament as well. Cheer squads must place in the local league competition and then qualify at the regional tournament to advance to national competition (also in Florida). Funding for travel expenses are NOT covered by your registration, it is up to the parents and the team to provide and/or get donations for the necessary funds. Teams going to Nationals will normally receive a portion of the league travel fund, but it will be just a fraction of the overall costs. Team Fundraising Teams may solicit donations and/or hold fundraisers to meet their team obligation to BPW and to build up their own team funds for traveling expenses, trophies, etc. All team fundraisers must be approved by the BPW board before they start. All funds WILL be turned in to the Association and a receipt WILL be written! Under no circumstances should a team set up its own bank account indicating it is a Pop Warner account. The head coach & business manager determine use of team funds with approval by the President. Team account funds balance sheet will be available upon request from the Treasurer. Each player must participate in all team fundraisers. If they do not participate, they can and will be suspended from the next home game. Snack Bar All parents/guardians should participate in working snack bar during practices and games. Please keep in mind that the snack bar helps with the general fund, and during games, helps BPW pay for the referees. It is very important that parents/guardians support our snack bar. Team mothers/business Managers will provide sign up sheets to schedule times and locations to work the Snack Bar. Depending on the number of home games we have and participants on a team, you may have to work the snack bar more than once, and in addition to providing snacks/drinks/oranges, doing play counts, and the chains/down marker. Please prepare yourself to be involved where and when needed by your team.

12 Parent Handbook 12 Head Coaches & Coaching Staff Head coaches must apply each year to be a Head Coach for Pop Warner. The board decides on a Head Coach (with approval from IVPWFL) and his/hers supporting staff. A coaching staff consists of 1 Head Coach, up to 4 Assistant Coaches, 1-Equipment Manager, 1-Business Manager, optionally a Team Mom, and optionally a Trainer. Someone on the staff who is always present MUST be CPR/First Aid certified. All staff must have an approved application on file with BPW board before they can interact with the children. The head coach and two assistants must attend a local 2-day clinic every year before taking the position of coach. If the head coach is not at the game, another member of the staff must have attended the clinic and act on behalf of the head coach or the team cannot play the game. Note to Head Coaches: Have as many of your staff attend the coaches clinic, it protects the team if you have to miss a game, it gives the other coaches an introduction to the rules and concerns of the league, and Brawley covers the clinic costs to IVPWFL for BPW attendees. Cheer coaches have to attend the league risk management training as well as the JAMZ training that will take place at the cheer camp in August. Rules & Policies Absentee Policy If a child has missed (unexcused) four or more hours of practice time during the week, that child may not participate at the following game. Definition of excused is determined by the head coach and the BPW board. If three games are missed for any reason, the child is not eligible to participate in any post season competition. If a team is not able to have at least half of the team present at three or more games, the team is ineligible for post season competition. Team participation will require the minimum 2/3 attendance in Regionals. Cheerleaders are required to attend cheer camp in August with their team, this fee is included in your registration fee. Rulebooks Each team is supplied with at least one official Pop Warner Rulebook for the current season. We must purchase these from our National Organization and they state that they are to remain the property of Pop Warner. For this reason, we are not able to sell them to individuals. We should have a copy available at the office any time you want to check something, but the book is to remain at the office. In cases where a rule isn t specified, it is to be governed by the regions high school rules. Our league (IVPWFL) is able to restrict the rules declared by the rulebook even more, but is not able to adjust rules to be less strict. Custody Issues We ask that you please resolve any pending martial/custody issues prior to the season starting. If there are ongoing issues during the season we ask that you provide the board with a copy of your court custody/restraining order. We cannot enforce any custody/restraining orders without documentation and local law enforcement. Our practices and games are all public facilities, and unless someone is being disruptive and inappropriate, we can not ask them to leave just solely based on your request. Please try to keep your personal business off the field, away from the kids and program. Local League Rules Each league is able to pass certain rules more restrictive than the national rules. Work the SNACK BAR up to 3 times, if necessary 3. Bring snacks, drinks, and oranges when ASSIGNED 4. Fundraise for PLAYOFFS/REGIONALS, if necessary 5. Attend Pop Warner Night on October 11 th with your child 6. Attend Picture Day with your child in September 7. Help promote and attend BPW events 8. Be COURTEOUS and HELPFUL to your TEAM MOM 9.
