RULES OF PLAY 1. These rules are subject to change by the Board of Management. 2. Use of greens in general is at the discretion of the Greens Chair. Members must not remove the Green Closed sign without the explicit permission of the Greens Chair or the President, or the President s designated representative. 3. Use of North and South Greens: In order to even the usage of artificial turf on the greens, the following rules should be observed: a. The north green will be used on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, whereas the south green on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. There is no restriction on Sundays. b. When the scheduled green is fully occupied, or when there is competitions/special event taking place on that green, the other green can be used. If both greens are occupied by tournaments, open bowlers may play on either green, using a spare rink furthest from the competing teams first so as to minimize disturbance to competitors. c. The direction of play is North South all day. d. Under special circumstances, with the consent from the Greens Chair or the President, the non-scheduled green may be used and/or the direction of play may be changed.

3 4. Club Competitions or invitations will always take precedence over Mixed Draw or. Please check the Calendar of Events & Bulletin Boards to avoid disappointment. 5. All name tags must be in 15 minutes before any draw and the member must be in attendance. Members who arrive after the draw has been laid out will not be inserted unless required to complete a team. The draw person will not be expected to drop out to accommodate latecomers. 6. Mixed Draw will consist of 14 ends. 7. Entry fee for all Club Competitions per player is $5.00 for any event with 4 or less games, and $10.00 per event with 5 or more games. 8. Skips are responsible for their team in all events. Players should inform their skip if a substitute is required. In the event that a skip cannot play, the skip should inform the Games Convener concerned. 9. No player is allowed to practice on the rink that he/she is supposed to play on the day of the competition/tournament. 10. Under the City s By-laws, no smoking is allowed within 25 meters of all city owned outdoor sport facilities, including the lawn bowling club. 11. Food, beverages (other than water) are not allowed at any time on the greens and the banks within the fenced areas beyond the yellow line. 12. No grippo shall be used on bowls and hands. 13. Bowlers not wearing proper bowling shoes will not be allowed to play. Clean bowling shoes must be changed inside the club house or at the bank to minimize dirt and chippings brought onto the playing surface. 14. No cell phone shall be used on the greens during competitions. Use of cell phones in Mixed Draw and is also discouraged. 15. Please be reminded that whites or team color (applicable to nomination games only) must be worn for the following events: Club competition semi-final and finals including one day tournaments. Holiday draws (Saturday & Sunday not included) Invitations and visits Opening day, New Members Tea Party and Awards Day Other occasions as specified in the club calendar or by the Board of Management. Although most events requiring whites are specified in the Club Calendar, members are still asked to pay attention to further notices regarding changes. Please do not embarrass the club by wearing non-club colors when whites are required. 16. Members are encouraged to wear their name tags when on the green. 17. Bowlers shall play the game with the spirit of good sportsmanship and adhere to the code of ethics at all times.

(5) No Spotlight is allowed except with approval from the Board of Management. (2) Open bowling from 9 a.m. till dusk. (3) Mixed Draw on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 1 p.m. Please observe the notice(s) issued by the Board from time to time for changes of (4) Fun Mixed Money Draw on every Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. arrangement.
