If any issues arise please take them quietly and discretely to the respective Show Manager in the first instance. Any official complaints will be dealt with by the Disputes Committee. Numbers For Competitors in Agility, Obedience & Rally Numbers to be collected on arrival laid out in the hall and bundled by owner surname. Control of Dogs Remember OCTC has a no tie up policy. This means that dogs may not be tied up anywhere. If they are in a vehicle they must not be able to get their head out. Don t let your dog urinate or foul anywhere inside the building or the garage. including the posts, equipment bins or on any equipment. If they do, then clean up. Catering NO EXCUSES FOR GOING HUNGRY!!! Our normal high standard of catering will be available. Look out for any special messages the café folk may announce via the onscreen scroller bar. 2 Agility Competitors Course Walking Course in next ring will be announced open for walking by Show Manager as soon as Judge has declared it ready. Timer display will be in count down mode during course walking once present class has completed. Watch the time remaining and leave the course promptly when it reaches zero and the horn sounds. All class helpers to be on their station and first competitors lined up ready to run when course walk ends. Scratchings If scratching from the class in progress, please advise the Call Steward as soon as possible. If scratching from future classes or definitely know of scratchings for other people, please report those to the Score Desk so we can amend the call sheets. Running Order Clashes Handlers with multiple dogs have already been allowed for, but if we have missed any occurrences or left insufficient gap, let us know before the class begins. We ll adjust if necessary, but multiple dogs will run in the order they were placed by the random draw. Be reasonable in your requests to be moved just wanting to leave early is not always a good enough reason unless it is for a specific appointment we ALL want to get away as quickly as possible! Assembly Area Be in the assembly area in plenty of time for your run. Keep entry to the ring clear for dogs / people that need to be passing through. Leave clear access to the call board for those checking in. Bring your dog into the start area on a lead. Also your dog must be back on lead before leaving the finish area and going back through the assembly area. This is NZ Agility Committee safety policy and it does help avoid any potential conflicts between hyped up dogs Numbers & Start line etiquette! Please wear correct number for the dog you are about to run. It s helpful to call steward, scrimer and other competitors in the assembly area. Agility uses pre-numbered scribe sheets, but please notify scrimer of any handler change from that shown on call board. Make eye contact with the scrimer before you run to ensure they have completed the previous dog and are actually ready to record your run. Prizegiving Novice 1 will be a 3 split competition: Maxi, Midi, Mini/Micro (Ribbons awarded to 3 rd ) Prizegiving scheduling is in your running order sheets. Class results are posted on the display board. You all know when you are going to be required for prizegiving - be ready!! Other Clear Round achievers announced - collect CRC s from the box in the garage. Top Starter Dog and Top Dog There will be recognition for the Top Dog in Starter competition over the weekend plus an overall Top Dog. All Top Dog points will be calculated as if classes were not split. Finally, thank you for entering our show. OCTC hopes that you have an enjoyable weekend.
