We use the Turbine vacuum when needed while we are in planning in 2016 to install permanent PrecisionAire units at every green. Since that installation, we have built two more greens and rebuilt 1 of Merion s famous 100 year old greens. We used an earthy mix and yes, we put PrecisionAire under all our new construction.

The results this system provides blew me away - reduced divot size & healthier turf that withstands millions of shots a month. Since that installation, we have built two more greens and rebuilt 1 of Merion s famous 100 year old greens. We used an earthy mix and yes, we put PrecisionAire under all our new construction. I anticipate this system will help keep our turf healthy while we get our surfaces as hard as concrete and as fast as glass for the 2013 US OPEN. By controlling the moisture in the soil, PrecisionAire helps prevent the occurrence of surface algae, disease and root damage.

By moving air through the root zone harmful gases are removed from the entire green.

4 THE ULTIMATE SUBSURFACE AERATION SYSTEM How It Works MOISTURE REMOVAL The vacuum port of the PrecisionAire is connected to the drainage system. This creates a vacuum in the root zone which allows excess moisture to be removed. By controlling the moisture in the soil, PrecisionAire helps prevent the occurrence of surface algae, disease and root damage. AERATION Gases such as carbon dioxide and methane can gradually buildup in the root zone and cause poor growing conditions. By moving air through the root zone harmful gases are removed from the entire green.
